Gran Turismo 6 coming to PS3

I strongly disagree my friend. Although many cars don't thrill you when pushing their limit, many cars including RX7 FD thrill me when playing with steering wheel. Especially in tracks with bumps like Trial Mountain. But surely not in 8/10 of the limit. You need to put the tires on fire in order to "feel" the car (through the steering wheel's FFB) on the edge. I must admit though, that in GTR2 and Shift2 I feel the speed more but the limits and the loss of grip in GT5 is much better. To close the subject from my side, I think that in GT5, driving without aids (except ABS=1), on slippy tires (depending the power of the car) and in high speed turns, gives nice feeling of speed and traction limit.

I think everybody has a different idea about how a car should work and feel. We also have different driving styles. I dont think that he wants to say that GT5 is bad at representing the driving experience, but more that there is much room for improvement. Turn 10 openly admitted that they are not near complete correct simulation, but they are heading towards it. The same goes for GT.

For me the biggest problem with GT is the feel of disconnection between the car and the road. The tyres are the point where "the car meets the road". This statement is very true and you feel the difference with a good tyre modell immeadiatly.

Before I went out and tried to take first steps on race tracks myself, my vision of driving physics was suddenly shaken. The experience of the real thing makes you rethink your view about the driving physics in a game. It is really interesting to see how the engine, ryres, suspension, transmission, differential and everything else works together. You can talk down Forza for their oversteer physics, but when you learned how to countersteer over many years with the proper wheel and come in the situation in real life, you suddenly thank these games to become this real.

I personally think that the best simulation can only be created by people who know both the real driving world and the virtual world.

If interested, here is a lap of the Nordschleife from last sunday. Kind of slow, but okay: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-YlrI2slAc

Don't know if this has been posted, but yet another article stating GT6 is coming out on PS3 this year. (From an Australian news site)

http://smh.drive.com.au/motor-news/gran-turismo-details-leaked-20130501-2isx4.html

Unfortunately some of those nice piccies are Forza pictures :(

There is a reason why I personally wait always for official information. Those sites are not trustworthy and will release everything as long as it gets many clicks on their site. Wether it will come for PS3 or PS4, please wait for valid information from Sony / PD.

Either make all cars of lesser quality or make them all Premium, the double quality is what poeple hate, not the actual quality of the Standard cars.

No, it is the actual quality of the Standard cars that people hate, especially the lack of a feature like cockpit view.
The inconsistency of having different levels of car modelling is an issue because of that, the inconsistency in itself is only a minor (but annoying) issue compared.

Another Image from that leaked article about Nov 28th on PS3

real i dunno but the timeframe makes sense... just sucks its PS3

That was the first "art case", they've replaced it later with GT3 one.

Both are fake.

Before SCE releases its own official cover you will not see it anywhere.

No it doesn't suck you must understand that alot of people are not ready to jump ship to the PS4 yet.

So why us soon to be PS4 buyers have to wait to get GT7 for PS4 just because many people can't afford a PS4? Same thing happened when the PS3 came out, not many brought it right away but a lot did.

Because PD says so?

Its got nothing to do with how many people can afford one, its got to do with having the install base in place to make selling a GT title worthwhile, something that will certainly not be in place at launch and is unlikely to be achieved for around a year after launch.

Oh and plenty of people who are more than able to afford a console at launch still don't buy them, so please stop making wild generalisations about people.

Its whatever. I'm not saying I won't enjoy GT6 on PS3 but don't get your high hopes up for a big leap from GT5 to GT6 on PS3.

Don't really care if there isn't a big leap just because GT6 is on PS3, as long as there are:

More premium cars

More tracks

Better engine sounds

Better physics

Livery editor

Better customization

More upgrades

Improved course maker with point to point added

More A-Spec events and event creator

And for the GT Life menu to be return back like the previous GTs.

That's the GT6 I'm looking for on PS3.

And the ps3 can handle these options so a ps3 launch wouldnt be bad.

How do you start to build a bigger fan base? You start by
Putting a good looking game on a new console will make the PS4 sell like hotcakes.

Not really following that, but i hope GT6 comes to ps3. I had a ps2 only for playing GT4, a ps3 only to play GT5, and i don't want to buy a ps4 only for GT6. Aside from that, i think we can have a great new game for the current console. Keep the graphics, i want reality.

From memory not a single GT was released at the launch of a new console and they did alright without GT at the start.

With the install base for the ps3 they can make alot if money on GT6 then start fresh for GT7 on ps4.

Fine. I don't care no more, its just a game.
