GT Academy 8-5 near imposable

I had the very same problem when trying to gold 8-5. As people have said, thake a break when you get frustrated. When I got frustrated, I found that my times wern't improving. After taking a break, I was able to drive smoother and therefore improve my time.

Cars from past Academies have been tradable. But that's not a guarantee.

The two previous academy cars were already in the game. The only other car that was obtained from an event was the GT Academy Special GT-R and that's not tradable.

how are those top drivers able to push throttle pedal all the way down on the corner exit?

when I do that I always oversteer

edit: I got 1.35.1 but still want to improve my overall driving

They have the wheel straight and have the car settled. You need to finish your turn earlier, so you can straighten the wheel and get on the gas full sooner. If that means moving your braking zone back so you can turn in sooner - or just go slower through the entire turn so you aren't pushing... do it.

I was able to manage a 1:32:516 before calling it quits earlier in the week. Just didn't have the time to play towards the end and knew it would have required HOURS for me to edge that down 1.3s; and unfortunately with family obligations I didn't have those hours. Don't know if I could have even done it anyway - those top guys were crazy fast and I just couldn't put in a perfect lap, I always made 1 maybe 2 mistakes that cost me big.

I'd advice to use 3rd gear also a bit more out of corners since 2nd gear gives much wheelspin sometimes.

I finally golded Motegi yesterday after about 75 restarts allogether. I was almost convinced I couldn't do it with a DS3 with the directional pad but I finally managed a 1:35.471
