"Luke, I'm your father" - it's the Darthmobile for the next Disney Star Wars movie :D

On a serious note, it will be interesting to see the complete design. Ferrari has definitely got one of the more eccentric design departments, they've probably come up with a lot of crazy stuff for this!

At this point, I'm just waiting for the actual reveal. I've seen enough ugly black panneled camo cars for awhile, from Ferrari.

Ferrari F70/'F150" preview at a private event

Ferrari has an old habit of showing off its future models to potential buyers (read extremely wealthy) behind locked doors well before it reveals the cars to the rest of the world.

One such private preview is rumored to have taken place on Wednesday, in Maranello, where Ferrari lifted the wraps off the F150 Project, which is the codename for the Enzo replacement that may or may not be called the F70 in production trim.

We will begin with FerrariChat forum member SergioAutoform who said one of his clients invited to the event, shared this post on his Facebook page:

"Just saw the F150 ( the new Enzo) official name not released yet. Overall view: only 499 will be produced. only available in 3 colour. 800hp at 9200RPM with additional KERS of 150HP. Zero to 100 in 3 second to 200 in 7 seconds. Max speed around 370KMH. Fiorano Best lap with Alonso driving 1:20. Numbering expected in less than 7minutes."
"Fixed seat. Adjustable paddles. Rear Wing and mobile Diffuser. Break from 200 to zero. In 115 Meters. Weight around 1280 include the electrical engine of 150kg. Chassis totally made of Carbon Fiber. T800 and T1000 sheet. Kavler protected underneath. The car is breathtaking. If I was a Saint and she was a ***** it would make me certainly a Sinner."

These numbers match another posting, this time at the Teamspeed forums:

950 BHP plays 1,270 KG
Bespoke V12 built to sound like a Formula One engine at full chat
Engine Red-Lines @ 9,200 RPM but Max Torque available from 1,000RPM
499 Cars @ EUR1.2 million
Official Launch in Geneva
Deliveries Commence December 2013

Best part in the entire thing

Dang.. wasn't the Enzo 0-200kph in 9.3 seconds or so? 2.3 second quicker o.O. This project gets more and more exciting with every piece of news. And a top speed around 229? Aw jeeez....

Kers is some sort of nitrous?

1.2 million euros sounds good for 950 bhp and 1,270 kg (more heavy than the regular enzo?)

KERS is the Prius-style IMA. :D

Most impressed with the weight numbers. That's a damn sight better than what Porsche did with the 918, but of course, the Porsche is carrying enough batteries to power a small city...

So much power in a car so light. Good God, I cannot even imagine how this thing will pull on the straights...

Why should Ferrari "cheat" its up to x speed/Fiorano lap times? The Nordschleife time is "expected", they didn`t do a lap so far.

This is Ferrari, not Chevrolet or Nissan who brag about Nordschleife times done on "road legal" tires.

This is Ferrari, who've made a habit of providing specially-fettled cars for tests. I wouldn't be surprised if they do the same thing when they do get this new car out for a record assault.

This.

The Ferrari you might be delivered is probably substantially slower than the one the reviewers used and the one they used to set the lap time they're bragging about.

Give that Chris Harris article a read.

We are talking about numbers directly coming from Ferrari for their Customers who are willing to spend +1.2 million $ on this car and not random car tests by a mag or tv show.

And Ferrari isnt the only manufacturer who cheats at tests done by journos. Audi does this everytime lol

edit:
Official numbers by Ferrari =\= Car mag/show tests

And its not unlikely that his 960hp/1200kg car did a 1:20 at Fiorano while a 2 times WDC was behind the wheel... typical Ferrari hate.

Oh. When you put it that way, I can't imagine why Ferrari would be willing to fudge their numbers a bit.

@Tornado: You really think Ferrari makes up the 0-100km/h number and Fiorano Lap time for their customers, just to sell their next halo car? This is no California or 458. We are talking about the Enzo successor. They don`t need to do this to sell those 499 cars.

Can you link me to these examples of Audi cheating tests?

Well I exagreated when I said "everytime", but on german car forums its general knowledge that Audi (and Mercedes/BMW of course too) send "special" cars to tests, just like Ferrari.

It is even worse in Audis case (in germany). VW is pumping millions into the "Bild" (sadly one of the most popular german newspapers). They setup tests in the "Auto Bild", so the VW/Audi wins.
F.E. last year they tested the Audi A6 Avant against the E Class station model and 5 series touring (The Mercedes had the Avantgarde/sport package). Then their main complaint against the Mercedes was its stiff suspension.
Or the anually "Auto Bild Tüv Report", which gives people a impression about the durabilty of cars. On older Merc cars they only mention how unreliable they are etc, while statistics show that they do better then their Audi/VW counterparts. (F.E. W210/W211 E classes)

You do realize that Ferrari does not allow journalists to publish any sort of tests about cars with "unknown pedigrees". If you work for Automobile and your neighbor/best-friend/mom bought a F12berlinetta, which you take the liberty to do a performance review with, you'll be banned from ever officially driving a Ferrari again. And they may put that onto the entire magazine. Guess who just got fired for making a major mag not be able to cover some particularly hot cars? Why would they care so much, if the car they're going to bring for you wasn't on special tire compounds, with a little extra engine tuning, and suspension setup tailored to the location you'll be testing at?

Sorry, tifosi.

They don't need to do it when they keep production so low, but it certainly doesn't hurt. You know that halo car that came out before the Enzo? The F50?

They didn't even let magazines touch it, and threatened to blacklist owners who lent their cars on top of that. And it's certainly rather suspicious that when they finally did get their hands on them anyway, the performance of the car wasn't particularly impressive over the F40 before it.

Ferrari don't sell cars by beating this or that time on this or that track.
Potential Ferrari customers don't care if the car is ,1 second slower "than a 5 times cheaper ZR1" or whatever.
If they wanted to, they would by 100 ZR1's (yes, an exaggeration).
But they don't.

Ferrari play in a totally different league when it comes to the brand. A potential Ferrari Enzo successor owner would rather be caught dead before finding himself in a Nissan or Chevrolet.
And he would rather be caught dead even more finding himself reading some arguments in here..

That's funny. I actually know a former Enzo owner, and he drives a Chevy daily. (Either that or a Ford, I cannot remember which. Just picture a super-duty sized American pick up, and that's what he's got)

Oh, and there's Jay Leno, who owns a Mclaren F1 as well as several Corvettes.
