Cheers mate, ties in with a youtube video someone posted a few pages back re suspension and lsd settings.

Do you ever run tcs on top, or just abs default?
I avoid TC because I think it cuts way too much power even on TC1. Although, I do use it in the rain. So I’ve tried to make all my tunes work without TC.

As for ABS, I use default most of the time because I’ve found it to be faster for me. ABS off is a no-go and ABS weak can be more interesting to drive but I’m personally not any faster with it so I just stick with default

Still the same problem to me is licenses and other challenges are too hard without aids. I am not sure if it's correct but could be. Track experience is very nice example. Some oval with old Corvette. Without aids almost impossible. With high TC on first try and I beat all my friends. Maybe it's how it should be because I always thought I am rather slow in simulators. It was never problem in any Forza but Forza is not a sim.

I think It was less correct in previous gt games, where you have to leave TC off even on High Power cars.

I had to use TC1 with the lambo for track experience at Barcelona bro.. I honestly respect it, also makes me feel GT is going in the right direction even if it a little too aggressive right now… some fine tuning and we will be there!

Yes, I have the same feeling. ACC could be the example. I play it without aids but I am probably very slow. Heavy rain is rather impossible there. And GT7 is very similar. If you have more powerful car you need to be careful. Maybe they didn't change anything in 1.11 but I really like it how it is.

Nah anyone who says GTS has better physics is on drugs, or copium for being bad in this game. Just played that Mercedes AMG nurburgring license with the twisty section and man, it's so much better it's not even comparable anymore. It feels so much more similar to AC - it's alive, independent from the track, with a much better feel for the weight of the car and it's inertia. Playing with the offset and wobble 2 cockpit view, the elevation changes are amazing. It's a shame there's some people having some trouble on the snap oversteer part of the physics, but I'm honestly playing with only ABS on weak for cars that have it and no assists for cars that lack ABS, and I have no trouble controlling the cars at all, and I can notice when the ting is starting to slip and lose control - easily corrected. GT has never played as alive as this, I REALLY hope they don't dumb it down like GTS

Ok before I make any statements I need to state my qualifications: played GT since GT1 but skipped 5&6 because I didn't have a PS3, been playing GT7 since day one with a standard PS4 DS4 controller, have NOT golded all licences / missions / CEs.
On the whole I believe that the physics of racing in GT7 exceeds what we had in GTSport. Because of this i believe that it has made me a better driver/ racer than i was in GTS, I'm no longer "pointing and squirting" racing, I am rolling thru the turns and gently applying throttle in place of mashing it full. The physics are good to me, the average driver/ racer.

I definitely agree for the most part but they definitely need to fine tune the oversteer issues. I've gotten gold on every event possible in the game aside from some of the new one hour races and the amount of oversteer is a bit too much. On gt7 the moment you go outside of the limits of the tyres it does not handle how it should. I can consistently catch it but it does not feel natural at all imo.

It's kind of crazy how little self-awareness there is in here.

It is literally impossible to spin out in GTS, it's probably the most unrealistic thing about the game and people in here are unironially wishing for that to return.

I guess complaining is easier than learning how to drive lmao
Personally I wouldn’t want GT Sports handling to come back. Since I started playing GT7 as painful as it is, GT Sport feels watered down. But enjoyable at times. GT7 just needs either better FFB or just better tire models.

I remember having loads of fun sliding certain cars around on GTS. One off the top of my head was the Ferrari 512BB, you could let the back end slide out a bit and catch it. GTS physics weren’t as dull as people are saying. But of course they were much much easier.

However on GT7 , it is very frustrating when your car spins out for seemingly no reason - i.e when you’re going round a long corner in a high gear and low revs and the rear tyres lose all grip and suddenly. In those moments I’ve definitely been frustrated enough to miss GT Sport’s handling because at least it was predictable and cars were almost always driveable.

Has to be said though, the other aspects to GT7s physics are mostly really promising. If they can sort out the snap oversteer and make slides more progressive and catchable when driving around the limit, then I think we’re on to a winner

What do you think now? Is it the same as before? I tried some other cars and still no problem with the physics. Important is I play on a gamepad and maybe they tuned it? When I start to lose traction it's very gradual and I can feel it. If it's accommodation it took so much time to learn. But it's normal in any game with a gamepad.

I am very happy with and it's probably the best GT to me. From physics perspective, as a game it's a disaster.

Posted this in the CE thread. It seemed relevant to here as well.

“I went back to Trial Mountain CE today. I did it soon after the game launched and got silver then using TC2. I managed to gold it today without TC. I found it quite rewarding driving the Mazda and putting into practice everything the game has taught me this last month. New skills like throttle control, coasting, and throttle to stabilise the car while being weary of weight transfer with elevation change are all required with this CE. I feel like I’ve come a long way getting to grips with the drastic change GT7 has been over GTS

@Firestone
Here it is: Stock GR86 with SH tires.
Must be a real torque monster that NA engine to pull a slide in 5th gear

This made my day 🤣 GT7 is a mess.

I have owned and driven several of the cars Ive tested in this game, and They feel nothing... Nothing! Like the real thing. They all wants to kill me for some reason at the first hint of wheelspin! Like the Z33 and corvette in the license test that cant handle any acceleration at any speed when cornering, I have never in my life feathered the throttle that lightly in any car ever... How on earth does its owners survive a trip to the mall? I mean all RWD cars handle like that meme of a mustang coming out from a cars and coffee, yet somehow my 700hp GT500 with a solid rear axle has better on limit handling and is easier to drive than a GT86 with 500 less hp! The yanks must really know how to build them!

Driving a car, Even a high hp rwd car around a track is not difficult. Doing lap records is, dont get me wrong! But Sliding ("drifting") a car, or Just correcting a small oversteer in a a car like the Z33 out of a corner without snap oversteer or spinning out of control is not difficult! The Z33 in the license test can barely handle 10% throttle, thats like 50hp! Your GT86 Will drift in 5th gear with 200nm of torque, how on earth is that possible.. In comparison to real life, where my gt500 (not exactly best known for its handling characteristics) can put down over 800nm of torque coming out of a corner with minimal drama!

To me this game is dead, ill check back in a year but I have No trust that They will fix this.

Im using a thrustmaster GT wheel btw.

Snap oversteer on slow corner Is exaggerrated but i could close an eye...Is the sudden one on High speed corners, Just cause you used 10% more throttle than what the game want, that Is literally nosense.

I was using a 200 hp Levin, sport soft tires and some setups,at Interlagos, and It snapped on a full 3rd Gear corner..I hope kaz will fix this soon or later. I like the physics, but this Is annoying

Could someone here please be so kind and write down a short list of Cars which they feel are broken?!
I spent a lot of time over the past few Weeks and have driven Various Types of Cars around multiple Tracks, and i have to admit I haven’t come across any specific Car I’d say it’s broken.
Everyone here who claims a Car is broken is happily invited to share it and write down what Car it is.
I‘ll then try them out and will verify by myself if it’s true or not.

My honest opinion after roughly 20K Km driven, this Game is outstanding 🤩
I have nothing to complain about in regard of the driving Physics.
To me it’s simply the best and most authentic Replication of driving a Car and especially the Car Dynamics 🙌
I‘ve never before experienced such an incredible Detail of Driving Dynamics and Authenticity.
What I must say though that specifically the GR3 Ferrari, Lambo and Audi are not a pleasure to drive, at least at its Limit.
But besides these few Exceptions, I must say I don’t get what many are complaining about here.
Sudden Snap Oversteer, a Myth 😎
Just Kidding 😅
Yeah there were veeeery few occasions where i Must admit I got caught by Surprise and wasn’t able to react quick enough.
Not that it wouldn’t have been avoidable but I just didn’t noticed I was over the Limit.
BUT!!! 😎
SInce I’ve made some essential Tweaks to my FFB Settings, I can whole Heartedly say that it didn’t happen again.
I am now absolutely feeling at any time what the Car is telling me or doing, and therefore 100% in Control.
So to sum up my write up,
My Dudes please let me know what Cars are causing you trouble.
What is it that makes your Head Hurt.
I want to experience what many of you here are complaining about.
I‘m not trying to say you’re imagining things, just curious to experience it on my own.
I‘ll happily upload Videos of me driving these specific Cars to prove if it’s true or not 😁

To me the game is not dead it just need some fixing up, like RWD cars that do funny things that they should not do.

What especially do you mean by saying “Funny things they shouldn’t do“???🤔

Hey Johnnn, nice to hear you’re in the same Boat.
May I ask what Wheel you use?!
Don’t tell me you’re on Controller 😂
I wasn't but finally I can see it! Yes, I am on a gamepad and that was maybe the problem. I play for years on Xbox controller. DS is very different in fine details and I needed to find completely new technique for it. After all I can do with the cat whatever I want. I love some yaw inertia stuff. I am not sure why but I really can feel car limits.

Overall I love it! And I do mostly stock cars (no Nascar!) for now like in any other game.

Wow, you‘re on Pad respect.
I can’t comment on Pad Feeling as i haven’t tried it in depth, but your Statement proves to me that with the correct Understanding this Game can be fun no matter what input Method you choose.
I strictly refer to the Fanatec GT DD Pro.
This Wheel is the perfect Tool at least from my Experience to enjoy the Driving Dynamics.
I never!!! blame the Game.
It’s always my Fault if I mess up, not the Game.

Depends. The best games don't interfere too much with you. GTS was terrible on a gamepad. Game did so much stuff for you. This one looks completely opposite, it's probably the most sim controls I have seen in casual game. Physics looks perfect too and this combo is amazing.

I just tried some new Camaro on Trial Mountain champ and it was OK. Sometimes I lost my end but come on 600+ HP without TC on crazy track like TM? It's normal. There is a reason why many cars have TC and stabilization.

Some games are weird but this one looks OK now.

I have never experienced this type of violent oversteer in any game, and when I watch idiots plow into crowds on youtube I see exactly this. I don't feel any of our track day experience is comparable because, unless you have lost control and wrecked your car, we can't say how a car should act above the limit unless you drift frequently. I don't know the limits of my RX7, I have never spun it on the streets of willow. what I feel is off is that transition between the limit and of the limit, recovery is broken. Sometimes when you spin, no matter what you do, the car seems "locked" into the spin.
that being said people who say the car spins for no reason or with "any" throttle are either really bad drivers or have no throttle control. The snappiest car in the game only snaps when i apply more than 40% throttle

@br1x thanks a lot for reacting with a pile of Poo, but actually why 😂
What‘s it you obviously disagree with ?!
Maybe you‘re able to add more substance to my Statement than just a generic Emoticon 😉
Maybe don't call out people for their reactions
