THe barging at RBR is insane, DR down to B, have not been off S for over a year. Relentlessly being hit no matter where I place my car.
I'm glad that I'm experiencing mostly the opposite of this and the only contact I'm usually encountering appears to usually be unintentional.

per @nenkaai ...

Daily Races for next week (19/09/2022):
A - Monza No Chicane / Any Road Car <450 PS, >1300kg (5 Laps, 1x Tyre/Fuel, SS) - DR/SR back off
B - Trial Mt. / Gr.4 (5 Laps, 1x Tyre/Fuel, RM)
C - Daytona Road Course / Gr.3 (10 Laps, 9x Tyre, 1x Fuel, RH + RM mandatory)

can you believe it? a sprint race with medium tires???

and i reallllly do not understand switching A back and forth on ranked/unranked. the only real indicators are above the race, where it says 'no updates for sr / dr', but i can't imagine thats something every user reads every time.
What!? Daily C at Daytona with high tyre wear and 2 types of tyres? PD are spoiling us now!

I feel your pain. I’ve just 4 races now on daily b and my results been shocking due to others!
Race 1 went a little wide and car behind tapped my rear so spun out.
Race 2 my own fault at T3. Got past a Merc going up the hull and into the braking they hit me from behind didn’t really cause me to lose position but on the exit I spun the rears.
Race 3 an impatient Ferrari tried to stick one on the inside on a corner they were never going to make a pass on
Race 4 finally got a result, P3.

Init funny how you lose DR/SR really quickly in a few races, but it takes for ever to build it back up even though you had some really good results after it?

By FAR the most common incident is where there's say one or two cars right in front of me, i keep close but just far enough so if they trip over themselves i have space to not hit them and can accelerate quickly and pass on the exit. Folks behind me have zero awareness and just brake where they normally do despite there being 3 cars in front of them entering the corner.

Like guys, for the love of god, brake a touch earlier so we can navigate the turn you, muppets. So many idiots.

Anyone had issues with the lobbies when entering?
Last night I decided to jump on and do a few daily b‘s. 9.50pm lobby, the lobby crashed on the warm up page and then the next lobby failed to even load. I know it’s wasn’t my internet as my PS5 is hard wired, and on the test connection screen it showing like 95% green on the parameters and 30 ping
I have at the end of last week and this week. I hope it gets worked out.

It's very interesting / worrying that we're a good few weeks past the FIA stating they would work with GT again when they were able to resolve their connectivity issues and they still haven't been.

@Bullwinkle PSN says that I can't add you as a friend because of your account settings. Why would you restrict that?
I don't restrict anything. I am fine with letting anyone message me, or send friend requests. I never report anyone for anything.
I hate censorship. I say let people do or say whatever they want, and then deal with it accordingly.

I'll be your friend.

It's not dead at all. Each region has its busy times and its quiet times.

I'm DR:B on the NA (North America) side, and for me if I try to get a race past midnight, I'll see a mix of DR/SR, often with the odd DR:A+ and as low as DR: D. However, if I suit up between 4PM and 10PM, I'll get matched up with DR:B and A every time. It also depends on which race you're trying, as the majority of people will favour one race over the other two.

It just depends on who else is on in your region at that time.
Not dead but far behind the participation numbers GT Sport had. Of course the split user base for dailies doesn't help either.

In GT Sport matchmaking would only let lower SR in in the very early morning hours on the Americas server which is already less than half the population of the Europe server. GT Sport had around 90K weekly active sport mode players before GT7 dropped, with spikes over 200K weekly during the pandemic. (Now down to 21K weekly and matching is all over the place out of prime time)

GT Sport managed to draw nearly full A+/S rooms on Sunday evenings on a popular track like Suzuka, can GT7 do that?

I've been doing a lot of racing today in B during the day and while I haven't won at all, I'm consistently placing in the upper half of mostly mixed A/B DR lobbies resulting in my first foray into an A DR!

Fuji sector 3 is the worst designed piece of racing tarmac in the history of automobile racing and I loathe it with every fiber of my being.
I'm able to keep up with the fastest drivers through sectors 1 & 2 but as soon as we hit 3 it's all over, even with TCR turned on

My week in the dailies has been mixed. I started in Race C but I found it got tedious very quickly. No strategy, just harvesting battery charge and trying to avoid the morons who want to divebomb everywhere.

I ran a couple of race As. It's kinda fun, but the car doesn't do anything for me.

So back to RBR it has been. I'm usually pretty good on that track and the RSR being competitive plays right into my wheelhouse. Sure enough a qualy time of 1:28.4xx means I'm generally starting somewhere in the top 3 and have posted 9 wins from 14 races for a nice little DR bump. Last night was the best racing with 6 A+ drivers at the front of the field and 3 really competitive, hard but clean races.

Here's hoping Daytona next week sees a mix of cars being competitive under different strats and not just the usual suspects (BRZ/RXV) when tyre wear is high.

Dipped my toe in on Race A, after reading all the reports of carnage here!

Started P11, QT 3 seconds slower than the guy on pole, but halfway round lap one I was P5 - somehow managed to thread my way through all the rammers and spinners. Lonely race then to the end, as the four in front were way ahead, and those behind never got closer than 2 seconds.

I think that's me more or less done with this weeks races, might do some on Sunday when I'm next off but for now I'm prepping for next week. So Race B....obvs the 4WD cars will be good but will the RM tyres bring the FF's into it ?. I tried the GTR, Alfa and TT out earlier and i think the GTR will be best but i got fairly close to it in the Audi TT....so who knows.

Ffs why can't they just leave race a alone. Better get my fill this week i guess, since i probably wont be racing next week.

Had another evening with a handful of good races. Started in the front half of the field, and everyone seemed to be trying to keep it clean.

I also, somehow, managed to improve my qt from 1.47.3 down to 1.46.6, and i don't know how lol i didn't feel like a good lap. I was in shock when i crossed the line and saw the lap time

I honestly expect an Alfa bump party once again. The driving characteristics might not lead to better laptimes in qualifying, but they help a lot in race situations - braking late and accelerating out of corners.

Hope that I'm wrong this time, though.

ANyone using the McLaren at RBR, it's competitive if lacking a few ponies. I struggle through T1, can't get on it early like I can with the Supra but dear baby jesus the exit from turn 3! So to be clear the tight up hill right hander as I am counting the left hand kink as turn 2. The gearing is crazy good for turn 3, it just LEAPS out of there, totally insane.

I'll have to try this.

I got to play yesterday evening at around 9pm EST and I was actually qualifying higher because I assume more people were playing and the servers were more balanced.

The problem I have with the Porsche is turn 3. If I'm not unwinding the wheel at the apex, I have to slam on the brakes to keep from spinning out. I was losing a second there every other lap. Frustrating but I'm determined to master it. I definitely missed out on some podium finishes because of this.

I just can't seem to set good laps with it, gave it a go earlier in the week. The only thing I seem to be able to do well in is the 911

With the 911, try overlapping a little throttle in the corner with the brake. Seems to preload the rear/balance the car and I've had no spins there since figuring that out.

Try throttle instead of brake. I coast almost to the apex then apply a little throttle to stop it oversteering. When you get it right you can gun it early and really launch out of there.

A bit unsure over the dailies this week. Race C is a nightmare on controller for me and Race B depends on your qualy lap too much in terms of catching the top runners.

Didn't like the NSX as I found it inconsistent, it either grips like a beast or surprise twitches you into another track!

Decided to go with what I know (Supra) and managed a 1:28:8 after a few tries but still only good enough for P12 start most times.

Didn't have much time to practice or race as been extremely hectic this week as I'm actually getting married tomorrow so priorities... 🤣

Still, here is my lap and some snippets of race results!
