Am I the only one who hopes that what the car DOES NOT end up looking like???

The shaded teasers a few pages back looked WAY better.

It's still in heavy camo, so there's a lot of details in the design we're most likely not seeing.

What McLaren said, and those teasers indeed show the actual final looks of the car (at least the front and rear).

More in general, is it so hard to grasp the concept of camouflage? It isn't like manufacturers only recently started using it, and especially when they've already released teasers looking completely different it isn't hard to arrive at this conclusion yourself.

Here's a camouflaged Enzo for example, does it look exactly like the final car?

The MC12 is basically an Enzo with a different body, but that picture is definitely an Enzo prototype.

Edit: Oh wait I realised he was taking about the Enzo (F50) one in this page .

From Ferrari's instagram page
Geneva Motor Show I am coming to take your hearts away. The Most Powerful HyperFerrari on its way to take your breath away, a hypercar which can eclipse any competition. Formula1 technology direct inhereted into this masterpiece, a car which can turn into a cornor as quick as a Formula1 car, a car packed with downforce as a real Formula1 car. #destroythecompetition #forzaferrari

Edit: It's fake cause Ferrari does't have a instagram page http://jalopnik.com/ferrari-f150-debut-announcement-on-official-ferrari-ins-127234489

No thanks, I'm in no mood for any shopping today.

Real car please.

Considering Ferrari hasn't made a good looking car since the late 80's. I do not have hope for this car, and that render doesn't help.

The 599 wasn't a patch on the car it replaced, and has a goofy looking front end. The 458's got a stellar profile, but there's still something off about it, to me, with the front. Specifically those annoying gaps just inset from the headlights.

Going by the drawings and what we can make out of the prototype, I find it interesting that Ferrari and McLaren both have taken a similar approach to the detailing on the sides of the cars. Probably to better balance both downforce and cooling requirements, but it can't be coincidence.

The 599 was ok. Didn't really wow me like the 550 or the 575 did. The F12 however, just has something about it I can't explain. Best I'll say is its striking in contrast to the 599.

I just can't get over and the how big of a leap the 458 is looks wise in comparison to the 360 and the 430. I look at it and ask the same question I did when they made the 430 Scuderia: Why didn't they make it look like that in the first place?
