Well then I'm assuming the menu before the races show the single race reward, but I don't quite feel like going through the championships to check!

Lack of events was a large part of the outrage. How much time can it take one person to add one race event? 10 minutes? I'd have expected way more than three.

Not to mention we already know they have more events sitting on the server that Jimmy Fallon saw, they still don't want to grace us with them though.

It really is baffling how few events we had/have. Adding an event should consist of adding an entry to a database/file/new file with information about the race, along with a thumbnail. That's it. They could just have an algorithm that automatically figures out how much a race should pay based on car category, length and difficulty, then round it up to a nice-looking amount. It's really not rocket science.

I hear you, lack of events was my own biggest gripe since launch day. Still no sign of Group 1 races and 8 Endurance races hidden away in missions... why? lol

They must have an internal road map and are not willing to deviate from that it seems.

Also, custom race pay outs still being low is going to upset many many players.

Why

The 1.09 update gave me the same issue people were facing after the 1.08 update. I load the game and the majority of my progress is gone. The only options I have are Showcase, Used Cars, Garage (which has all of my previously obtained cars), Cafe and World Circuits (which has no selectable tracks available). I've reached out to @gt7_online_jp on twitter as previously suggested by others on this forum, and heard nothing back at all. I've also reached out to Sony support directly and they've claimed they're investigating the issue, though I doubt they will be able to do anything directly. There is literally no support available for the game that I'm aware of, it's the most pathetic experience I've ever had with any kind of game.

These ones don't even need a new thumbnail, they're just adding races to existing events. Adding them to the database is literally all that is required, and they only managed three entries.

It's pretty obvious they're going to drip feed it all on purpose over months. There is no way they only had time to add three races. That's 30 minutes work at the most. They limited it to three on purpose.

This is still the worst menu layout imaginable, and it only serves to hide how few races there really are.

There are only three new events. Three! The general shortage of World Circuits events is a big part of what makes the game feel grindy, and this is all they could come up with in a month? Laughable.

I think we're starting to see why there were so few races to start with. For whatever reason, they're simply incapable of creating a large number of events even when there would seem to be great incentive for them to do so.

I may be an ass for making assumptions but it is my understanding this update was their reaction to fan outrage. Many talk about the future updates and support the game will receive over its lifetime, I don't think this update was intended to be an early implementation of that.

This is more like their band aid solution. It's not ideal, but it's not a joke either, at least I don't think so.

It's not terribly promising for anyone waiting for significant amounts of new content though. Right now is the moment when the game could have most used an injection of fresh races, and it would have been understandable for Polyphony to devote a lot of resources to getting at least the International/Super licences filled out with races. What they've done is not nothing, but it's not exactly inspiring confidence either.

3 World Circuit events and some missions buys them at best a couple of weeks. They're gonna have to do another decent drop of content in their end of month patch to make this not just an empty gesture. The game needs a lot of content added to flesh out the scope expected of a true Gran Turismo game, and to match the cars/tracks that they already have in there with no real home. And just to provide enough variety for a healthy endgame.

Also, custom race pay outs still being low is going to upset many many players.

Boosting custom race payouts should have been the band aid. It's not ideal to have to spend your own time making races, but if you're at least getting awarded appropriately then it does give you the freedom to race what you want. At the moment you can earn a decent amount OR have fun, but not both.
