Pendulum is not really my thing...

Hmm, this is the song from the Journey mix, though. I noticed you posted that already, so I won't, but it was excellent.

What I need is more music like that lol. :)

So yes, @CallmeDan, you have excellent tastes in music.

Edit: I now have Journey mix stuck in my head.

"City is beautiful, early in the morning air"

You're welcome for the ear worm

Oh really? A dnb thread. I produce some liquid & neuro funk when I have the time, some time ago it was my main job, now I'm focused on other things. I'll post some tracks when I get home.

Good thread. The ultimate driving music. Here's a good example (and no, I'm not one of those MC people who think they know electronic. It's surprising how much NOISIA, Culprate, etc. I listen to, not to mention other sub-genres.)

It's like the only Pendulum song I like.

I like Blu Mar Ten, Asa, KOAN SOUND, Resotone and various other artists with an emphasis on instrumentals and vocals mixing well.

Asa, KOAN SOUND, Resotone and someone else made an excellent DnB track recently... Can't remember the name ATM, though...

Edit: Culprate is also superb. TwoThirds had some good stuff...

Pendulum has some great tracks, specially on the very first albums

Yes! I love Tarantula! I enjoy more chill "liquid DnB" songs like in The Journey mix I posted earlier, but I also enjoy the crazy DnB songs too.

Examples of craziness:

I really want to start making my own drum n bass songs, but I don't have the equipment, knowledge, or money to do so. I get ideas for remixes all the time (In particular, Follow The Light by Sub Focus and Raise Your Weapon by Deadmau5) and I will beatbox a drum beat to myself when I'm alone. Ugh. This is like the only way I'm slightly creative and I'll never be able to make it at all.

I have Reason 5 and a MIDI keyboard and everything but the inspiration and time.

You can't have both

Lol same situation with me. FL 11, JBL LSR305's, AKAI MIDI Controller, +40 various unfinished electronic songs, and less and less time and motivation to finish anything. :( Plus many production concepts are still foreign to me, even after a year and half of creating. Oh well, guess I'll keep beatboxing and taking GT pictures. :P

Don't say that- if you have creativity you're halfway there already. Just pick up a decent pair of headphones or monitors (almost any Sennheiser headphones could suffice for beginning mixing), use a pro or free DAW, audiotool is a great one or *cough* piratebay *cough cough* [but actually buy the product !!!], find some tuts and put those ideas down. You just have to learn that finished products come only with practice and a lot of time, like almost every profession, not instantaneously.

My recommendation is Ableton Live. I've tried almost all the available DAWs out there and ableton is the most complete and easier to use. Reason is pretty good too. I own a Maschine as well which is great for scaffolding quick tracks, but at the end you'll need a DAW to mix the final track. A good pair of pro monitors is essential too.

Google for audioz, you'll find the software you need to get started and plenty of tutorials.

Oh, and obviously you need to know some music theory foundation

@ZetaRidge7, I find it hard to believe that Brookes Brothers are underrated, when they have songs on UKF. UKF just doesn't do underrated IMHO.

I see. The reason I personally thought Brookes Brothers was underrated was because I haven't seen enough of their remixes and stuff like that. That and I didn't think they had enough attention. That's just me though.

Anyways, here's some more DnB goodness! :D

Which is certainly fair, except that it is comparison territory - compared to Noisia, sure, very underrated. But, compared to Nhumo and a few others, not underrated at all.

So much DJ Fresh, ayyyyyy...

I'm hesitant to call this DnB, because it simply isn't. I'd say it's more like dubstep, but with serious DnB influences.

So - worthy of this thread, or not?

Edit: remembered the other, better Spor song, among my favourites.
