TUNER NOTES -
I like Cake :dopey:

Hello my friend krenkme , i like cake too, :dopey:

Just 2 things, what is the torque distribution ??? stock ?? 35% / 65% ??
Also for the top speed , you don't tell us the final drive needed to reach a top speed ???? What final top speed (up right) ?? with 2.900 the car is very slow, 245 kmh if i remember.

575PP Grand valley east reverse. 10 laps test (My car include). FINAL

DigitalBaka (PSN: DigitlaBaka) - Nismo Fairlady Z Z-tune (Z33) '03
1:02.920. Very well balanced tune in and mid corner, good brake balance and line throttle control mid corner. Oversteer problem out corner under accel due in part to LSD 16. Reducing to 10 help a lot. Nice gears , good tune overall.
DC=8,5

Dr_Slump (PSN: the_dr_slump) - Mine's BNR34 Skyline GT-R N1 base '06
1:02.676. This car have the greatest potencial of all the cars for time attack. It's very sharp under brake and a perfect control orienting the car in the good direction without sliding loosing speed can make you win some tenth. The problem is that it's too sharp for me in 10 laps and this is the only fast lap i could perform . I was 1/2 second in front of my ghost for 2 times but a drift slow me down because i've passed over the tires before finishing the laps. Perfect Alien tune but definitively not my style.
DC=9,0

iainoflo85 (PSN: iainoflo85) - High End Performance G37
1:03.222.Very smooth balanced tune ,seems like flying above the road, perfect springs, can cut straight over kerbs without messing the driving line and the car even like this don’t feel sloopy at all , well controlled by dampers and ARB. The car is just a bit slower than R34 , that’s all. Perfect for my style, very safe.
DC=9,5

krenkme (PSN: krenkme) - Mine's BNR34 Skyline GT-R N1 base '06
1:02.595. New test with krenkme full settings and it's still the same perfect tune.No understeer and very nice powerfull out corner, carving an inside line helped by the spot on LSD accel. Easy to go fast with this car, perfect driving line, a lot of traction, very responsive in low speed corners, the direction point where you want to, no understeer. Fit perfectly for my style.
DC: 10

Motor City Hamilton (PSN: MotorCtyHamilton) - Mine's BNR34 Skyline GT-R N1 base '06
1:02.687. This car is very fast but with some littles problems , the front train is floating when release the brake and mid corner throttle control, but easy to dominate after 2 or 3 laps. I think it's due to the big front and rear ARB difference.(2/6) together with the rear oriented brake balance (4/9) and the fact that front wheels are pushing a few in this configuration torque 45% / 55%.
But like i've said ,this is easy to resolve with the right driving inputs. The other problem is a larger gap between 2d and 3rd gear, i was loosing space over Krenkme ghost out low speed corners and chicanes, during the retake after the tunel and after the last hairpin. This make the difference.I think that a closer 2d 3rd gears would have help the final time.
Nice tune overall.
DC=9.0

Onboy123 (PSN: Onboy123) - Nismo Skyline GT-R R-tune (R34) '99
1:02.948. Good tune ,very R34 with a light under steer out corner and also when release the brakes to reach the apex. Need a little correction to avoid this when you know it will do. Good car overall , perhaps need more torque to the rear to control better out corner. Also it’s possible that a lower front LSD allow a better turn at low speed.Didn’t test it…
DC=8

Praiano63 (PSN: prainao 63) - Mine's BNR34 Skyline GT-R N1 base '06
1:02.527. The way i like it, not a specific track tune, fit to any flat track.
DC=9,5

robrabbitman (PSN: bloodsugarrush) - Mine's BNR34 Skyline GT-R N1 base '06
1:02.985 Solid tune, stay on his line even when you don't treat well, very good brakes. Nice out corner, very safe car ,perhaps to much. Need a few more pivot. The gears are too long , 205mph gives 330kmh and 300 is enough end of straight. Shorter gears will perform better out low speed corners.
DC=8,5

trackripper123 (PSN: Ziz528) - RUF CTR2 '96
1:03.387 PD give a poor grip to this car in GT5, I have a better souvenir of it in GT4, much better car…. Tracktripper make the best you can have with it with sport tires. No late braking, smooth driving and long powerfull slide are the best way to go fast ( not drift only slides). The only thing I don’t like is the brake balance 9/4. The car is easy to upset in high speed strong brakings. I’ve tried a 3/2 BB and a higher rear LSD decell and it was better for me at least. The car stay more inline and don’t loose so much speed. Nice job.
DC= 8

VTiRoj (PSN: RoJJieE) - Blitz ER34 D1 Spec '04
1:03.629 .Perfect tune. Everything at his place, very good brakes, very easy to put on the ideal Racing line, but the car is too slow to compete with the Mine’s R34. The LSD accel at 20 is ok for G27 pedal but perhaps to high for a controler...
DC=9.0

xande1959 (PSN: xande1959) - HPA Motorsports FT565 twin turbo Audi TT
1:03.502 Very planted 4WD, perhaps too much , front is floating some time a few. Good accel out corner due to torque distribution 45/55 but this limit the car to carve a good line out corner showing some under Steer. Low top speed.
DC= 8,0

Thanks for testing my car!

I agree that it's not a car for everybody, but I simply like it this way. 1/2 seconds sounds great, very close to my own best time of 1:01.9 👍
May not win this shootout, but reviews like this is all I want. Well done!

:)

The first double left is the key with this car. If you can perform the perfect slide on the perfect line, you're in position to accelerate very early , staying in a good position for the right left to the tunel. But it's very hard to do.:ouch::ouch: need a lot of concentration.

It truly is, I made tons of mistakes there! :dopey:

Sorry :dunce::dunce::dunce:

I usuallydon't tune AWD cars with downforce :dunce::banghead::banghead:

torque distribution is 30/70. Indicated top speed is 188mph. And down force is 15/24 front/rear.

Sorry again :nervous:

No problem , i'll test it again tonight with Hami car to finish the session.👍 A piece of cake.:)

Appears you found the way to drive it like I did, small slides around corners make it go pretty fast. :lol: The brake balance was a touchy issue for me too, and I'll be honest, I forgot that LSD decel could make it more stable under braking... :ouch: Cheers for testing. :)

:grumpy:After 21 days my internet and landline returned was distressed but at the same time disgusted with inetrnet and ofericido here in Brazil is paid by Hare and we take cat want to see at the World Cup as they resolve these problems sorry folks who tested my cars got lost.

Tested a good chunk of the 490s and so far Biffa is leading the pack with Iain hot on his tail. Some awesome, awesome cars. Thanks to Hami for getting this group of cars together. One of the best events yet with some very close times.

I'll try to get feedback and times posted up tonight after I run the remainder of the 490 class. For fairness I'll be running my own again and taking the best of those ten laps.

Guess I should start testing. Been working on the Spec Miata. Dropped her at the paint shop today and pick up on Friday. New graphics next week. New Hoosier racing tires showing up next week. On track at Michigan International Speedway next week Friday.

What are you doing at MIS? Is it a race or are you just testing or something? I'll have to stop by for a meet 'n greet and maybe get an autograph. :lol::lol: Seriously tho, if its a race, I'll stop by and check it out.

The winner of this shootout should get a chance for a ride in MCH's MX5 over the summer holidays or whatever the adult equivalent is. :lol:

Racing. This will be the first event for SCCA at MIS. Check the link for spectators. I you are serious about coming out, I can add you to my crew sheet, show your id and you get in for $10 for the weekend.

Not just a ride. Heck, strap in and take it for a drive. :)

Thanks Hami. I don't want to commit to anything but if I can get a ride out there, I'll certainly check it out. Irish Hills is like my old stomping grounds and I even used to work at the track back in the day. Last time I worked there was about 6 years ago for the August NASCAR race. I got a friend that lives on M-50 & Daughtery Rd. which is right behind turns 3 and 4, about a 10 min. walk to the track. I'll see if I can get hooked up with him and make my way to the track from there. Thanks for the offer tho. Will certainly look for you there if I can make it.

Wow, didn't expect that! Suspect it'll change when you get to the RUF's and robrabbitman's opera.

It may, but 4WD traditionally does well with me behind the wheel. I had one tuned but I don't think it would have performed as well.

Totally blew this off last night and played with the new seasonals instead now that they aren't providing the cars. Realized my 458 from a couple shootouts ago sucks @$$ on hard tires. :indiff:

:( awe. But my trucks not amphibious :(

Anyway, anyone have any updates on how testing is going? The wait for feedback is killing me. :lol:

:lol:👍

My work/life schedule is all over the place, but I will make every effort to test at least one class before the deadline. So many good cars, and great tuners, it would be awful not to drive them. :dopey:

Sorry guys. I haven't been on top of this one. Consumed with getting the Spec Miata on the track this Friday.

Who's tested so far, just Biffa and iainoflo85? Let me know if I missed any test results. I will build the sheet this week. I still want to test drive. Won't be able to finish both classes this week. Would like to wrap this one up with more test drivers, so if we all need more time, o.k. These cars are too much fun to just call a quick close to this competition.

I've gotten done with the 575 PP class,and testing for the smaller cars is well under way.Getting everything done and posted by next weekend would be pretty cool,if thats not making everyone wait too long.And you're right Hami,these cars are awesome!
