I seriously doubt when this bill takes effect your situation will change any in the slightest, you might feel better in thinking the government is sticking it to the rich is about all.
It always has had limitations, namely a period-specific dictionary outlining original intent and obviously a thoughtful populace to scrutinize congressional decisions....which until this ruling had absolutely zero limitations.
Way to ignore everything I've said. But go ahead and keep on dodging bullets.
The only way this can negatively effect someone is if they can afford insurance but don't pay for it.
Right now, if I weren't covered by my well off dad I would be denied from any affordable insurance.
If I were to get into a car crash and my kidney to be squished, I would be saddled with more half a million for surgery alone, plus hundreds of thousands of dollars in medicine that I would have to take for the REST of my life.
And that's only if nothing goes wrong, my dad had a CMV virus which is extremely likely when receiving. If he didn't have insurance it would cost him $3k per REFILL for the medicine hes had to take for a 2 months now. If I don't pay, I die.
Having insurance goes a long way. According to the government I'm in a rich family.
What are you talking about?I seriously doubt when this bill takes effect your situation will change any in the slightest, you might feel better in thinking the government is sticking it to the rich is about all.
Dodging bullets? Oh, you shot me up real goodPlease explain...
Because if you can afford there is no reason not to have it. Unless you're an idiot.. Then its an idiot tax.And why should they have to exactly? I'm a bit dense so please tell me again.
Yes, as I mentioned in my very first post.I see, so you are insured after all then.
Most people don't have one kidney like I do. Actually, I'll take this a step further, most people don't have pre-existing conditions thus more likely to have insurance. And this is different then anyone else how?
You don't see a problem with medicinal monopolies?
Good for you, so what is the problem again? Oh, you think things are unfair and somehow the gov is going to set things straight right?
If you think our current system is working then you live under a rock or just blinded with what others tell you.
Can anyone put this whole debate about Obamacare in a nutshell? I'm lost in the long posts..
Ah. That was easy.
Almost the same system as here. Except the government pays a little less, max 50% I believe.
I hope you don't think, with your pithy Somalia comparisons and Civil War nonsense, that this bill actually does anything about this. Other than earmark even more money for said companies by making paying for their services compulsory, that is.You don't see a problem with medicinal monopolies?
Do you think it's acceptable that we pay taxes that go to things like police or fire services? Or is that also socialism?Nope, no rocks here, I know there are big problems with the system, they are created by the government to begin with 👍
What I'm telling you is big gov is not the solution, read the first post I made about all this and you will clearly see that.
It's basically Obama trying to create a socialist 'fix' to the already government choking of our brilliance and innovation. As I see it, and many others here, we need less government interference, the libs want more to the point of a completely government ran system.
FK would be the best one to ask 👍
Nice system that has proven its worth huh? Shame people don't realize that.
Microscopic Government seems to work for Somalia!
Food for thought, leaving things to the states won't make anything better.. But it sure as hell will cause a ton of fighting. Who doesn't love a good civil war?
Well, there is a tax on insurance companies based on market share. Not that it will do much, but it's something.I hope you don't think, with your pithy Somalia comparisons and Civil War nonsense, that this bill actually does anything about this. Other than earmark even more money for said companies by making paying for their services compulsory, that is.

How so?Don't be silly, a government by the people for the people is the idea. What we are discussing is something completely different.
aroraFalse. Neither services nor insurance cost will drop one penny.
Let me know how that common sense works out for you in a few years, I hope you post again at that time and prove me wrong.
I'm sure you will. However, I stopped reading after this sentence. I might be ignorant as to the finer points of American consitutional law, and I might be willing to learn more about it, but that doesn't give you a licence to be condescending in the way you go present yourself.I see we will be having fun today.
There is a reason I limit my conversation to a few here on gtp, it's nothing personal but some stimulate thought more so then others.
No, I don't take things for granted, that was a troll comment at best. I realize that you may not know me or my positions on many issues but I assure you I've been around a while and I lay myself out, must be that I'm not compelled by the weak arguments I see atm.
Bash, troll, etc all you wish, I'm sincerely sorry I cannot accommodate all of you, if it makes you feel any better I'll give you an internet win and cookie.
