Do not discuss privately or post publicly any of your splits or final times, or anything relating to this qualifier that would help another driver to improve on his/her final lap time. By taking part in this qualifier you therefore agree to this very strict ruling. đź‘Ť

Just read through the qualification thread and it mentioned a deadline of 14th Sept, is that intentional? I got the impression in this thread that it's still running.
That was the first cut-of date. It then reopened. But if you did read this thread you would have seen thsi post directly above yours:

I've just closed the registry for a few days, so I can catch up.

Anyway, just wanted to mention that I registered a new ID (GTP_Ske) and that I'm currently wrestling that F430 around Suzuka :dunce:
I am assuming that you sent a PM to Sphinx just to actually get on the registry? Your qualifier means nothing until you do that. And as it is currently closed it won't even mean anything until he reopens it.

Now, I haven't seen much lap time discussion around here
Because it is against the rules.

I suggest you read all the rules again to make sure that you get it right, because you are missing two very important details (maybe three) already.

If you do your qualifier and it turns out that you have gone off-track or violated other rules then you are in even worse trouble.

You also might want to see exactly how you are supposed to format your PMs to Sphinx as that is a common mess up that has occurred and at the rate you are going I would say the odds are against you getting it right.
Before you go any further please save Sphinx a ton of trouble by reading all the rules for the Registry and the Qualifier in their individual threads.

Thank you, and good luck on the track.

I did read that which is why I thought I'd ask.... because of the post dates the two threads seemed to me to contradict each other.

I haven't submitted a time yet, for now I've just secured a PSN ID. I've been away from GT and GTP for a while, so I'll try to catch up on the game itself and the registry rules before I make anything "official".

Allright, thanks for warning me. I thought I'd read the rules up and down, can't believe how I missed that bit :scared:

I'm aware of the format and the rules governing the lap itself, so I don't think that'll be a problem. I've not planned on submitting anything until it's reopened.. just wanted to say "hi", I guess ;)

Being away from the site for so long made me forget how things work around here... I'll be a bit more careful before posting next time.

My error, just forgot to take it out. It's removed now. đź‘Ť

Hi everyone. I have just created a new GTP PSN, GTP_ArcFlyer, and would like to join in to your racing events.

I have been joining in events on some other sites ever since GT5P arrived, but am now looking for more of a challenge.

Good to see such a solid group committed to racing GT5P. Look forward to racing. Cheers

So, let me get this straight. If I succeed in the qualifier, and sort the name out (add GTP_) I am 'in'?

After I am 'in' what are the expectations of me event-wise? Is there a certain number of GTP events I must take place in within a certain period, etc?

Just wondering, is it possible to change your gtp id in the registry?

Yes, but don't make a habit of it.

Make sure you follow the instruction here:

You're only "in" after following the instructions here:
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=105367 and have been accepted to be "in"

Expectations, event wise, do whatever events you want to do and leave the rest.

Right I've been requested for a replay verification of my lap, when is the exact deadline for me to send it too Sphinx ?

OH MAN!!!! I see a GTP Registry Member's Forum link at the top of the Race Events Sub-Forum!!! Can't wait to get the password - do you guys need beta testers??? :)

Also, for people trying to get into the registry now has the SpecIII update done anything to the F430/Suz combination?

Sorry to ask this if it has been talk about before. My eyes are bleeding after reading the first sixty something pages of this thread. I was just wondering when the registration qualifier would start up again?

Sphinx has said elsewhere that he hoped it would be open again within the next 10 days.... that was a couple of days ago so over the next week or so keep your eyes peeled

No I don't think so.. I mean, you can race with your new tag but it won't count towards official events/timings. There is a qualifier in place to register... consisting of a timed fastest lap around Suzuka in an F430. You are then allocated a division based on this time. However, the qualifier is currently closed to allow adjustments to be made based on the new Spec III update.

I am in the same situation myself. I was registered but then was offline for a few months and missed the qualifying for Spec II before the update.

Hope that helps. :)

is it possible to join GTP_race event01 now?
I have change id name to GTP_

If you're not currently on he GTP_Registry them I'm afraid you can't.

I'm hoping to get the registry back at the end of this comming weekend.

Damn, I just relised once I get my PS3 and start up GT5P, I've gotta put all those updates just so I can register. Man, that'll be time consuming:indiff:

It should give you everything with just one update. Maybe two if the gameplay and GTTV updates are separate. Just remember, it will resume where it left off, even if the progress bar doesn't show it.

Has anyone checked how the F430/Suz combination is playing out under Spec III? Just curious if new applications to join the registry and qualify are facing more or less of a challenge.

I have little knowledge on the PS3(other than it has this much memory and it palys this media format) or how to do these updates so that helps:tup:. I only know how to navigate the main menu before selecting a game so I could use some help on it. Hopefully, next week I can get it.

Well, when you boot up the game it will tell youthat there is an update and then ask if you want to download it. Say yes. It will start. If you get an error, and you most likely will, it will send you to the main game menu. Select news and it will give you the available update message again. Click on yes again and it will resume where it left off, but the progress bar will look like it started over.

Just be patient with the updates. Some people get it in one, some have to try it multiple times. I've never had to try more than six times.

So, even if you are getting errors it is working, just in the most odd way possible.

Alright then. Thanks alot:tup: I'll refer to this post when start.

Man, now I'm nervious after seeing a guy like Delfino taken off and the little time I've had with GT5P (courtesy of a In-store display) doesn't help either:nervous:
