Formula STOCK GT5 F1 World Championship Season1/Win big prizes!!

Well Cape Ring will be a real test of endurance. I think were looking at 75 mins...Long race, plenty of time to pass. 4 stops may be slightly quicker than 5, but 6 stops is not much slower than 5 either so interesting strategy. A flawless 6 stop can hang with a 4 or 5 stop imo...

Guys I got so angry tonight playing Road Rash Jailbreak (year 2000) I spiked my DS3 down like you would spike a football. It actually survived though and still works, but I may need to get a new power cable. Those old games have rubber banding to the max, along with every imaginable con & misleading trick in the book.

Hey
Don't wait for me tonight if I am not in the lobby around race start
haven't closed an eye since friday so if I'm not there I have probably fall asleep...

When I shift to 2-7 the wheel sometimes more.
I mean I shift in Gear 4 and the wheel shift from alone in Gear 5 or 6 it happend very often. Its possible to fix or I must send it back to Logitech?

Are you saying that when you shift from 3rd to 4th gear it could go to 5th, or 6th gear.

Those metal shifters could have taken some wear and tear from all your hard shifting immortal, you probably use them more than anybody. I use Auto most of the time (like 90%+) :sly:. Most i racers I see on youtube use the clutch and stick shift with only the F1 and Le Mans racers using the paddles. Today I'm using manual and I know my neck will be sore after just 20 mins of that due to the dining room table/"mustard" driving position. :sly:

That aside I tried using my controller on the F10 at Cape ring just for kicks and giggles the other day. Its not nearly as bad as it was back in the day it seems, I felt my laps were somewhat normal after just 3 laps of running.

Guys, I have to go to work at 430 EDT (2030 UTC), the race usually doesn't even start before then so I won't be able to join you today. Sucks. Have fun guys

Yes big its like you say.

I think this is often problem with Logitech wheels. I had a similar problem with my DFGT (Gian has the same problem too when he post it a few pages back) that when I shift up, it will shift 2, or 3 gears up, or it will not respond on the first press. I stop using my shift buttons for a while, and started using the gear stick on the DFGT for a while before my shifters started to work again. Even though the G27 is related to the DFGT, i'm not sure the they work the same way.

You might be able to team up with me, mine doesn't race here much.

Hard race today, the hardest race for most people is over, its all easy from hear on out. :sly: Immortal did you 4 stop it? I couldn't believe how you pulled away from me with 1 lap older tires on that last run. Good gawd, I used to stick with you or ahead of you on Cape Ring.

Aug gave me pressure in the first laps but I was messing up on the first lap driving in the wrong gears out of panic he would pass me. Later when he quit or DC'd that was a weight off my neck.

When I got my gt5 (and it was just days from release :) I spent some time driving offline and then some friend invited me to join an online race . I didnt know what track we would race and, you know, it was the very same track as it was tonight lol . It was so strange and so unfamiliar with anything ...but.. I won it
It is so demandig not only for concentration, but also for stamina . Its hills , jumps , very fast turns and flat 180s are just crazy . By the end of tonights race my accel leg was aching , two weeks ago twisted right arm started to refuse do anything anymore , I was seeing some strange shadows and flashes everywhere around ,But... I like it.
I like the challenge, that this track provides .Ofcoarse it is not nurb or sarthe or spa but it is very cool slightly exagerated combination of common very fun turns and with X1 stock its 1.22..or so - very common time :)
I'm sorry for bad language and a bit exaggerated impressions .I just think, polyphony did a great job by creating this track.

Its tough to set your best at the end because the car gets simulated dirty and the hp is always 15hp+ down after 160 miles. I notice with FGTs there's only about 1.2 sec difference on most tracks (here it was bigger gap) between full fuel and empty fuel as well.

I'm surprised Sick didn't show up, well more pts for me. :sly: Yes Buraspo, the Red Bull is good for Cape Ring, long and fast, much like a Nascar race on a 1.5 mile oval using the Red Bull. I imagine the gap in a long race there would be smaller than conventional F1. Also tough for hackers in the X1.

That said who besides just Buraspo (he showed some interest in it multiple times), would be interested in an X2010 series (relatively informal with randoms racing). I can talk to Leyba08 about it this week and we might be able to start something up thats in the 1 hr per race range.

Not me. It's not that I don't like driving it, but everytime I drive it and get good at driving it, when I go back to driving normal cars, I'm terrible at it. It somehow ruins my ability to drive.

I dont consider the Red Bull to be easy as cake.

EDIT:

last night I tried race softs, race mediums, sports softs at Suzuka. Race softs went 10 laps before a pit was probably a good idea, the race mediums went about 11.5 laps I'd say before they were quite worn, the sports softs a whopping 13-14 laps but the big difference was the times on sports. My fastest race soft lap came on lap 3, my fastest sports soft lap came on lap 9! And the sports tires on average were 1/10th down on the race tires. Interesting if anybody wants to try some long races with them.

Sure, you Just need to find me 4 more drivers who have free schedules that are willing to race 500 miles on 1 caution flag. It'd be nice if Immortal did it, that'd be one more!

One season we raced at Spa, I did only one pit stop because I was using sports hard tires. They last super long

Trying to encourage leyba to do some longer X1 races. "Monaco" (the hacker) was in their room last night, abit controversial. Had to mute some mics to concentrate... :sly: The sports tires are perfect with the X1 though. I haven't tried them yet with the FGT. Buraspo we typically race late here in the evening, about 4 AM in Europe or 10 PM in the USA.

Special announcement today.... My guess is they'll have a GT6 prologue with GT6 released after the next ice age. :sly: I'd like to see the RB8 or RB9 in GT6 rather than the Ferrari.

Immortal, probably should update those beautiful pts I earned on Sunday.

hi lads back now. went on a camping trip for the night Saturday and stayed sunday night aswell. gutted I was, I wasn't driving so I couldn't come home for the race.:grumpy:

Guys I have a idea.
The guys here drive a very nice WC not much races not every week.
Very good drivers there.
Lets make our races on the dates when he drive one Week later.
We need a GTP account to drive there.
But is this ok for you guys.
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=273980

This would mean 26.5 one week later.
7.6 one week later
The other races are then when Season1 is over is this ok for you Guys?
