I'm a bit upset but also happy lol. Yesterday's race, when I was penalized for running into a driver who brake-checked me, must have dropped me down a tier in SR, even though I'm still A/S.

Did a race just now after finally cracking the 1:25's for Sardegna qualy, I started P6 in a lobby of just A drivers. Yesterday it was just me and another with the rest all A+

At least this time, the race went well. But I lost the clean race bonus when someone tried to ram me...?! 🤐

I've had the same but to the left before. I tried everything to no avail until I saw that the power cable had unplugged itself from the block on the cable. Plugger her back in and she was fine after. Thankfully nobody was around to see.
Did the same thing 5 minutes ago, I panicked for around 30sec and then I saw the cable half unplugged :D

Mostly raced in race B this week and it's not been great. A lot of people see a yellow flag or a big incident directly in front of them and just decide to head in as quickly as possible, consequences be damned. At this point I've dropped from mid-high DR A to right at the bottom end and I'm deliberately trying to drop back to B for the sake of trying to find some better, more interesting racing. One thing I'll credit drivers in the lower rated lobbies for is that they just use whatever cars they like rather than just running the meta or maybe a selection of 3 or so cars at the most.

Le Mans next week could be interesting depending on the cars. It would be fun to have a GR1 race, or an opportunity to use LMP cars of appropriate eras, rather than having the modern and classic cars smashed into a single group.

I was finally able to run some race B today after a month off. Summer with 3 small kids isn't as fun as summer being a kid.

I do enjoy sardegna road track. Just have to be careful not to be on the outside in a few corners. I even managed to hold onto my A rating (for now).

I bought a Series S last Black Friday because I got a good deal (199€ for the console and a month of Game Pass Ultimate for 1€). It was my first console since PS2, where I played Gran Turismo 4 extensively. That was my last Gran Turismo.

I am now thinking about getting a PS5 only for Gran Turismo, because I am not really interested in any other exclusives -- although I'd probably end up giving them a try. I'm also looking to play Forza Motorsport in October, but that's not getting released on the PS5. Do you guys think it's worth it getting a PS5 for GT7? I'm obviously not looking for financial advice here, I just want to know if you'd do it if you had the financial means to do so.

Ahhhhhhh and finally.....friday gave me the time to concentrate and relax to learn the track better and improve my QT...better late than never!
Focus on the 650S that handles the track really well, initially I didn't like the turbo voice and the feelings but now it's almost love...so I've now got a 1:27:4x QT that is a huge improvement from my earlier time, just with a brief session.

Did a bunch of races with a good streak, best and final results a pole position - clean race and 1st overall that moved me finally back to DR C after 2 weeks when I learned how to play with the wheel....really hope to keep the rating!

I've done it once. I'd been wiped out and was last with race done so didn't care. Auto drive costs you a lot of time. Still I ended up picking up 2 more spots through attrition so even if you think you are done you can't be on chat for long to project your "tame" abuse (** tame as PS5 doesn't allow any word that is remotely sensitive or "rude" so you have to get creative). Having a keyboard helps but I'm still slow as my keyboard is not attached to my rig.

I did not know this but I just looked it up but apparently the PS has a voice to text dictation that can be used in messages (https://www.androidcentral.com/how-use-voice-dictation-ps5-messages). No idea if this works in GT7.

But how will Sony censor you when you call someone a "horse's ass" in US English or even "horse's arse" in colonial English? :D How will I know if someone is cussing me out in Portuguese or Spanish? I only speak three languages: American, British and Australian. All of them badly.. :D
I’m pretty sure that particular languages package comes with Canadian and New Zealander free.

Bam! You’re up to 5.

I got my PS5 just for GT7, and am quite happy with it. I did the same for the PS4 and GT Sport as well though, and GT5/6 and the PS3. So I may be a bad example, since I don’t play any other games lol.

I have a PS5 because I one day got an email from Sony about adding my name to a queue for next available PS5s. At the time they were a very very very difficult thing to buy. 3 days later I got the actual invite to buy one the next day. I did it because I actually thought I'd resell (I know I know) but I kept it and I pretty much only play GT on it. No regerts. Would buy again.

It’s been almost a year plus since I’ve sat down and put in some laps on GT7 & finally took a week off to get some laps in Sport mode

Settled on race b this week & quickly lost my B DR knocking the rust off making mistakes and getting bumped around but after a few hours I was able to put in today I finally got my 1st P1 on GT7.

After the victory I jumped in the Ferrari & started p2, settled into p3/4 when the driver behind me decided to practice his pit maneuver technique and send me straight into the barrier @ the beginning of the final lap. I lost my cool & quickly retaliated and rammed into him & an innocent bystander. Sucks for the bystander but It felt good & the moment I’m not gonna lie 😂.

The highlight of my night was a p2 I ended with from pole position. I thought I lost the position braking early @ turn 4 but after checking the replay it was my favorite push to pass technique 🤨 (left me a little salty in hindsight). I lost p1 and settled into p2 a few turns later and slowly reeled him in… couldn’t get the pass done but the chase had my heart going… reminded me why I love this game so much. Ended up with fastest lap & regained my B rating after that performance

What did I start?

I decided to try Race B for the first time today. Did not want to impact my main account so I tried it in Europe. Yeah, it went about as well as I expected.

Started Q7 and lap 2 P4, 5 & 6 go into the righter 3-wide at the bottom of the hill. That didn’t go well. P4 goes in the gravel, P5 goes off and P6 and I jump to P4 and 5. I was perfectly positioned for the left hand at the top of the hill and P6 comes back on and hits my rear flank spinning me. I drop to last.

Next lap I catch up with one car, pass them and immediately go off myself (still adjusting to the weight of this new DD wheel - sometimes the force feedback catches me out). Back to last. That’s where I ended as I spend some time in auto drive ranting in the chat.

TLDR. I don’t like B.

Funny you should say that, because I was just thinking how much I'm enjoying it. With 19 races so far this week, and 22 race Bs last week, I finally feel like I'm back to enjoying the game. And I love next week's race B track, reverse or not, so I'm finally enjoying the game again.

Are you meaning for race A, B or C?

Whilst I get that you're annoyed my first reaction on seeing it was that it was wholly accidental. They wanted to go up the inside and the door closed part way through the move. More on you if that happens. What camera do you use and do you have the radar on? If that was me I'd look at the replay and the following seconds with embarrassment.

Well... I get your point but you never conquered the country or owned it. You more just settled in it and had some skirmishes. Plus I'm form ye olde Wessex which was never Daneified. :yuck:

We’re taught to go straight on a straight not turn through a rear bumper, at least that’s my understanding.

Have you even watched this back? I watched the moment again at half speed to view everything. They try to see if they can go for the inside gap. Their back tyre touches the grass which upsets the car. (If you don't think that's a thing, try it yourself) As they wobble they touch your rear end. A mistake from them but not an attempt to be dirty. In fact I think their racing for the whole lap proceeding this was exemplary. If they were dirty they would have punted you beforehand quite easily. They don't 'turn' into you. The grass fires them into you. Again I can see you why you were upset but in reality your 'revenge' was unwarranted. 1 view of the reply should have shown you that, and yet you post it for us all to see and judge you on.

I'd agree with this - looks like a stick driver (I don't how people manage that - I can't steer at all with them) so that maybe leads to larger movements. A deliberate dirty pass is far easier on many corners on Race B - I've been punted or shoved wide on most of them this week.
