Hop into a NA practice session, the NA division as a whole runs quite fast. Come run some laps with us and we will show you how to race. :sly:

Guys,

I got a friend who would like to join the NA race next saturday (and all the ones to follow).

He ain't super fast but he's really clean and will abide by any rules. 👍

He's already a GTPlanet member, I gave him a link to this thread to follow up on.

So, if it ain't an issue with anyone, I'd appreciate if we could accept a driver even though the Championship is already underway.

The more the marrier right? :crazy: :crazy:

No prob Mojo! If you have noticed, we have picked up SPOLTY, All_in_won, and a few other racers since race 1. Another addition to the series would be awesome no matter how fast or slow they race. 👍

Thanks Turner, thats a shame you missed Deep Forest Raceway, as you can probally tell, this was by far the best race yet.

Audi, is there anyone on the NA Series list who you know cant take part anymore? It's so i can delete some player tags and free up some space. Only if they have got back to you and told you they cant race.

Really curious for the lap times. I went back to Deep Forest after using set ups (my car wasn't set up before last week's race) and shaved off 2+ secs in 3 laps. I wish I had more time to practice...probably fire up PS3 half hour before race and go, without knowing the track well. I know, lame excuse :)
 
Damm trial mountain is hard, them first few corners = scary understeer. Last few corners after back straight = oversteer.
Minardi, me and goruk(when i was there) got a fastest lap in the 1.20's, and having consistent in the 1.21s, good idea to get a lot of laps in and learn where you can put the power down.
Think i can find another 0.5s from a bit of twiddling with the toe and cambers :sly:

DEATH and I were running low 1.20s with a fastest for the night of a 1.19.8 I believe.

Turn some laps in before Saturday, even after all the laps DEATH and myself have done we are still sliding out in some places.
 
I might have just poached a random player for the European series and my friend might join if hasn't got the time.
I want a large grid for the euro series
Goruk it is possible, I just got a 1.21 on hards somehow. Think you have to be very smooth in those hairpins. But the American series seems so much quicker than us, maybe their disc makes them go faster :P
 
Please try to find as many drivers as possible for the EU-series tomorrow. I believe Symp won't join, and so doesn't Chicataks, I estimate my chance in joining about 75%. If Nicnew can't connect, which I don't hope, we really need some new drivers. May be some NA-drivers are able to join, or is that against the rules ? Yep, those NA-guys are fast, I wonder how they pull It off. Track length in inches instead of meters : )
 
I've posted a desperation thread in the hope of getting some more drivers. hopefully its works, otherwise its going to be a low turnout again. The only thing that may make it intresting is that theres no room for mistakes at the mountain, so you crash you straight into the pits.
 
I had a quick 15-20 laps practice today. 1st time i've managed to get some practice in a while. Was doing 1:26's and my best was a 1:24.2xx!:grumpy:. Think its going to be a long and lonely race for me at Trial Mountain.
 
I read somewhere, I can't find it again. About tires, and that they can't be changed from the warm up laps just before the race? If this is so can someone help me find that info again?

I am the host for all the NA races, I dont host a public room for the races, if you are interested send me a message on PSN with the subject of: NA DTM Driver. 👍 That way you can join through my lounge, If you have any questions on how to join let me know. It is really simple..

As for tires, we run a limit of, up to racing mediums. We also have rolling starts so if you dont know how that works, listen in during qualifying as I awlays explain the rolling starts before each race.

Well, I only did 3 laps yesterday, and won't be able to practice anymore and I have approx the same lap times. So I guess we can have a good fight at the back !
 
EU people, tonights plan. I will open a lobby up around 2000 GMT, and qualifying will begin 2030GMT as according to the lobby time on my GT5. I will name the lobby GTP DTM CHAMPIONSHIP PRIVATE, to hopefully keep them pesky players with their GT500's and X1s.

Think the title is limited to 20 characters or so, so might need to rename. Maybe leaving it blank with nothing might help it drift into the background without anyone noticing it.
I find as soon as i put 'DTM' in the title i get loads of people looking in the room, only to leave after they see the rules (no aids etc).
Also putting 'private' in the title just asks for trouble too.
 
I'll make it if I can, I promise. Time on a Friday is still generally an issue but if things change I'll be there. :indiff:
