Formula STOCK GT5 F1 World Championship Season1/Win big prizes!!

thanks m8 :-) we havent come up with a team name yet, but im sure one will come to minde soon! im useing the log g27 stock pedals. nice to here your following the iracing wordl champ. got a m8 running this season :-)

Cape Ring is going to be hard with STOCK, the only upside is everybody will be very very loose through the ring, whereas with setups some cars will handle excellent, others who cant/dont know how to tune for stability would be out of control. :sly:

Yes the iracing looks pretty cool, they dont run more than a couple real word F1 tracks though. Based on the limited articles I've see, Gregor Huttu has about the same dominance as Immortal does here. I just wonder why he doesn't come out of his shell and drive the Star Mazda series, wasn't he given a paid trip to come drive that car?

Well one of the biggest reasons Greger doesn't have the same dominance, is iracing has legit mechanical damage in it. If another car bumps him, it could cost him the race because if anything gets damaged, you have to pit just like in real life. I like it that way, people drive even more cleanly than we do.

We drive ok but if we had the same damage iracing has, trust me, all of us would drive very differently in traffic than we do right now. Instant punishment has a much larger effect on human behavior in a race, that's one thing I've realized. Even people who are clean drivers take much bigger chances when they don't have to worry about pitting to repair damage. I myself was guilty of it at first, and still am guilty of it from time to time. Most people can't help it

In respect to the Suzuka race, in the event of first lap incidents involving three or more cars in one incident, is there a possibility of safety car, Where the lead car holds up the pack until everyone is back in formation, called by the race director?
---

As for team name for Teamdbw and Arty907, how does 'Artemis Racing Team' sound? Named after the Greek Goddess of the Hunt, amongst other things! Also, I think we're in Yellow Formula GT cars...

We never have safety car mate.
When we have big incidents on Lap1 we make restart that was always the best thing.

How you like name: Team Redline thats a very big teamname would be are good when you take this mate.

awesome logo s1.

Immortal, I still have that replay from just before X-Mas 2011 of the Cape ring race in Berty's series. That was always fun. It would be fun to get some of the old FGTC back together. Although I dont think Pigboy/ Smart Heart could deal with the car without atleast active steering/TCS.

Haha no big I dont think it.

Awesome arty very good work.

Yes was very good race Rich, yes this guys are Help drivers he always drive with helps.

Haha no big I dont think it.

Well since Rich just gave us that link about Team Bianchi, and I see no cyclists under the name of "Lance Armstrong", I now consider our Team Bianchi doping free.

Wow cape ring this week? You know with the F10 I would've complained, but I think it may be ok with this car, just like that hairpin at monaco, tough in the F10, not so bad in the FGT.

Even still I think most of us are still getting to grips with this beast.

I'm going to try to design a team banner myself for Team Beastblood

Yes Hugo FGT in Cape Ring is much better than F10 in Cape Ring.
Ok mate would be are good when you can make a good Team Beastblood design

There's a slight possibility I might not be doing this race, I may be flying out of town on that trip I was talking about (but not to Vegas, Puerto Rico). I'd be taking the place of a sick family member. :sly: But probably not.

Talking about lap times, what is a good qualifying lap around Cape Ring in the FGT? My fastest is 1:52.5 right now...

Thanks cb yes I have hope the whole time that you make top10 but the Active Steering drivers have destroy it very sad.

Today we drive practice race guys I dont think 35 laps but 18 laps.
I dont know now arty we see it today what is good.

Interesting having Laguna Seca in there. If our gears on stock had just 230 mph top speed instead of 224 I'd say circuit de sarthe would be a fine track to do but as it is just to awkward riding the rev limiter the entire time down the straights there. I could have SWORN that stock gears on the FGT used to be 236. They might have changed it after the update giving more drag to all cars lowering their top speeds slightly.

Yes Rich but its to much straight there when fights are over its a bit boring there. Laguna Seca is for FGT better than for F10

Well that was hard for me. Sorry for sliding in front of the pack on lap 2 causing a mass pileup Tour style, I was looking set for a good finish time with no mistakes too. I definitely need some practice before race day...

I blame it on the Danish beer that TeamDBW and CB generously provided lol

The replay was eye-opening; I am used to driving the HSV-010 around the track and it is a very different style of driving and line; my fastest lap was in the 1:52's but Immortal was 5 seconds faster (and more, consistently) and all of you drive different lines to me, so I have alot of improving to do.

Any tips on brake balance? I ran with a [front 2 rear 1] but it seems many of you have a different approach.

Guys always 5/5 brake I have try all thats really the best brake balance.
With lower brake the car brake very bad and higher the tyres are blocking.

From this day forward, immortalpilot my aim is to beat your time trial time with the Nissan cause you seem to break every record
