OK, watching the replay back this morning. Apologies to Bronco for The Big One. Looking back it seems that I squeezed you over. But from my cockpit during the race, it really didn't seem that way. I didn't realise you got so much of a run as I drifted high out the corner.

Sorry dude 👍

All that concentrating for those 3 hours really drained me, I just woke up after passing out at 10:15 :scared:

Guys, don't beat up Knelly for something as stupid as this. I accidentally did this twice, but not as extreme, I wrecked Joe. It wasn't on purpose, it's just that when you go low, you don't notice someone is there until its late.

Everyone was beating and banging the whole race.

Thanks man 👍

I thought it would be sensible to have my map zoomed to 1 as I knew it was going to be manic pack racing. This didn't work out though as although the road is wider on the map, the triangles are smaller than they should be.

There was a number of times after drafting past someone with the map showing it to be clear, feeling that nudge as you cut somebody up.

So word of warning (maybe just in these cars, I don't know), don't put your map on 1 as it's easy to misjudge when you think you are clear.

What may have come across as aggressive last night, was honestly just a case of keeping lines, and using runs, and going for laps led (Tom and I, and Wardez and I seemed to have some very good to-ing and fro-ing here) ... all at ridiculous speeds in cars that cannot be touched.

EDIT : BTW Tom, it's good to see I'm not the only one who needs to renew their Norton ;)

EDIT EDIT : My car now has 3,952 miles on the clock :yuck:

Have to agree with Cowboys. I think it was a very aggressive move but as we know now it was a mistake 👍

I won't spoil the IndyCar race for you if you haven't seen it yet but it was one hell of an exciting finish.

Glad he won; bit of a stupid mistake to make at that point haha.

EDIT:

Of course you agree Tomas, I should be Indy's CEO.

Thanks guys :sly:

I only use it for motorsport, it's really useful for getting updates from the teams whilst watching live.

Not sure who that person is but I'm sure that he's in some sort of motorsport anyway.

Nice. Kind of like Karthakayen for BBC F1 Practice coverage.

Wait, why'd he reply to you? :dopey:

Kind of, except Tomas has won races before

They ask for questions and although it didn't get read out, because they piggyback US coverage for most of the race, the presenters have chance to go on twitter etc. Probably also has something to do with the fact there wasn't many people watching it live at 3am.

Ah right, I nearly won a steering wheel of Radio LeMans because I was watching the Dubai 24h when most of the listeners were asleep. I think 5 people entered the Twitter competition.

It was good to see Jacques Villenueve on sky F1, he was my favorite driver when I was a kid and I saw him win in IndyCar at Road America in 1994 and 1995. I'm going to try and go to the Nationwide/Grand-Am race weekend coming up, maybe Jacques can pull the upset :)

I think they (IndyCar) need to get rid of most of the street circuits, which more often than not produce boring racing and tons of cautions. Replace them with the classic indycar tracks that are missing from the schedule like Portland, Laguna Seca, Road America, Nazareth, Michigan, and Loudon.

Awesome. Cheers mate 👍

You were always ahead but it was a great battle for the most part. You stretched out by about 15 early on and I clawed it back to even before you went 20 more ahead. I was always in catch up then and the closest I came was 7 behind with 20 to go.

A lot of to-ing and fro-ing 👍

I think as there were approx 20 cautions (hard to watch the entire race just for laps led), then if one gets penalties, others surely will.

It was very intense racing and everybody tried the hardest. Watching it back today was good to see how much everyone was putting into every corner.

Hats off to all who raced, and lived 👍
