Man, now I'm nervious after seeing a guy like Delfino taken off and the little time I've had with GT5P (courtesy of a In-store display) doesn't help either

Once we have the qualifier back up, Delfino is more than welcome to submit again. Delfino is aware of this and fully understands and accepts why he was removed from the divisions.

i look forward to the next registry qualifier. i remembered spending a good amount of time during the Spec 2 qualifier but due to inactivity for weeks, i missed the closing window and the submission of the required replay files.

Given the number of dirty replays being submitted for the competition, and the apparent ignorance/misinterpretation of the rules, is there a case for wider verification of replays for times submitted for the qualifier?

Its alot of work to verify every replay.... I duly offer my time to help with replay verification if it is required.

Edit - Particularly as my steering wheel broke on Friday and I can't play 'till my new one arrives...

I spent some time working on a new qualifier yesterday and hope it will be up very soon. It'll good to have you back onboard. 👍

Yes.

It'll be in the from of random requests for verification for those not in the top 10 from each division. 👍

Good thing. And I would suggest that people that have submitted dirty laps would afterward be obliged to have someone else check his replay (sorry Kelly) prior to his submission.

Same here, I'd love to know. I completley missed the last one. Left it to the last weekend and then couldn't fit it in then anyway. I'll try and do the opposite at the next window and aim to get the time in as early as possible. Should've done that in the first place really .

Dont worry, It'll be open again when Sphinx has got time. At the moment he is very busy with GTP_Race Events and therefore thats why it is closed. So please be patient. 👍

I just really really hope PD lock the physics in place when GT5 comes, resetting rankings/car setups and reworking the qualifier isn't/wouldn't be fun at all.

I would hate to do some car benchmarking in GT5 only to have it voided a month after release then every other month after just because PD decided to 'tweak' the physics/grip.

Looking forwards to the qualifier re-opening.

Do you conduct the verification with a zero tolerance approach? To be honest, I hope so. Although I'm not a top driver, I like to think I'm okay and a fair racer.

I have been practising the old qualifier (for fun) and it's pretty tough for an average SIXAXIS driver to do three laps without any collision. The damn Elises seem to brake late for a few turns on Daytona Road and either go off or rear-end me!

Anyway, it has been fun so far and I look forwards to attempting the real qualifier when it re-opens

But if you want to go ahead and set up a PSN account with GTP_ on the user name it will make your's and Sphinx's life easier so that when you sign up for the registry you both know that the account name is good to go.

This 3 lap race was not the qualifier it was an event.The qualifier was a hot lap at Suzuka arcade mode in an F430 with S2.

No-one knows each others time so you just had to do your best.

This is not to say that the qualifier will be the same from now on. I do not know.

No idea mate... best to just watch the boards and dive in when you see it. We don't even know yet if Sphinx is throwing a completely new qualifying format at us.

I missed the first one due to absence and only came back online just as Sphinx closed it, so I'm still waiting to register properly despite having raced with a GTP tag for 5 months. Hopefully I'm still giving us a good name...

I haven't used my GTP name online yet ive been waiting to register first, i missed the last one because i was waiting for my G25 to turn up and it was closed again by the time id built my rig.
