Hi all, going to pull trigger on premium bundle with csl tuning kit.

All shoews in stock with fanatec. Can anyone give idea of when i can expect to receive it all. Express v standard delivery. Seems vague on their site. No idea if to expect a day or 2 after order, or weeks...

All set up last night, only thing I didn't try was the Boost Kit.

Honestly considering selling the Load Cell, I will make a thread about it in a minute.

Great pieces of kit - at the moment, struggling to notice that many differences between this, and my old Thrustmaster TX458 which felt really good. I haven't dialled in all of the settings properly yet, for all games, so it might be a while till I am really happy with it. rFactor 2 at the moment feels the best.

Mclaren Wheel feels incredible, and the uprated quick release is a godsend. GT rim is also great. I must have low standards because it feels really premium.

Surprisingly sturdy on my GT Omega stand. Thought it would topple over! I do need to sort out the vibration/noise as my girlfriend was saying it was a tad noisy and sounded like I was moving furniture... so some vibration deafening is needed for my setup.

Initial thoughts are whether it is worth more than double the price of my old TM TX458, with extras, which I am not sure on.

Mine shipped standard delivery and I got it 6 days after the UPS label was created.

I ordered the load cell separately and that's taken a bit longer as it got stuck for a while at the UPS depot in Germany.

Load cell on the way today, apparently. Still no email requesting tax payment... 🤔

Mine took 5 working days and I'm similar geographically to you. Don't rely on Fanatec updating your "my orders" page though, I was still at "warehouse processing" when I got the email from UPS for the import duty. Once you've paid that, you're less than 48hrs from receiving!

Standard..
There is a small handling fee charged by UPS for customs clearance but it was only £11 (total cost for everything was around £620 for the 5nm bundle)

I don’t want to mess about with the GT Pro wheel mapping but I’m unsure how to assign stuff to the GT wheel (for GT7)

Will be good to see the difference between standard/express as I am looking at purchasing a new item each month ( McLaren wheel, handbrake, V3 pedals, H-Shifter, clubsport wheel)..

I made my own rig about 10years ago out of the wooden bones of a 3-piece-suite and a X-rocker gaming chair, it was fine for the various Logitechs I've owned but it's showing its age and needed some reinforcing for the DD pro, so currently working on designing a profile rig as there is a company nearby that sells the extrusion stock and I'm hoping it'll be cheaper than buying a kit from the likes of GT Omega, SimLabs etc..

Cheers, nice work. Im certainly not capable or wanting to try doing anything handy like that!next level 2.0 stand looks decent. Think I'll go for that, unless others recommend otherwise...

It's a mockup, not button caps. Mapping is a personal preference. I put the real wheel there just for ideas.

Christ UPS are useless. All 3 of my packages were due to be delivered today despite having had no request for import taxes. I knew I’d be at work so at 7am I requested to send them to the UPS pickup point round the corner; I then got an update that said to ‘check back tomorrow for an updated delivery estimate’. Now it says delivery is scheduled to my home address tomorrow and it’s unclear if it’s going to the pick-up point. For a company who‘s sole job is delivering packages they are woefully inept at delivering packages.
Also still had zero communication from Fanatec. I get better comms from randoms on eBay. They are charging a premium price, some basic customer interaction wouldn’t go amiss.
Top to bottom crap service; maybe I just have high standards.

Agreed. They constantly split up the packages. I've received partial orders multiple times while other boxes that got separated are still just sitting.

Yeah that is so annoying but it's not FedEx's fault, it's Fanatec's fault for refusing to consolidate orders in a single box. Everything is shipped individually.

Parcelforce did that with my GT omega rig. Came in 3 boxes and they sent it out over 2 days. So frustrating when you have to plan around being home. I have to make sure I’m home as it’s a lottery what will happen if not. Royal Mail left my PS5 outside my front door. 😖.

In Purple on Power Button, (so was testing it, and went into an to Arcade race, click on settings and controller, then it shows the open button screen, and takes me to a CSL elite rather than a GT pro, does anybody know what I am doing wrong, as I wanted to test the four coloured buttons, and have done the Firmware update from fanatec ?

Also using a PS4 Pro

Exactly this. Still no news from Fanatec past the processing email or UPS on tax payment, was scheduled for today now rescheduled tomorrow. Luckily I'm pretty flexible WFH but it does make you wonder how these companies are as big as they are, especially when others get it so right by comparison. I've finally got my copy and a PS5 now, so I'm just waiting on the piece of the puzzle.

I don’t expect anyone to read this rambling exasperated post but will help me vent!

My multi week UPS saga drew to a conclusion today. My 3 packages were sent out in two vans for some reason. After the app told me all 3 were dropped off I went to the pick up point and they only had one package. The shopkeeper went into a rather long yet entertaining tirade about how useless UPS are and he gave me the direct number to the depot.

Well it turns out the van with two packages dropped it off at a completely different shop when I asked why the lady said that the shop I requested it to drop off was in a postcode that van doesn’t do so why would he drop it off there? Seriously she said this as if it was my fault or something. The shop he actually dropped it off was about 30 seconds drive away from the original shop so I went there and he only had one package so I was still missing one. Another phone call and they insisted that both were dropped off and the shop had it. I had to explain that the shop is telling me they only have one and whether they do or not isn’t my problem and they need to sort it out. After a couple of hours they rang back and said it was in the shop and I could go and collect it. It’s unclear whether the package was there or whether the driver took it back. Anyway I’m loathe to ever order anything from Fanatec again as the whole experience is a shambles.
TLDR. UPS are hopeless, Fanatec take their customers for granted with zero communication.
On the plus side I haven’t paid any import tax 🤷🏼‍♂️

I'm still trying to find a setting, to feel curbs again in ACC.

I am still using the Fanatec official settings in GT7, haven't messed with them yet. Haven't tried ACC with the new patch yet. I do have a good WRC 10 setting, though, if you're interested.

Made two orders on Monday. Order #1 (GT DD Pro + Boost Kit) then said eff it and placed Order #2 shortly after (V3 Pedals, McClaren Rim, QR1, Performance Brake Kit, & Shifter) - Both orders changed to Order has been Processed as of the next morning. As of today, still no tracking for either package or any update. Another odd thing is, I'm in the States... My GT DD Pro says it's being shipped USPS, and my other order says FedEx Ground. Not sure what gives there. USPS is only for Canadian shipments from the US. - P.S. Also everything I ordered said it was "Ready to Ship". Confused about what the hold-up is.

Fitted the 8nm boost kit. Can’t say I can tell any difference 😂.

The load cell is definitely different! I think it will take me quite a while to get used to it but I can see how it will eventually be more intuitive and natural. You have to be very considered and measured with the linear brake pedal so it’s a huge adjustment. I did one race online and felt I was worrying about too much so perhaps an excuse to hit single player for practice

Hi guys, I have recently been using the DD pro, found it fun to use
wish there was a lot more adjustment with controls especially for GT but oh well

I have an issue now where, I am driving and all that comes up is the number 6 on the display on the wheel then after a minute or so the screen goes blank? Any ideas?
