GT5 Pre-Order Bonuses?

There have been games that I have used a Gameshark with in the past and it always ruined the game for me. The same applies here, even though technically it is not cheating.

Same here, and it kinda of hurt GT4 for me, but I did have a lot of fun with my dad in 2-player using any car that we wanted. It really did hurt it for me though as I only got to about 17-18% up until about 2 months ago because I lost interest in it, but I have since just passed 75% (0 b-spec points) complete as of last night, and feel a whole lot better about my whole GT4 experience now. I am trying to achieve 90% by the end of the month, at which point, I will put GT4 back down, and play GT5P until Nov 2 in preparation of the full release (that sounds a little dirty). I have had more fun in the last 2 months of GT4 than I did the previous 5 years. I am glad that GT5 probably won't have any sort of Gameshark to tempt me and others, and get back to why we all fell in love with the GT series to begin with. Having said all that, I will probably transfer my GT5P stuff, mainly for arcade use and 2-player action. I will try to not touch any of the money that might transfer, if it transfers. My Gamestop preorder bonuses will not be used in my career mode until I have completed all that I wish to complete.

It's going to depend on how much money transfers from GT5P for me. In GT4 it was a big help to transfer the money. Kinda like a kick start to game.

I'm anticipating 100,000cr like it was from gt3 to gt4, I think. It helped me a bit when I started playing GT4 a few month ago but it did very little in the whole scheme of things.

It's a carbon copy of the U.S. site's description. Did you even read my post? Probably not.

I asked if what the site says is actually what Canadians will get. We often get de-contented items compared to the U.S.

I have not read anywhere what the Canadian Best Buy stores will offer, or Future Shop (only in Canada).

I did actually. Does you link not take you to the canadian gamestop site? Just cause it looks like the US site means what exactly? Why would it list that on the CA site if it isn't included? Seeing as the canadian site took a few days to update with the release date as well as CE availability, I would imagine the info they have is what you canadians will get.
Of course if you don't like my answer, you could you know, pick up the phone, and call them to see what they say. Just a suggestion. Worked for others so it might work for you.

As I said, pick up the phone instead of waiting for someone to do it for you.
I was just trying to help you. I figured you were confused as to which site you posted as the info you asked for was right there in black and white. How could gamestop get away with breaking a seal on a package and then selling it as new? All the things mentioned, besides the bonus cars, are inside a fancy box/sleeve so taking things out would be difficult. Also this is the north american version of the game, not USA or canada specific version.
Just to show you how good of a guy I am, I emailed gamestop for you. If you're nice enough, I'll show you their replies.

you get that when you pre-order the standard game in any HMV store (ireland) .... they get sent out to you in an email with codes to download them

whats advertised for ireland at the moment is:

€44.99 when you pre-order and you get the two stealth cars free.

Yeah, the bonus codes are not version specific, they just open up the bonus items for whatever game they they are meant for. GT5 will just be GT5, no matter which version you buy.

So, are you saying someone could buy both the CE version from GameStop, and standard version from Best Buy, and use both games' bonus cars (since the CE and standard have different cars as bonus cars)? Sorry for the confusion.

Yeah. No matter which version you get, you get the codes. I see no reason why they would have separate batches of codes. I wouldn't buy 2 versions just to get a free virtual car. They will most likely be available for download a couple of months after release, maybe even Christmas.

I know Amazon has the Mercedes SLS Stealth Model (SP?) and Gamestop has two, McClaren F1 and #20 Nascar Racecar. Is there any other pre-order bonuses?

What, just because you paid an insane amount of money for the Signature Edition?! The only benefits in the game are those cars you get free, and even those are available to others. The rest of the money paid goes towards covering the cost of the extra padding that is shipped with it, oh, and the shiny black biscuit tin!

now for a standard customer order i will ignore that email address space cos im sure the old gentleman wanting to get his classic just wants his classic and noting is gonna come with it email and download wise.

if you want to make sure though im sure you can just ask head office for a confirmation of what way its working over here but i dont know to be honest so i'll put in the email address and either way the people will get their cars.

SigEd is some euro/Aussie thing we don't get. Its ridiculously expensive cause it needs to cover the expense of the SLS they are giving away. They throw in a few trinkets like a wallet and a thumbdrive along with a tin box and 11 free in game cars.

Oooh okay. Our CE doesn't seem so bad, then.

I'm already forking out enough for a Logitech G27 and Wheel Stand Pro, I don't want to spend any more, lol. I haven't used a wheel since I was a hardcore sim racer in my teens with F1 2002 and all of the different mods for it.

I went all the way through GT3 and even GT4 without a wheel, but can't for GT5!

Agreed. I was thinking of just parking them until they could be used in a race where they won't blow everything else away. But until that time I was thinking of using them to learn new tracks in faster cars and if I just want to drive laps on a fun track in time trial or something. FYI I got the CE from Gamestop with the #20 NASCAR and McLaren F1 "Stealth"
