Formula STOCK GT5 F1 World Championship Season1/Win big prizes!!

If its the slim model you can remove a disc manually you don't need a power supply so ylod dosen't matter.:)
Turn the PS3 upside down lift up the small plastic panel at the front it will pop off so remove it. (its where the retaining screw for the hard drive is) Grab a small Phillips screwdriver and insert it into the hole as far as it will go then twist anti clockwise this will remove the disc manually.👍

Will this void my warranty thou as I've gotta send it to Sony am I better just leaving the game in?

No mate gt5 is stuck in ps3 and no idea how to get it out and old ps3 disc won't read

It should be removed by taking apart the PS3. I'd bring it in. Otherwise, GT5 is down to like $29.99 or $19.99 by now... :sly:

I remember when my 2007 fat died from too much dust. I wish I would have known about the DVD/PS3 disc cleaner that I use now every month or so.

So far I've gotten 2 years of use out of my 2010 slim, but with 24 hour non stop B-spec races, and several 4hr and 8hr races along with online sessions lasting 4 hours or more in 2011/2012 (not this year, lol.)

No you wont be breaking anything the only thing you need remove is the small plastic cover with the hard drive screw under it. Its perfectly safe and wont harm your warranty whatsoever, simply clip the cover back on once your done nobody would be any the wiser.:) Sony purposely built this option into the PS3 slim its basically a manual override in case of a total power loss.

It's the slim m8 I got it to replace my fat ps3 just before the super slim came out

So did you brought it new, or it was pre-owned/used of have you left it on for long period of time.

It was new ps3 / not had it on for any long period and it was perfectly clean and clear from dust as I use disc cleaner too and once a week always check vents are clear from dust.going out and buying a new one today anyway at the expense of not getting my new turbo for my track car :( so be back in the game tonight

Thanks for advice V8 I've managed to get gt5

Well immortal, I'm going to log on later today and give GT6 a whirl. Hoping they include the Delta wing somewhere in one of the time trials or cars.

Then I'll have to practice a bit this week for Fuji (even though I'm lazy as heck, lol).

Good to see two of you up there in the GT Academy 2013 Time Trial, hope you give us a One Two Finish; hope you get a race seat from this Immortal! :D

Oh and I would also just prefer a Formula GT championship, if you want to spice things up you can run a different format, something like:

2 races per track per weekend:

First Race: Sprint

Single lap qualifier (i.e. 5 minutes), Points for qualifying, reverse grid order, 10 laps

Second Race: Endurance

10 minutes qualifier, 1 hour worth of laps

Or something I personally prefer:

2 or 3 tracks per weekend using the sprint racing format, it gives everyone the chance to win and be even more of a challenge for lead drivers to negotiate traffic, and hone their skills to drive cleanly and give the slower or less consistent drivers (i.e. me lol) a chance to really pick up some serious points!

Sorry Guys cant drive practice race today need the full power on the GT Academy
Rich or buraspo open a practice lobby pls I open for this sunday earlier the practice lobby

On my way. Thanks buraspo :)
Also, great times from you guys on GTA. I must be doing something wrong because I can't get within even 5 seconds of the leaders :/
Looking good for you Immortal, looks like you've booked yourself a place in the Regionals 👍

A really interesting race we had tonight. Good win , Aboe.
Surprisingly for myself , I discovered ,that "Radicals" engineers prepared rather competitive car for me and I had some great moments with S1, Rich and IRT , and even Aboe seemed not unreachable until , I started to look behind more than ahead, that is a really crucial point for me in most races .
I hope for a really good race this Sunday , no matter what the result will be . Join guys , lets make a race to remember :)

Sorry didn't join last night guys was up grading the hard drive on new ps3 as was only a 12gb one to a 500gb took forever to format and then install gt5 and all its updates then had to transfer all saved data but the good news is I'm ready for Sunday after getting the yellow light of death last Saturday .

guess whos back for the final race :-) new wheel n´all

YAY TEAM!!! Just for you I've not been scoring high points, so that we can have a proper battle to end the season, and that has left the door open for Aboe to steal sixth position in the world championship... exciting race due!

I would like a nice long break from GT5 after this season is up, but of course I'm doing the last race to try and beat Buraspo.

For next season immortal, I'll probably be reserve.

Hey

I wont be driving sunday. I spend most of my time on GT Academy. It looks good for me at the moment, but I have 2 months to finish my driving license if I make it to the real racing cars.

Good race sunday and thank you all for a good season and hopefully more in the future

Well that's a season... I have to say these races took my attention span to a whole new level each Sunday. :sly: When I practice I never seem to manage more than 12 laps at a time, but something takes over me on the big day and 95 laps is possible.

I must say, sick assassin pushed me at times which surprised me, and CB was faster than I expected, especially at Grand Valley. I thought I had a shot at beating him, and Suzuka it was possible but in no other races could I have beat him head to head.

Immortal's laps were always crazy fast. Somehow he finds another 2 seconds after you think your going pretty fast. He also has a way of continuing to go and go on worn tires, the best all round GT5 player (combining long races, consistency, and sheer lap time) I saw in all 3 years of playing the game, and maybe of all time. At times I entertained the idea that immortal was hacking his car somehow (kept it to myself) but not I can accept that he really can squeeze that much out. When I think of that first race with immortal at Cape Ring and compare that to now, I regret that I haven't raced more and tried to improve a bit, but the game stopped appealing to me after 3 long years.

Good luck to you guys, see you in future races.

Wow what a epic race for me fell to last on first lap ( sorry Hugo for bump was fully locked up)
Then settled in and got in the groove and caught up with some help of a few spins from tex team and arty then the 36 lap battle with arty began which I have to say was so close till last pit stops then I some how managed to hunt down buraspo and pass him with 4 laps to go even if he did make it easy for me by having a half spin. Giving team monster energy a 4th and 5th
Enjoyed this championship so much see you guys in the next one

I forgot to mention, perhaps my biggest surprise this season was when Buraspo topped my practice time today. I did a 1:14.3 or something and he bettered it after being way down the whole time, that definitely gave me a scare. Too bad for BP about his race start, I must admit I was relieved to blast ahead of S1ck at the start and into immortal's draft. :sly:

Thanks for a awesome season guys it was very good to drive with you guys.
Always good racing for with you guys.
Congratulation to Rich Buraspo and S1 very good driving guys.
After the Academy we start with Season2 with all F1 Cars.

1.14.25x it was :) , I thought something like in Madrid was possible for me but I crashed on my 2nd fast lap in qualy and had a terrible start in race while accelerating good but on the first corner loosing everything .

Well its been fun, I wonder if Red Bull will contribute more F1 style cars to GT6 and then we can continue on our championship with something new & interesting, Newey always has fun ideas.

I will say though, I'm very surprised they were only fined $32,000 for letting that tire come off and just pancake that cameraman. Might as well fine that crowd 30 cents, to them its change for the parking Velet.

ye I had a good time this season racing with you guys so cheers for that, ill see you around im sure. take it easy.
