Grind Map: Endurance B-Spec Level 25-35 (updated 11/12/10)

Thanks for this guide, very useful indeed! What setup/tyres did you use for the indy 500 using the minolta toyota? I left mine on last night with lowish downforce and soft tyres and he only came in 6th, the refuelling was taking forever! I noticed everybody else was running medium tyres so I'm gonna try those and increase the downforce to about half and see how it goes... is that the way to go?

Decrease rear Down force so its just 10 units above default front Down force. Leave front at default.

Decrease 2 Kg/mm from the front spring. Front Default.

Decrease Rear Spring Compression by 2 Units. Front Default.

Set Transmission so Max Speed = 420Km/h.

Try to use Very Angry Bobs, I have 4 Lvs. 35 - 37 atm the are all Max Red

i'm using 787B with racing:softs. default suspension (except RHeight which is @ -20 F/R) and aero, tranny is @ 420kph. trick is to put auto pit to off and just let bob drain (which ever comes first) of all his mental/strenght/tires/fuel. my lv25 bob can win it with me completely AFK.

Thanks for the Information .

I got to Level 25 Last Night so straight away it was time to Grind the Plebs at Grand Valley .

I did think about using the Minolta but thought nope why should I run that Car into the ground so went for a Alternative Strategy .

Looking though my Garage at some of the Prize Cars I have Won I thought sod it lets run a Freebie that i'll never use into the Ground from the Standard Selection I selected the Audi Nuvolari Quattro '03 its got 580 BHP so a Oil Change was done . Next I bought a LSD set the Top Selection ( I ain't got a clue what its called ) to 50 as I remember reading this stops the car Wheelspinning too much when the Plebs get Tired .

After that it was a case of picking 4 Plebs and letting them get on with it

On my 3rd Race now to Grind up to the next Level and so far its all going rather well . 2 Races Won and just under a Minute lead in the 3rd Race over halfway through .

My Pit Strategy is also Different at the Moment I set it 10 so they come in before the Fuel is Gone and the Tyres are only usually just over half knackered . I think doing this means they allways have Fresher Tyres than the AI and Fuelling takes less time , just a Theory i'll see how it goes and Adjust it if I need to .

Bob an Bob an Bob an Bob did me Proud in the Audi 4 x Race Wins now at Level 26 and there now doing the Mazda 4 Hour thing

Took a look at my Prize Cars as this is a Mazda Only Race :grumpy:

Found a Mazda Roadster RS (NC) '07 with over 240 BHP

So i've Upgraded it a Bit too 268BHP stuck a Wing and a Skirt on it and now there Drivng round in what seems like Circles on that tiny little track

I wonder how many Times they'll have to grind this thing to get too the Next Level :grumpy:

Quick question about the Tsukuba 4 hour race.

I have been putting 4 drivers in the race, auto-pit off. My problem is that only 3 drivers are gaining experience?

When I do any other endurance race, same settings and everything, all of my drivers receive experience.

Is this happening to everyone else?

I managed to finish the b-spec Grand Valley 300 in 1h42 with a Formula GT.
Even in that time the rewards for this race is pretty poor.

Grand Valley 300
27,300 68590 1:42:18 FGT (267c/min : 672x/min)

Also for the next enduro it doesn't look much better.

Roadster
32,000 121577 4:00:00 Roadster (133c/min : 506x/min)

So unless I'm away from my console a long time, going back to Extreme races seems like the better option to grind. These are my timings for the Dreamcar Championships running a Formula GT

Dream Car
Indianapolis
22,700 14848 17:28 FGT (1299c/min : 849x/min)
Monza
22,700 16687 18:36 FGT (1227c/min : 902x/min)
Tokyo R246
22,700 16176 17:27 FGT (1300c/min : 927x/min)
Circuit De La Sarthe
22,700 15354 17:11 FGT (1321c/min : 896x/min)
Nordschleife
22,700 18331 22:46 FGT (997c/min : 805x/min)
Prize 206000c

I think the most effective method is to skip rain races and the final race. If you get a clear weather run and get the first place cash bonus is works out to this.

296,800 63065 1:10:42 FGT (4198c/min : 892x/min)

These are all B-Spec, dont know if A-Spec is the Same (Time prolly isnt lol)

For all races i let my Bob drive my Minolta, and i always leave the ps3 on and walked away so he was always cold doing slow lap times.

And also ONLY going into the pit when Tires or Gas were low, So i always had that "Auto-Pit" tiredness thing turned off.

Sometimes they were running at Zero Physical and Zero Mental. (Slaves !!!!!)

can you tell me what kind of tire restriction there are in this endurance???

Any way to run A Spec for a while then switch to your B-Spec guys? Actually It would be cool if you could be "one of the boys" on the team, taking a session every 4-5 sessions ( or when you feel like it...) But I guess that would be hoping for too much. :)

I've been grinding Suzuka for about 3 or 4 races now and its hell when you see the raining track. It takes forever although not quite 8 hours, i use the Formula GT car and my bspec's do the race in about 6.5 hours. I've done the sunny track 1 time and it took them about 5.5 hours.

I've also been leaving my ps3 on overnight but in a really cool climate room. So i'm not really worried about it overheating.

Just want to hit 35 to get that x1.

Just quit the race and enter it again until you get sunny.

So far the fastest way to grind and earn credits/xp in b-spec mode that I'm aware of is doing the entire dreamcar championship.

Total XP: 81394
Total Credits: 319500

Not sure how long it takes, i never timed it. If anyone knows a faster way in b-spec to earn xp/credits, then please post it up.

Enduros in B-Spec are clearly not meant to make/Grind for Credits ... But they are the fastest Xp you will get.

The grand Valley and the 4 Hours in a flipping MX5 Endurance Race are Both Tyre Restricted too Sports Softs - Correct thanx to Harley45

With the cost of electricity consumption - would it not be cheaper to turn the ps3 off and replace / repair if and when required? The PS3 is a real gas-guzzler.
No. Not even close. If I am not using the PS3 for a few hours I will generally turn it off but only when I do not plan to use it for quite a while otherwise better to leave it on.

From what I see the PS3 using about 100 watts while in a game. In my area that would translate to roughly 7 cents per 10 hours or about 17 cents for a full 24 hours. Of that time I would be playing part of the time no matter what so lets say it costs me an extra 10 cents a day to leave it on and let Bob run some races.

That would be $36.50 a year for time I was not playing asumming I never turned it off.

In B-Spec Enduros there are no Tire Restriction, I used Soft Racing Tires.

I'm only Level 26 at the moment in B-spec so i'm hoping the bigger events mean Better Tyres just to get the Grinding done a bit quicker

I am running The Dram Car Championship on My X1 atm, wrinting down times, rewards and Exp for all tracks, just so we can compare if its worth doing it over. Im at Monza now, the whole thing should be over in +- 1 Hour.

Ill post Results/Times here.

The XP-Payout in the first races is quite bad to be honest.
Right now I'm racing the Tokio-race in the Dream Car-Championship which takes roughly 18 minutes with the FGT and gets me 16176 XP.
That's almost 900XP per minute without issuing any commands at all and will let you win easily.

Would you care about updating the Dream Car-Ch'ship please?
Because I think it's pretty wrong comparing all races combined against one Enduro-race.
I would like to see these results for every race as it is a much better grinding-event than your numbers are hinting.

Still great work man!

I have all the inidividual results for that Championship in that thread at the top in the quote.

And really I do see it as fair because even though theres more races in the one Championship it takes less time to do than a single enduro race. Its all a matter of perspective If you have time to push buttons in between races or if you dont.

Damn nice work d0cSm1l3Y, Well i just Gotthe times if You use the X1 Race Car to do it, in average you drop 4-6 minutes per race !!!

here they are:

Indy 22 Laps: +-14 Minutes
Monza (Rainy): +-16 Minutes
Tokyo 12 Laps: +-14 Minutes
Sarthe 5 Laps: +-13 Minutes
Nurburg (Rainy): +-23 Minutes

I ran all of them; Started 17:12 ended 18:42 - 1:30 Hour Total

All Races (X1 Car): 319.500 Credits / 81.394 XP
Per Minute: 3.550 Cr. -- 904 XP

Skipping Nurburd (X1 Car): 296.800 Credits / 63.063 XP
Per Minute: 4429 Cr. / 941 XP

I am not sure if you can Skip monza as well as Nuburg, and still win. Ill try that now.

But at least one thing is proven in a 1:30 Hour playtime I had +- 10 minutes of loading screens, Or useless info Screens. Why isntead of telling the xp You and Bob get, as well as the Credits in 3 diff screens couldnt they make it in one Lol

Which race event or championship are you referring to for this one? An hour and a half to get 319k credits is pretty fast considering it's B-spec.
