I believe my sisters were on netflix, and youtube on there f:censored:ing Wii at the time of the race. I don't think they were the main problem, my parent's might have been on the internet at the same time, that probably could've start a huge internet issue.
EDIT: Post #200![]()
I knew it lol I was actually streaming video at the same time as well but it wasn't HD and I didn't get any lag that I know of. Even if you're download could handle it, your bandwidth may not be able to.
I may be mistaken, but I think if you port forward or DMZ your PS3, it'll be the top priority for the available bandwidth, so that may work even if they're streaming, instead this time they'll be the ones with the issues I think muuhuahuahahahhahahahaaahaaa (evil laugh)
when i am on on, i tell everyone to disable Wi-fi enabled devices PC's, Mobile Phones, Laptops and other PS3's. I make sure i get them a movie they like or something and i know its just me on the internet. I only do that if anyone is up that time anyways. PC's and Laptops have a tendency to want to do Windows Updates or AntiVirus updates at the same time i go racing.
Yea they sure do. Now just imagine if you were using your PC, not your PC for a sim race. The same PC that wants to do a stupid windows update while you're racing on it, and Norton antivirus doing backround scans at the same time, for example during an iracing 2.4 hour endurance race a few weeks ago. Which may cause huge FPS drop, latency, and input lag, leading to a spin out while fighting for a podium. Imagine how pissed I err I mean you would have been, but this is all hypothetical of course
