You got that right, let the fun begin.
Some say..... the actual fun should start this weekend....
You got that right, let the fun begin.
Mitch I'm happy to see you are achieving your goals, your dedication (and endurance) humbles me. Congrats tough guy!!
Good job Mitch 👍
D2 Silver with just 1h 30min of attempts each track... Nice
GJ everybody.
Thanks Mitch...
Assume you'll only be spending 90 minutes each week then?
D1S That's a bit of an shock. Was aiming for D1B, be cause of my promotion at the end of GT5. Had to learn 2 new track for this qualification and normally it takes a lot of time for me to earn new tracks. So would have bin happy with to continue GT6 where i left GT5. Hope i can keep that up
Thanks to the guys behind the scenes for wrapping this up so fast. One benefit for the team, it's bigger now then back in GT5 with a little less participants. But still very happy that the results are up so soon. Big 👍 to all of you guys, really appreciate it.

Actually, the same goes for you @Matt
It's been said at least twice in this thread, but the first TT should go live this weekend. That's not 100% sure at the moment, but it's looking more likely (thanks to more great work from JB on the leaderboard).
I feel loved! Thanks my friend, appreciate the kind words. I see you are one of the rabbits whom I will be chasing. 👍 Congrats on your achievements as well and look forward to the friendly battles ahead. Stay fast my friend.
To the rest of the WRS Community:
I cannot say enough what this community means to me. Everyone's kind words and support overwhelms me. I can't begin to thank you all enough for all your help and support over the last few years or so, it has meant more to me than you'll ever know. I know it sounds cliché, but its very true....without you all here, It would not have been possible for me to improve as much as I have. This community has made me the driver that I am today, and to that I owe you all a big, sincere, heartfelt THANKS. See you all on the track and look forward to all the fun times ahead.
Stay fast my friends,
Mitch
Great, I can't wait. Really looking forward to getting things started and letting the good times roll!!! (pun intended)
track/car combination. When people use the term "Combo" when referencing an event, are they talking about a set of events or are they speaking of a track/car pairing used in one race/time trial?
Firstly, if you only had "a couple cracks at it" is that representative of how much effort you will be putting into the weekly TT events? It should be - that was a prerequisite of the qualifier.
Secondly, these were deliberately tricky combos chosen to test abilities with 2 opposing sorts of car handling skill. Most everybody struggled in some fashion, except those at the very top - D1G aliens.
Consistency and patience are what matters most when taking on TT challenges like this. You can set your best lap and have no fastest sectors in it at all - next lap you could be up 0.5 and lose it at the next corner. Thankfully, you're in exactly the right place and community to help you achieve that consistency. Participate regularly, patiently observe the laps and techniques of the fastest guys and watch the tenths drop away.
Why would you submit a lap so far off what you could theoretically achieve? I left no more than 2 tenths unaccounted for and that is a fair representation of where I am with almost every combo I run.
That said, you might be surprised at just how big the gap between the D1G aliens and everyone else actually is.
Basically Little cannot improve his time in the official qualifier.
The lap that was clean still stands, the dirty one needs to be redone. If the new lap is slower then the old one, the new and slower one counts.
But if the new one is faster then the old dirty one, the old and slower time still counts. That's the 'penalty' we set for submitting a dirty lap.
This doesn't mean he can't beat you though. If hes faster then you he basically beat you. But he just can't get a higher place in the registry then his initial submission, that's all. But competing in weekly races he'll get promoted and pass you nonetheless judging by his determination 👍
So was one of his entries clean? I thought that he had AS set to something other than "off" for both of them.
