I really like al the new cars that are coming with the new update. But we really need Spa in the game!

These Samba bus wishlists....why are these everywhere on my trending lists?!

It became this "protest" van.

I probably am the only one and also this is never going to happen as F1 dropped the circuit years ago, but I always loved the Istanbul GP circuit in racing games. The Korea one is also interesting.

I actually liked the Istanbul GP circuit. Hope we will see it again in F1 one day.
Korea was also not bad but imo there are more interesting circuits I'd like to see in GT:S.

Laguna Seca is fantastic, so fun to drive on that track

Totally agree. I'd love to have all 4 of those tracks, but Laguna Seca is definitely my favorite of the 4. I used to run endless laps with GT3 cars there on Project Cars just for the fun of it.

I really wish they would just add all 4 of those tracks in the upcoming update... :(

I’m also a big fan of Instabul track, but sadly that track doesn’t happen to have much love from the racing gaming industry.

About the update, I’m super happy with the Alpine A110, the Mustang Mach and the possibility of having the Lotus 97T.

But most and foremost I’m curious about the track addition. High hopes we don’t get (just) a layout variation, but a real (new one) track addition.

I hope it's NOT a Detomato Pantera, does look alot like it though, unfortunately....

So, I'm going to go with some wishful thinking and say BMW M1. Kaz's present to us for never including the most requested car (BMW E30 M3).

YES!!

How have we all missed this one over the excitement of it possibly being the Pantera or Urraco. It must be the BMW M1. :D

If it ends up being The M1 I will scream like a groupie :D

I've seen enough Panteras on the internet to know for certain that the car teased in the picture is 100% a De Tomaso Pantera, believe me.

P.S. If you wanna drive the BMW M1, there's PC2. 👍

I'm missing it so much that I opened thread for it about month ago:

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/istanbul-park-circuit-what-happened-why-is-abandoned.373541/

Great for all divisions...

If would come in pair with Twin Ring Motegi and Deep Forest now or little later, it would be fantastic.
Tracks that are not on current gen.

But nothing from this.
I'm expecting two tracks, Le Mans or Spa + Deep Forest.

And hoping for normal, all around leaderboards.

I got a question. Is there a list of cars which have been added that were already in the series? I heard that 21 of 25 cars are known cars from GT6 but I can't find where I read this.

Thank you for your help. :)

So yes, of the 25, only 4 are new to the series. The Supra marked was previously in GT5/6 but as a Standard model only, so you could make an argument that it's new, but most people probably wouldn't.

The 2000GT '67 was premium in GT6, only the Supra RZ '97 was standard.

And if you want to get really in depth with where each car originated from, it's as follows:

GT1

Nissan Skyline GT-R V-spec II (R32) 1994

GT2
Shelby Cobra 427 1966
Toyota 2000GT 1967
Toyota Supra RZ 1997

GT Concept
Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A 2002

GT4: Prologue
Nissan Skyline GT-R V-spec II Nür (R34) 2002

GT5: Prologue
Dodge Viper GTS 2002
Ferrari 512BB 1976
Ferrari F40 1992
Ford GT 2006
Suzuki Swift Sport 2007

GT PSP
Ferrari Enzo Ferrari 2002

GT5

McLaren F1 1994
Volkswagen Sambabus Typ 2 (T1) 1962

GT6
KTM X-BOW R 2012
Lamborghini Diablo GT 2000
Toyota FT-1

Surprisingly none of the returning cars originated from GT4, despite being the game with the most new cars introduced (I think). I guess barely any made it to premium status.

Actually, the Supra MkIV was in GT1.

Wasn't the Supra in GT1? In the intro, it's white or silver with a front shot at Deep Forest(?).

Ah wait, it was standard in GT5, then a premium in GT6.

Perhaps you should have checked first with the author of GTPedia. No, wait... :P:lol:.

Based on the educated guesses for the February dlc there are somewhere around 3 or 4 new cars to the series coming up, which would be more than we've had previously. Makes me curious how the split of the last advertised batch (to date) will be in March between new and old.

The MK4 supra's that were featured in GT1 are both the '95 and '96 models, maybe there's '93 but i'm not so sure.

Ford GT was featured in GT4 but as a 2005 model rather than 2006. Interestingly in GT6, both 2005 and 2006 Ford GT are premium models.

Why would anyone not want the Pantera? I lusted after that car as a kid.

It's such a disservice to the racing vision of GTS that one of the few new cars we have so far -- the ones that supposedly take 6 months each to model -- is a 🤬 pick-up truck. Save that stuff for GT7, Kaz.

Well considering 30% of the cars were every single Skyline model in existence, it's no surprise. The rest were S2000's, MX-5's, RX-7's, Silvia's... you get the point.

I wish that were the case. RWD R33s and R34s are pretty cool, and various 4-doors.

Gran Turismo 2 is by far the game that had plenty of cars that never made it to any other Gran Turismo game.

For example, here's a Nissan Skyline 2.5GT Turbo that @Downhill Dino is referring to i guess:

Some "weird" cars from GT1/2 includes:
Aston Martin DB6
BMW 840CI (Interestingly it's the V8 rather than V12 BMW 8 series)
Dodge Neon R/T (90's two door Neon)
Dodge Copperhead
Ford/Mercury Cougar '99
Ford GT90
Ford Mondeo
Honda Accord Wagon
Jaguar XJR15
Lotus Elise GT1
Mitsubishi GALANT VR-4
Pymouth PT Spyder
Dodge Viper RT/10 (Original early 90's model)
Subaru SVX
Tommy Kaira cars that are based on other cars rather than the "ZZ" one's
Vector M12
Renault Espace F1
3000GT (early pop out versions)
E55 AMG
All Sorts of RUF models.
Subaru Forester
Venturi
5 Door Civic's

I could go on and on....
