So other then one time payouts.

Still the same grind fest snore fest broken econony greed simulator.

Nothing looks to pay out considerbly more then the 800k an hour many been doing.
Nominally, several events now seem to pay out by credits/time similar to some events in GT4, and it is necessary to make the in-game economy fun again according to many players here on the forum. I'd still love to change the main options in single player mode though. Hopefully it is added later this year..!

The lack of discernment here is amazing. The negativity is like a snow ball of good and then absolutely random arguments. If nothing came out today people would be like "where's the patch, it's already 7th", now they did it and upgraded the prizes and some are still complaining about stuff that wasn't even mentioned prior to the patch, like the events. They weren't supposed to come in the early april patch. Some people need to quit GT.

As it stands it's a fantastic game with amazing attention to detail. Has it's problems but they are working on it, pretty quickly even. Great patch 👍
PD's update wasn't what I expected, but at least it addressed most of the issues, and it arrived the day I expected it to (early April, Thursday).

On the other hand there are games out there which carelessly add upgrades to cars in an update and break entire classes. Developer's fix? Ban the car instead of fixing it. They can't accept they're who caused the issue in the first place, to them it's the players who are to blame for using the broken car.

PD isn't my favorite developer but at least they understand what a racing game is supposed to be, know the inner workings of their game, and address most issues when they happen.

The update's weak points are basically not having as many good points as I wanted, which means the game got better, and is way better than 1.06 could ever dream of being. Only viable event in 1.06 was Fisherman's, now you have at least 5 big money makers.

At this point, any complaint feels like entitlement.

It’s not about critique itself, because there definitely is much to, it’s about in which direction it went very quickly and how overblown much of this is. This makes it almost impossible to discuss the problems of the game in a reasonable way.
But actually it’s not surprising, this happens often when there’s a game/ movie/ whatever with this heritage and fanbase.
Yeah a lot of the hot heads poison the conversation and asks that are legitimate issues. It’s so annoying at times. Happens with damn near every fan base. That’s why at least when you have some of the people who they do collab with express issues then it’s more likely to be looked at, and some press who detail the issues.

My biggest gripe is how unwillingly they are to add a better payout for online and custom races.

How hard can it be for them to figure out that racing online or in a custom event should not pay like 10 - 20 times less than racing in a career event with a car I cant choose on a track I cant choose.

For christ sake just add the ability to earn a meaningfull amount of credits in online and custom races, that are on par with with the other races that are in the mission, or career mode.
I did 1 custom race for 5 laps to see what it's like, and there's a lot to like.It was fun with a grid start and tailored ai to a degree, but due to the meagre payout it's not something I shall be doing anytime soon. The piss poor payout spoils what could be an entertaining part of GT7,but for me there's no incentive to run them.
If you weren't into collecting cars or interested in credits for anything, custom races would be the way to go but not for me.

Its not about being a middle man or not? Hes the closest to them than any of us? Use your head a little?
Ironic you saying this since most of your takes on here have been very stupid. Jordan has nothing to gain by doing what you suggest, instead he'd likely sour a good relationship with PD. If you think Jordan airing our grievances to them would change anything, I have a bridge to sell to you.

Hmm, don't know because for that 47.000.000 credits you need to get gold on all the circuit experiences? If you look at the trophy stats you will see that only a small percentage has done all tracks, and even fewer will have won gold on all.
All bronze gives 10mn or so. I myself will probably never gold all of them (did on Sport but 7 is a lot harder) but at least the opportunity is there. It's on me whether I git gud.

I think people me included, were so hyped for the game, were led to believe it was the best GT to date and when it failed to deliver people were unhappy to say the least. As for the update were kaz nerfed the payouts, there was no reason to do it except to push MTX.His letter with the comment about not repeating the same race over was pure comedy.
This new update hopefully will be the start of a game we were promised and worthy of the 25th anniversary title.Just my take on it

The economy is effectively fixed now. Next they need to massively overhaul online. Lobbies are basically unusable at the moment, and BOP disparities due to terrible default setups should be their two priorities going forward.
Adding more single player events seems like it would be trivial. I can create a custom race in a minute, it’s just that with a thumbnail. They could add a hundred events in a day.

At what point are the people who are upset going to stop pretending like there's some set of circumstances that will ever satisfy them?

Some people are acting like there's a magic number of events or cars added, or specific payout amounts, that will turn everything around and make them happy.
If all the single player options from GT3/4/5 is added and grinding time&races is similar to GT4 then ok, or good, better than semi-decent. Not a magic number but quantitatively approximately 10%-40% difference in payout/time played.

are you a game developer? if not then you have no idea how they go about designing and developing these things so how can you say that something should be easy to implement.
Well you’ve got me, I’m not, but I don’t need to be because common sense tells me that if I am designing anything which I know from the start I will want to add anything too at a future date I would make my original design incorporate that as a feature to increase my efficiency and ease of work over the life time of my project.

Yes. Despite all of the different credits that appeared (5 gold bars on a 1 star?) I still only got 5k.

I have a feeling not all of those are even obtainable from a 1 star ticket.
Yesterday (so that’s before the update) i got a stack of gold bars worth 500k with a 3 star ticket.

I have to mention that this was the first time i won such a large amount of credits tho. Biggest roulette prize before that was 100k so i don’t know…
It looks like the update changed roulette rewards. A stack of 5 bars was never possible from a 1 star ticket, as far as I know. And yet it appeared for me for my first daily ticket since the update.

I'm assuming anything that appears in the animation is still a potential reward, from somewhere in the prize pool, even though the tickets are pre-determined.

your idea that content is as easy a click of a button it doesn’t ever work that way. There is extensive testing, scheduling and prioritizing content vs other issues within a game, balancing of the content etc all of that takes time and also said content wouldn’t be a one off thing and is usually added as a package of things. It’s not that simple even if just making the content is based on their toolset with the game, and PD has pumped out at least 6-7 updates to the game since launch addressing various issues.

It is with Gran Turismo, I haven't noticed that with other games I play but then again I don't play online and I mainly play story driven games, or games like Metroidvanias, and those would be absurd if they drip fed all the content. So most games I play are complete day 1, other than adding extras in DLC. But with GT we're not talking about extras, we're just talking about the rest of the game they promised.

I guess PD feels like they can get away with it, since they've been doing it since GT6. That's fine then, I'll buy GT7 when they're finished.

Wouldn't that still just reward them lol? The real issue here is how it takes them so long to make a Gran Turismo... Longer than any other game except maybe star citizen but even that's only been in active dev for 5 years. Dues ex mankind divided was in active dev for 5 years as well and it wasnt nearly as ambitious nor did they need to create new technology.

Anyways back to GT... how long was this in development and the campaign is just some dude (in text) having you fill out a menu at a coffee shop and cars average $40 in real money turned into game money via MTX. It's insane!

I upgraded to fanatec because of this game. I bought a new $900 cockpit just because my old one wouldn't be able to handle the pressure from Clubsport elite v3 pedals! I also bought a wheel that I'll use on PC and Xbox because the Polyphony designed GT7 wheel feels like cheap plastic... It feels like a Logitech wheel lol. They must have not known what fanatec was about and because sony is so strict with accessories I can't even use the better wheel I bought for the PC/Xbox on my ps5. Id have to spend even more money on a special set of buttons that would make the same wheel compatible with PS5.

All that and I haven't bothered even opening it yet because GT7 is like a slap in the face. I'm now more excited to play with the new rig in FH5 or an older game like Dirt Rally 2 than I am GT7... And we have Forza Motorsport 8 coming later this year plus Assetto Corsa CZ on the Xbox (& PC of course) the reasons to boot up GT7 keep getting lower and lower.

Hopefully this update actually fixes the money issue but I'm not a fan of the way you buy cars in this game. If I have the money I should be able to buy anything at any time. Not just what they want me to... And the only reason I can think they would do it this way is because most of the cars on the official car list aren't actually done yet... Which boggles the mind because once again it takes PD 6-9 years to make one of these games. If I'm right then GT7's development isn't even close to finished despite appearing so.

Also what's with the damage in this game? It's ps3 era... You also still bounce off things like you did in every GT before it.

The series needs more changes than better audio and visuals... Seriously

Shout out to PD for being friendly in terms of circuit experience credits 🤝 Earned like 25M yesterday (Thursday), and bought F1 GTR, CLK LM on its last times in legend store for now, as well as the gorgeous yet aggressive looking DB3S.

Looks like there is still like 19M or a bit less to get from track exp, if I were to gold them all. That credits amount (18-19M) waits for the new additions, like 250 GTO, or a reappearing 917K or something 🤔

Any news on the gift cars from new missions? Did not do them yet, was focusing on easy money from circuit experiences 😅

Very happy PD improved the economics. Can’t wait to play it when I come back from a holiday.

Can’t get over the fact there is so much anger on this forum on gt7. I would almost make a thread: Are you so dissappointed in Gt Planet’s forums that you’ll say goodbye?

Seriously, get over yourself….

(Sorry if this offends, but I can’t stand the blown out of proportion critiques and argumentation here…)
The reason for the anger is that Kaz & Poly promised "a return to the highlights of GT". What players [who paid $70] got was boring grinding and MTX thrown in their faces and half cooked lackluster single player mode, when bringing better game play entertainment takes a few hours of coding, especially considering the races/events in GTS.

I got some (voice cracks) OCEAN FROM PROPERTY IN ARIZONA,
FROM MY FRONT PORCH YOU CAN SEE THE SEA,

(HEAVY BREATHING) I GOT SOME OCEAN FRONT PROPERTY IN ARIZONA,
AND IF YOULL BY THAT, ILL THROW THE GOLDEN GATE IN FREE

You must understand Jordan's position first and foremost before making such a statement. I suggest getting to know Jordan before making assumptions.

I dont understand why people are so in to getting more and more money in the game. Never been an issue for me. Physics are bad. All my friends have tested it with my good tgt-ii set with shifter etc. Fwd car handle horrible on corners. Tyres doesnt seem to have grip... And whats with the snappines. You turn your wheel a littlebit and the car goes crazy. All fun have been sucked out of the enjoyment of driving and not staring hours of tuning every vehicle. Game is ****** because of the ruined physics. Make it fun to drive and enjoyable. Even to people who arent professional tuners in the game etc. Forza does it well. It has simulation steering and normal option. In normal it isnt snappy at all. You can drift in normal and have fun. In simulation it has more challenge. Shouldnt be so hard to do. Its good to have more cr to buy new cars yes, but it doesnt fIx the main issue. FUN!

And the rally is a joke... I dont understand why even added it to the game 💩

I had not heard about that issue. That is BS and sorry it happened. I agree that there is no official place to file a bug, complaint, suggestion, or issue. Even Rockstar dies that. There is a bug report here on gtplanet but who knows if that does any real good. I hope the update fixes your issue.
Sadly it hasn't resolved the problem. I reinstalled the game (2nd time I've done that) to try and resolve my issue, but I still can't play the game. From what I've been able to find in here and on Reddit, the issue is server side and something needs to be done to my player profile to fix the problem. There needs to be a way to report issues like this directly to the developers/server maintenance team... I might post that in the bug thread!

Holy hell the new payouts are massive haha. I have only completed a handful of circuit experiences, but went back into each last night to collect the increased rewards and made over 8m credits in the space of 5 minutes!

That paid for one CLK LM thankyou very much

Forza 4, one of my all time favorites, had cars in their list when you were buying that you could ONLY purchase with real money. Not technically MTX because they were DLC, but I really really wanted those. More FOMO than GT7 for sure
Tell us you don't know what FOMO is without telling us you don't know what FOMO is.

Paid DLC is always there from release til' end of life. Was never needed to complete the main game. Thinking that was more FOMO than GT7 which has 5+ million cr. cars available for 4-5 days every couple months that until just now, required vast amounts of hours of grinding or your trusty credit card is one of the worst takes I have seen.

At the same point apologists own up the game in its current state is just mundane always online crap.

Not magic, maybe start with not releasing a game with less content then the predecessor lol. MOST game developers get it, its why sequals get bigger not smaller.

PD be like:

What a turnaround.

The pay is good, the events are good, but I'm still in the camp that's pulling their hair out wondering why there's so few races in this game! Then, when they add 8x1h endurance races that sound theoretically excellent (Kei and classic endurances! for 1.2M!) they add them as one-time-paying missions! Ay ay ay, looking forward to running them but sadly not with more than one car, unless I fail. If the two prize cars are worth under a million each there'll be a lot of salt :D
I'm guessing one of them is the red pig.
