DnB was the gateway drug for electronic music in general, once I got into it I branched out into basically everyother genre.

I even respect hardstyle/gabber/frenchcore because of the DnB sub genre Crossover. Lol

BOOM thread revival. Idk if this is a double post since my posts are so far apart time wise but i dont want to see this thread fall off the first page...

Highly recommend picking up Sick Music vol.3 if you are into new DnB. One of the best compilations to come out in in awhile imo. There are 26 tracks total in on the album.

I just checked itunes and Good looking records finally released their old songs to download. Good to enjoy the blast from the past eh? 👍

MaxNRG - Prometheus :D I am not the actual MaxNRG, though. And Noisestorm makes awesome DnB, too!

noisestorm is brilliant! one of the best artists out there! It's amazing how many views he gets on youtube, considering he is 'solo' and not with a label, and not recognized with a large channel

I was and am still am a little bit of a D&B fan and have loved it for about 17yrs.
Been raving more times than I can remember.
But these days the D&B sounds so cheesy now and commercial what happend to all the dark stuff?

Andy C's nightlife albums are good :)

Picked this up a couple of weeks ago. Worth a listen.

Just a question, would this still be considered as DNB? It is tagged as DNB but I don't dare to decide ;)
I have ever listened occasionally to DNB. And I've felt that drumstep is giving me more. But listening to that track, I've instantly felt the beat. And I've instantly felt the "rolling"(?) of the track. Which is not easy to achieve :D
The track just instantly got me hooked..

Good tune! :) My reason to like DnB is the drums. The patterns can still be slightly repetitive, but, at least it's mainly rhythmic and syncopated. :) If it's got that syncopation, it's fine to stay in this thread, as far as I care. :)

:)

I do like a lot of music, especially electronically based. Sometimes even "handmade" guitar stuff.
It's just, I need to "feel" the track, BUT this ain't an easy goal.

I'm making music myself for about 25 years right now. That's why, I do listen completely different to music than 99% of every other listener.. Hard to explain.. ;)

Yeah, not really "successful", as I'm not known for any music out there. But, practically there is a "release" (would fit somehow in the "industrial" thread) with a vast signature of my own style (back then :D).

This is more of a "selfish" thing. I compose tracks just to please myself. If others like the stuff, I'm more than fine with this 👍

Back to topic:

I've listened to a DNB stream on the weekend.. And yeah, it happened. A track got me hooked on the first listening. Seems to be old, but I don't care. As long as music gets me hooked fast, it must be magnificent. I didn't care to go to bed early, as I was repeatingly listening to that track.. 👍 - I was late for work today.. :dunce:

Spinlock & Jedison ft. Hien - Headspin

Does anyone have any recommendations for me what to listen to based on this track? I appreciate every helping hand :)
