Grind Map: Endurance B-Spec Level 25-35 (updated 11/12/10)

I'm only level 27, but here's my answers based on my experiences.

1. He auto pits when the tires get warn out. You can change him to pit when his strength is 10% or more if you want, but I'd rather just have them go until the tires wear as I only have 1 high level guy, 1 medium, and 2 guys lower. They are all pretty high and close in level now though because of endurance races.

2. Drivers change automatically.

3. They auto pit and all 4 get exp. I made 2 new guys for one of the endurance races and they went from level 1 to 13 if I remember right. They are now 27, 21, 20,20 and I have spent every race but 4(on the 2nd driver) on the first driver. I'd only level up one guy as you play because it's so easy to level up the others on endurance races.

I've only done 3 endurance races so far. Doing the 4th currently and hopefully will stay awake long enough to have a 5th going over night. I've been waiting to get them high enough to get me levels.

What sucks is that you gain very few (~30k Cr) Cr for doing races that last at least an hour and a half. I'm assuming it's to keep people from running them all night, but that's just stupid. The car you win for the first endurance race sucked too if I remember right.

Yup Absolutely true ... Just give them a very nice car (any series C or Le Mans should be fine) and go watch a movie with ur wife GF or friends, sleep a lil, go to work, u name it ... If Gas or Tires wear out they Pit, if it starts raining they Pit, if the raining stops they pit, just make sure that ur Pit Box is set with Racing Soft Tires and ur ready

I just thought that adding the times i spent would help u guys to know when its time to get back and to ur console and Race again

My Ps3 has been running solid since GT5 launch day. I set an endurance race before bed and another one in the morning before work and then do A-spec from tea time to bed time - I think I am addicted LOL - A-Spec level 24, B-Spec level 33

I leave my electronics on most of the time and use a regulated battery backup to keep a constant voltage. It does not seem to matter if it has been on for 20 minutes or 20 days the temp is about the same.

With the cost of electricity consumption - would it not be cheaper to turn the ps3 off and replace / repair if and when required? The PS3 is a real gas-guzzler.

Laguna Seca is about 2 hours with the formula GT. I'm running Indy right now. After 10min the race is still a little close for my liking.

Formula GT cars have only one big Downside at enduros (Major one in my opinion) , they Run outta Gas way faster than Series C or Le Mans Car ... Prolly cause they run at 15.000 RPM lol

And going into the pit to refuel 96 Liters with ur tires at 50% takes way to long and seems a waste of time

Id advise not using them, since ull need to pit a lot more, specially on a track like Indy

so the formula gt car wouldn't be good for these endurance races cause of the gas, so what other cars would do well for this in b-spec mode? 908? minolta 88cv? audi r10?

There are quite lot of Overkill Cars u can use here ill name a few (have a list over here i can just copy paste ;))

Used Car Dealer:
Nissan R89C Race Car ‘89
Nissan R92CP Race Car ‘92
Mazda 787B Race car ‘91 (not sure)
Mercedes-Benz Sauber Mercedes C9 Race Car ‘89
Jaguar XJR-9 LM Race Car ‘88

Reward:
Toyota MINOLTA 88C-V Race Car ‘89

i wouldnt recommend Peugeot 905 Race Car ‘92 cause it seems to run at high RPM as well

Toyota Minolta would be the easiest one to get (Like the wind A-Sec Reward i think ?? )

not true, i'm running the FGT and my driver lvl 29 gets tired before the fuel runs out. my lvl 29 driver can do about 32-36 laps of indy before getting too tired, the FGT always has 1/4 of a tank left.

No point in using a Class C/LMP car since you'll pit anyway because the driver is tired and the FGT is faster down the straight and corners faster with Bspec bob in the car

g Soft Tires and ur ready

It has helped a ton. I really appreciate it, and I'm sure others do as well that are lurking. I looked at it when I woke up so I could see if I could sneak in an Enduro before I leave for class. Worked out perfect and have the 200 mile going right now.

This is awesome. Also a great way to gauge your EXP. I could have written this down myself at home, but this is more organized and useful to everyone.

Thanks again.

I've been using the Pagani Zonda R '09 for the Endurance races that I don't need a specific car. I don't pay attention to the PS3 and when I come back Bob and his crew have won by over 4 laps.

The formula GT finished Indy at 2:41 so basically the same as the Minolta. At Laguna Seca the formula GT is faster than the Minolta.

Edit: I'm running the formula GT again but this time I've changed the top speed on the transmission to 380. It appears to be faster.

Thanks for this, I will be looking to exploit this to get the X1 car - as I cant face the monotony of doing it myself in A-spec. This game is hard work sometimes.

Hmm for me it was diff.

Mainly cause i dont pit when my drivers are completely wasted, i leave that "Auto-Pit" tiredness thing turned off. Theyll run completely empty on physical and Mental sometimes, but that doesn't seem to affect much. (They Entered on a vicious loop once when all of them were below 10% and i kept going to the pits every single lap)

And with no pits when they are tired Gas was going low way before the tires, and also Refueling (does that word even exist ? Sorry for my english) takes way to long.

Basically Using the Formula I was going to the pits not to change tires but to refuel (96 Liters) and that takes forever

Well all info is necessary and usefull, Ty Stig :)

For thoses who are scared for their ps3 running all day, when you b spec, just go on lap board view with the tiny size window rendering. I compared both modes and my ps3 is exhausting way cooler air in the back with this mode (wich makes sense, rendering resolution should be about a quarter of full size, so the ps3 is running like at 25%)

Just a little tips ;

A little tip for those who leave thier ps3's on for more than 6 hours....just ensure your ps3 is not in an enclose area. Preferably in a big clean space, where the vents at the back have some breathing space. ( not that they actually breath, im saying that hot air in an enclosed area is always a no no to electrical devices) :)

Happy GT5-ing.

If anyone's interested, my formula GT time for Indy was 2:37 with the slight transmission modification. Not a ton of difference. No inputs to the drivers at all.

These are all B-Spec, dont know if A-Spec is the Same (Time prolly isnt lol)

For all races i let my Bob drive my Minolta, and i always leave the ps3 on and walked away so he was always cold doing slow lap times.

And also ONLY going into the pit when Tires or Gas were low, So i always had that "Auto-Pit" tiredness thing turned off.

Sometimes they were running at Zero Physical and Zero Mental. (Slaves !!!!!)

Thats how far i am, hope it helps

I've been grinding Suzuka for about 3 or 4 races now and its hell when you see the raining track. It takes forever although not quite 8 hours, i use the Formula GT car and my bspec's do the race in about 6.5 hours. I've done the sunny track 1 time and it took them about 5.5 hours.

I've also been leaving my ps3 on overnight but in a really cool climate room. So i'm not really worried about it overheating.

Just want to hit 35 to get that x1.

No problem GaothMaclachlan. Thanks for the original post. Very helpful. Just a couple of notes for Indy. The transmission on the FGT should be set for a faster speed than 380. I don't usually run spec B with the sound on so I didn't notice that I was still hitting the rev limiter when in the draft. The 2:37 time is very consistent if I lead off with my best driver. It drops to 2:38 if I lead off with my second best driver.

nice. thanks! 👍

Couldnt play at all yesterday (My wifes B-Day, i wish i had created a PSN account for her lol), But seems i just need 2 more runs at Tsukuba so i can finally get my X1 (since i fail miserably at Vettels challenge).

Also my G27 should be arriving at Wednesday, I just need to find a Good Cockpit stand here in Brazil now. Any Brazillians out there willing to share some info ?

Its a shame that at Lv. 35 theres no Enduro Races That rely on Laps or Distance to Finish, only Timed ones (Big ones).

But ill sure go back to Indy and see what that rocket on wheels can do.

After 13 Hours letting my Bob drive the first 24 Hours Endurance Race, Lights Blinked !!!!!

I couldnt believe my eyes.

Im really not concerned at all about leaving my PS3 on all day, but should I ?
