FITT Tuner Car Shootout

Thank you Sir for that pretty time and comment about my car :D.
I made that car to be loose to remove the under steer of the FF cars .
And I know it's drove like a FR cars but you can Handel that loos and easy to correct it I think :dopey:
Thank you again Iain .đź‘Ť

Yeah, I was quite surprised that it handles like it does. You've made it a car that I will probably drive more often now - I don't like FF's at all, but this one doesn't feel like an FF.

EDIT: I think my testing is now complete, someone tell me if there's been another oversight. Here's the link again https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=8445392#post8445392

A really great tune, it just felt really comfortable for me, I cannot fault it. Nothing negative about this except the time, it's just not as fast as the S2000's.

DC - 10

Cheers for that Iainoflo, I knew it was gonna be a bit slower than others, and would struggle to match the S2000's, as usually everything does!, but as I said earlier, wanted to enter something different to everyone else. Glad you weren't too troubled by understeer.

As usual the S2000 is the best. but my point also to enter something deferent to let everyone try to drive it and I made it . I notice that every shootout the S2000 is the best and no car can pit it. Especially if it is a FF car :dopey:.

Have sent you an FR, I didn't realise until this morning that you were using your GTP account.

Ding, ding, ding! I think we have a winner! This car was just the cats pyjamas - there was a reason why I loved it before the shootout, it's awesome. The only thing stopping this tune getting a 12 was the brake-release oversteer, but I found a way of dealing with that pretty quickly, I just used a bit of throttle when I was lifting off the brakes. The handling was spot-on otherwise, no understeer and not too much oversteer, the turn-in was really great. Overall the best one in the whole shootout.

DC - 10
Glad you enjoyed the car. It's one of my favorites, but my new tune already improved upon the old.

Understeer? Didn't notice it, I guess. Mustn't have been too noticeable like on some of the other cars I drove. I agree, the choice was so wide in this shootout and I wanted to choose something different as well. I ended up choosing a slower car for the 575PP, but a middle-pack car for the 490PP.

Great tune, though. Well done again. đź‘Ť

I love that car - I don't know why, it's good at any PP range, I think I used it at about 400PP for a DeadNutsEven race and it didn't have much of a tune on it, but it handled really well.

I was surprised at the lap time to be honest - it felt like a 1:10 when I was doing it, then when I crossed the line and it said 1:09 I was stunned, the car felt so natural I wasn't paying attention to the time.

I did try tuning the S2000 Street Version at the start of the shootout, but it was too difficult for my first tune, I couldn't get it to do what I wanted, so I stuck with the G37, which I really like, but I didn't realise it was so slow in comparison to all the BNR34's. đź‘Ť

Turn-in was sluggish, on-throttle understeer specifically on the exit of corners slowed me down a bit and the gears felt strange, but otherwise handling was good. It just didn't feel fast enough.

DC - 7.5
thanks for testing my cars but especially this audi tt messed up the setup but had already warned the bifa3 posted same problem next correct. thanks friend the enemy of perfection in a hurry and tried to put the setup as fast as possible not worked the sufeciente not repeat.đź‘Ť

I can't believe how close the times are on the 575PP Mines.

Well it's no surprise that mine is the "safe, boring, slow" one.... some day I'll enter a nutso tune that will make all testers cower in fear!!!....(hopes noone remembers the ralley/street shootout :dopey: )

Anyway great times testers and thanks for taking the time to drive mine, and all the other tunes. Great work!

Are you still going to test? Looking forward to all the other tester's times.

And yours wasn't slow and boring . . .

I am still planning on it, but work has got me going like crazy (14hr work days, 60hr work weeks, and an average weight of 31,000 lbs. To unload a day...:yuck: )... but yes, still planning on trying to test đź‘Ť

I know, but I need to make a more aggressive cars to move up the leader board I think :dopey:

Tuning a car to do exactly what a tester wants is underated in my opinion. I'd much rather have a quick car/tune that I don't have to struggle to get around a track, but I suppose it depends what you're after as a tuner, producing a car that'll do the fastest lap time, or a car that the testers will find easy to drive and get decent drivers choice scores. You weren't that far away for me, hence the DC score, and there wasn't really much difference between you and Hami. Given another 10 laps, I dare say you'd be equal.

I believe I made a 1:09 in my initial test laps (I took about 3) and my R1 made a 1:10 or 1:11. I was quite surprised.

I also began trying to tune that car, but holy oversteer, Batman! The car was perfectly fine until it coasted or corner exit, when it completely decided you needed to die as soon as possible. I'll give your G37 a try for fun, since I love that car.

Knew my RGT would be a lot more docile, I've nailed that tune before, I just updated it a bit to run on SH and for this new PP.

Honestly don't know what's wrong with the CTR2, I found it alright to drive...? If anything I like it as you do have to work a little to make it fast, but it's more fun that way. Certainly not perfect, though how much of it is down to me and how much of it is down to the car I don't know.

In the past we have tried to wrap up the testing for these competitions fairly quickly, but with the low activity now on GT5, I think we can take some time. Seeing a few comments from testers about being busy and I am busy too. My first Spec Miata race is May 25th and I am scrambling to get the car finished. So let's make an unofficial test drive date of May 23rd. These are fun cars so thinking that we should give the testers some time to do.

Also had a cool suggestion from one of the testers. He wants to do comparisons to the stock settings and our tunes. I thought that would be interesting. I have only run into one car where the stock settings were better than mine. So I gave that car away - the Viper.

This is what we did back in the GT4 days. I support this message.

Absolutely spot-on. Just perfect. Nothing bad to say about it at all. And the only one that I could get .02 with, but it was a red-lap sadly.

Nice and stable. Easy to carry speed through corners and easy to get power down on exit. Good car.

Thanks to the testers. I would like to be a tester myself for the 575PP at least but i've not so much time. I'll try anyway to do it , better if we have more time now.

I love my R34, it's not a specific time attack tune but like all my cars , a solid base to be adapted by each driver for any track.

Thanks again for your work.

Stable under braking. Good turn in with a hint of oversteer on exit. Good solid tune.

I knew a 1:10 was possible, just not in my hands. Thanks for that, biffa! đź‘Ť

Very enjoyable car to drive. Was expecting lots of understeer being an FF. Good to see you managed to dial most of it out. Good speed, good rotation, solid under braking. Good effort.

Wow that's a good lap time Sir đź‘Ť and its close very close to my lap time :D .
Thank you biffa for the rate and for the effort driving my car .
I'm not expecting that it will be good also in the hand of DS3 user and also automatic transmission !!!.
I use wheel G27 and manual transmission :dopey:.
Thank you again Sir . :D

Maybe I should not have banned the Amuse S2000 R1? Seems that the Opera S2000 and the Trial Celica both also have the aero advantage. Would have been a nice fight between these and the R1.

My Mugen seems to be a handful.

During pre testing, JohnnyP had and R1 on share, that I was easily doing 1:09's in, can't remember the exact time. I'll be running yours and Robrabbittman's tomorrow hopefully.

No internet at the apartment but i've copied all the tunes and i'll build them 1 by 1. Beginning tonight 575PP driving test.:):scared:đź‘Ť
