Hell, this car needs some suspension and brake tuning. It won't turn and brake at the same time.

Anyway, if you brake early (especially in the first 2 corners), gold is easy.

I got the gold trophy on my first lap. And went out immediately after. :D

golded with no SRF, best lap 1:57.6s. easy? yes. fun? no. can you believe the car has 50:50 weight balance? no, i dont believe it. RX7 has same balance and doesnt handle like this.

bumped up ABS to 5 just to get through turn 1. what is pain is that you need to do a lap before you can set a good lap time, or else you gota pull hand brake and do u-turn and go back nearly 1/3 of a lap just to do a good run in before you cross the start line, only to be ruined on turn 1 skidding off into the wall...:banghead:

Been away from home -and the game since Jan. 22, came home last night and thought i'd give this one a go since it's the first on the list.

First impression: All my friends' blue lines immediately showed up in front of me; Oh no, it's one of those tracks where you don't get the optimal speed from takeoff -that's frustrating if you have consistancy-issues. -And quite frankly i'm surprised that i had to read all the way to page 3 here before anyone mentions this (JujiroMatsuda).
Anyway, first cleen lap (and THAT took a while finding decent brakingpoints with THIS car!) 2.00.3something, put me to rank 43.XXX, gives the idea that we're a large community joining these first seasonals in GT6.
Drove another hour and set a 1.57.033 but i think there's still a couple of seconds in it for me; that last chicanelike-section is where it's mainly at. My brakingpoint is just after losing sight of that big sign beyond the grass to the left...

I found this one quite easy, did it again last night and kept dropping my time, bus stop and 1st turn are where you make or break your lap time, smooth in and throttle control out and you will enjoy. Ride height is strange which makes handling a little quirky but not as bad as some think, maybe just me. I use a DS3 and am in upper 1:57.xxx.

Stand by for action - I'm about to launch my Stingray super lap video :D

Hope you like the vid. Lots of tyre smoke on the first corner so am guessing could have been somewhat faster :embarrassed:.

(And as I always state, I use aids when driving, at my skill level it was hard enough to get a decent lap on this as it was. I have given up on the 86 GT lap for now at silver as I just can't get that extra couple of seconds out of it yet)

Anyway, feel free to comment, like, subscribe or moan. Well, maybe not the last one
More vids on the channel link in my signature

I watched the replay of the first 5 guys... pirata666,Giorgio,ubero,TeamGTPro Otrus... They use the handbrake in order that the car turns more...Sure that someone of you also uses. Since it is possible to touch the button of emergency brake with the turned steering wheel? For my, it turns out to me very difficult to do everything simultaneously..
Some way of doing it well?

I was going to mention it, I have had this draft saved for a few days......

I think this is a stupid starting setup for this TT.
The first lap can never really count as a flying lap because the car simply isn't up to full speed as you cross the start line like it would be from a full lap. You have to make the second lap count, and if you red lap there is no point in any restarting you should just continue around for the next lap.
They should have begun the rolling start from the exit of the bus stop to allow for full lap speed across the start line, or simply had the rolling start at full speed already from the current position.

Anyway, my current time stands at 1:58.017 and I am about to do another run.

EDIT: After plenty of restarts and many laps, I have dropped my time down to 1:57.177 :D

Thank you for the elaboration nowcontrol!👍

Omar_Trujy: Are you using DS3? -I am, and i don't do handbrake; i can't! For me it's this simple: Which finger do you use for (tapping the) handbrake/ Square button while maintaining speed/X-buttoncontrol? Should i practice with sliding the Thumb -or use Indexfinger? -Is it even possible to do properly with standard config.? (Forgive me if i'm missing something obvious :dunce:) A couple of times -in turn 1- i have managed to get a handbrake-like effect by softly clipping the grass to the right. If you catch that spin, you're flying outta there ...

Down to 1.55.267 -without flying start and without turn-1-trick 0.234 from the 2-second improvement i boldly announced and have come to make my goal for this one.:)

Didit-Edit: 1.55.004! Enough of this -not too funny i think...

Ran a 1:55.9xx pretty quickly (no aids), left around .4/5 in the infield, nailed the bus-stop and no flying start (first lap of session).

Ideally looking at a mid-low 1:55.

I spent half an hour on this one last night. I have absolutely NO idea how you "no aids" guys are getting this car around this track in under 2:00. I'm still 2 seconds away from gold. I absolutely cannot get this car to carry any speed at all through corners. Just like the M4, it will not turn in under braking or light throttle AT ALL, and transitions to snap oversteer if you get on the throttle hard with the wheels pointed anywhere but dead ahead.

My basic technique is point - shoot - brake massively early, putt around every turn, then point and shoot again. I don't know how people carry any speed through any of the infield turns.

Steer hard. I was smoking the front tyres most of the lap. 👍

I use a G27.

I found this pretty easy, car felt great to me.

Here's my lap:

Actually golded it first lap around so this is actually my faster second lap.
