Maybe those items will come as dlc. With hopefully a monster truck like we had in San Andreas.

Sandking is crap. My stock Evoque is 3x Better :D.

Sandking has its place. Going up him isn't one. LoL

I enjoy it jumping through the desert and down at the damn for mud. As well tracking through water holes.

DustDriver
I would prefer the Dakar/rally raid truck from SA :P

That's the Sandking from GTA SA, if I'm not mistaken.

I was disappointed to find out that they have used the same nameplate for a new truck in GTA V. Unless Rockstar fixes the 4x4 system of the Sandking, then it won't be 4x4, possible forever. I doubt the fixing would happen, because Rockstar is too lazy about it.

The Evoque/Baller 2 is good off road! Rock crawling isn't its strong suit, but it can dominate hills!
That's one good looking SUV along with my favorite but in off-roading, too bad. It may be good but the tire size looks too small but that's only me.

That's why I prefer the Gresley over Baller 2 in terms of off-roading.

EDIT: *Sorry for double post*

Love the idea of this group! Back in the San Andreas days I used to imagine there was some sort of 4x4 club that existed in San Andreas. I always thought of doing something similar to this in that game but never got around to it. Now this is group is going which is awesome!

Here's my first 4x4 in online fresh from the mod shop. Always had a soft spot for the Mercedes G-Wagon so....

Already thinking of adding the first roof rack option, the one without the driving lights. It's only mildly modified without a turbo but it's a lot nicer to drive then standard.

Doog and I are going to be doing some offroading tonight/right now if anybody feels like coming along. Slow and steady, not using momentum to haul RWD sedans up a hill.

Edit: We're in an invite-only session right now, friend requests are needed if anybody wants to join.

Sorry for the DP, 8 hours later. :P

Anyway, if anyone who asked about the trails site could click on the link below and tell me what you think of that one page it would be great. Don't bother trying to navigate the site, nothing else is finished. Still need to change a few things on that one page (add a map, clickable photos, etc) but it's about 90% done.

It looks GREAT! I can't see the pics from the office so I'll check it again when I get home. It's really well written and a good start. Thank you from the Xbox step children that are following you.

Speaking of Xbox step children, I'll be trying to get together with all of you this weekend. Any feed back you want to offer in regards to organizing meets would be great. Get your rigs waxed and lets go!

Haha awesome. I just got home from work, I may or may not be on tomorrow before my shift but I should def be on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday since I'm off those days.

Well even though my PSN is JeepXJFreak98, I had to get rid of my Merryweather Mesa. It's just become too popular. I'm one of those players that doesn't drive a car that is common with other players. I will be finding a replacement offroader when I get on later.

A fellow Jeep fanatic IRL I own two, an XJ and a YJ, I know what your saying with the online popularity of the Off Road Mesa but I just can't give mine up. :D Instead, I'll just keep one of everything in my garage so I can have my mechanic drop off whatever isn't abundant on the trail when I arrive. :P

Add: Awesome work on the website, RT!

I instead have Trevor's truck now, which is crazy as all heck with it's torque. Oh the irony...
I just wish there was an XJ knockoff in this game. The Seminole just isn't working for me ever since a friend told me it looked like a Nissan Xterra from the front. :yuck:

So, this is the Sultan RS of GTA V now, right?

Same.

Erm...I don't think it's at that point yet, although it's clear that Entities and Adders have replaced the Sultan RS and Police Stinger as the two go-to noob cars for online. I used to have an Entity XF but after hearing that everyone was buying it I replaced it with an Infernus, which I much prefer. I can't get enough of that sexy V12 sound.

It has horrible ground clearance too. The FJ looking car is pretty nice off road. Has great approach and departure angles. Worth a look into.

I wish we got an Xterra ripoff, love those things.

The Dubsta is good from what I saw SuperShouden accomplish yesterday. He flew up Chiliad without a problem.
When I get on in a bit I'm going to test the Bodhi up Chiliad as well as a few of the trails on the site, unless you have already. If not I'll leave a review here as well as the setup I used, if that's alright.

The Dubsta is great, but again the ground clearance isn't ideal for a few trails. The old Suburban (Rancher XL?) isn't bad either, great ground clearance and with all power mods it's pretty good. It sounds like an old throaty diesel, so I added the turbo for a nice turbo diesel setup. :P

Edit: Just a note about the website, I talk about approach and departure angles quite a bit. When I get the reviews up for all the vehicles they will all have the specific angles listed. 👍

I tried Chiliad with a stock Rancher XL, and it climbed it better than my mate's Sandking SWB, which had engine stage 2 and a sport transmission.
The Rancher XL seems to be one of the only proper 4WD trucks in the game, since it feels like a RWD on the road but offroad it hauls like a 4WD. Just a shame it's rather slow offroad, so avoid it in an online offroad race. :indiff:
It seems to be relatively rare online, so I might grab one to replace my soon-to-be-sold Merryweather Mesa. I'll miss it, but there are other SUVs out there for a reason.
Also the Sadler sucks offroad. RWD and less torque than a hand wrench.

Have you guys seen the Dubsta 2? It's like the original except it's blacked out.

R1600 I thank you dearly for all of the hard work you have put into making this idea a reality. I cannot wait to accompany you guys on these wonderful trails.
Is there still no date regarding our first meetup?
