GT5 delayed

Words more true have never been spoken.
We're talking about a billion $ company here, and still they utterly fail in time and project management. :yuck:

Yep. When I try to point that out here, everyone gets all pissed off that I would dare level allegations against their abusive spouse.

I'm camping outside of Gamestop on Tuesday morning. I will demand GT5 over and over until they call the cops on me.

If I remember correctly wasn't Gt4 originally scheduled to come out Christmas time but it got delayed until February of the next year? I think that is what will happen again. I could be wrong but I think that's why they haven't said anything about the release date yet. It is a big mistake for Sony not to get it out when they said they would. It seems peculiar that two of Sony's biggest exclusives LBP2 and GT5 are delayed.

You have to think KY won't make a public appearence until a release date is known, hence cancelling his Paris Game Show attendance.

He's still scheduled to make an appearance at SEMA next week and I can't think Sony would allow the event to be overshadowed by constant questions about GT5's release.

Delayed or not?

Abusive spouse? You believe we are all being abused? If you own a PS3 at all, you've probably been dealt a better hand than 95% of people born in the world. If that's totally not true for you, and you have some terrible cross to bear, then my condolences (but I doubt it if you think being deprived of a videogame is abuse). Seriously man, just listen to yourself. Yes, I know, Sony and PD are very sucky at PR etc.. but try to get some perspective on the ol' entitlement.

The way I see it Sony wouldn't want to release the game with competition just releasing after GT5 (finally) is released. I see big competition from TDU 2, which is scheduled for a Q1 2011 release. I don't feel it will be in 2011. I'm almost sure that no competition releases in December so I still believe it can and will be released this year. We must also remember those pictures from Paris Games Week that showed a poster of "GT5 Release date Noël
2010."
I can't help feeling that we will hear a new release date in the coming weeks. I'm being hopeful for sure but we must all have hope despite being let down again and again. I feel as though Sony, Kazunori Yamauchi and his team are working 24/7 to try and get the game out. SEMA seems like the last chance to give out the release date for 2010. I feel it is either SEMA or bust.
At the moment there is much talk about GT5. If Sony wanted attention they've got it. I have a strange feeling that Sony had all the marketing planned and setup before the delay was announced, even though I have no proof. So if the game does release in December I am expecting a massive marketing push from Sony toward the Christmas period.

EDIT: Sorry for using the word "release" 9 times :)

Technically they still have just under 8/9/10 hours to announce a release date (if they use a US time)
Tokyo is already in November now so unless they are going to use US time to announce it before the end of October we are not going to hear a release date as promised..
I would love to wake up in the morning with a flood of news/threads about a new release date but I just dont see it happening.
Please Sony, PD, Prove me wrong! I'm starting to worry that it might be 2011 before we see GT5 on the shelves :( I dont want that, I still hope it'll be 2010

You don't understand some metaphorical hyperbole?

And yes, I am serious when I malign Sony and PD. There are many people who structured their vacation time and spending money around the release date of this game. Delaying it affected people in real life.

There is no "real" competition to GT5. Not many are going to have to choose between other titles and this one.

I have a friend of mine in the same situation. Talking about a waste of 3 days of work. :ouch:

Oh I can tell you're serious

by the way, I bought a PS3 last month, just for GT5. It's not a small amount of money for me either. I also saw you saying you felt like neglected child, so I was just trying to remind you and everyone else that it's really not worth being so upset about. Just because we can act so angry about this stuff with complete anonymity, doesn't make it any less stupid.

I highly doubt Sony will have a date for us today. I am assuming that Jordan will have a new entry on the main page sometime tomorrow when Sony decides to make an announcement.

I'm in both your boats...I scheduled a week off so I could do nothing but play GT5 without driving the wife completely batty, and I finally bought a PS3 after finding out Sony had announced a firm release date (snicker).

So yes, I feel that they inconvenienced me, but I also have Bioshock, Oblivion, Fallout 3, The Force Unleashed, Wipeout HD, Modnation Racers, and GT5:P to fall back on.

Haha, exactly! I only bought GTA and it's plenty to keep me occupied until GT5. We are lucky, and to be so self-righteous about the despicable, outrageous incompetence of Sony is just masturbation imo.

If it's not out this year, I'll laugh (as I did the last 3 times it got delayed as well).

I think everyone can agree on one thing. That PD totally blows at releasing a game on time. Shame on 'em for that...

Correction, it only got delayed once other than this time.

I'm still hopeful for a Christmas release for GT5 but I have to admit, the lack of info from Sony is a real worry. :(

I bought an HDTV (only thing I bought on credit), a G27, a Wheelstand Pro, and a PS3 in the past 3 months in order to be ready for this date. I do ok for a living, but I still had to pinch a little bit to make it happen.

Where is the Sony confirmation? You expect us to take a website called "InRumor" seriously? They don't quote a single Sony Press Release...

Even if there were a Sony confirmation it would be worth nothing! I cant understand how its possible to do what Sony is doing now(nothing; not even say "we dont know when the game will be done yet").

They`re undermining the credibility of the hole Sony brand!!

Amazing stupidity!
