The season starts on Friday. Qualifying will be open from Monday until Thursday at midnight. You will need to send friend requests to these accounts;

Now, you gotta start reading other posts, last years and current GT300 lap times are discussed in great detail on the page right before this. ;)

Really like the mixed class, it was lots of fun. Got lag damage from behind on lap 2 till lap 9. Glad it was on both sides of the rear. It was drivable. Then with 3 laps to go i passed Plc on pit strategy but then on the last lap turn 17-18 barely touched the grass, didn't spin but lost it for a sec. With dirty tire on the last turn I couldn't defend. Nice race.

Sail I hope when you lag into me it didn't mess up your race to bad. But this is why light damage was suggested. I fell it wasn't your fault , but we both got bad damage. Mine was livable though.

Hey Will, I'M pretty sure I didn't lag, I was too late on the brake, unless you saw me lag. Sorry again. No worries, it brought my top speed down big time, had RM on then had to go to RH next lap.
 
So it seems that nobody had the "online race Bug syndrome" :dopey: i guess tha means the problem of racing with more than 12 player was fixed
 
I had slightly more understeer and the lap times were slightly slower when i was running alone.

I prefer the RM tire option compared to SS because I would spend 40% of my race running 4 sec a lap slower.Atleast with RM tires on for a stint I can feel like I am racing since I have almost no chance to beat the 1 stop wheel drivers.With no full course cautions there is no tire combo that can make up a extra 28 sec pit stop.
 
RMs sound good they give you something to use say if youve dropped off the pack due to a spin or got damage on RH then you can use your RMs to great affect by not having to battle and get some nice fast laps in clean air while also being able to dictate your own speed to preserve the tyres aslong as possible :).

We did 13 today in the RX7 league, as far as I could see no bug. :)

Yep no bug. This game keeps surprising me everyday, both negatively and positively. I no longer know what really works and what doesn't. :lol:

BTW rules have been decided and you are allowed to switch to GT300 if you want.👍

There will be an official announcement soon, but for now, here's what you need to know:
1. Everyone may switch conference or class 1 time this season, meaning if you do, you're stuck there for the whole season.
2. Car switching is an absolute no, under any and all circumstances.(obviously with a class change, car must be switched, and depending on the field, you may be forced to change cars if you switch conference, but will not be allowed to unless that car is taken.
3. Anyone that decides to switch a class/conference during the season, will have to forfeit every point they have acquired throughout the season at the point of change.

In short, everybody gets 1, but no unfair advantage will be made of it in any case.

I have already done the switch. Actually quite surprised I was allowed to make the switch with the season so close to start. Going with the Garayia '08. Wanted the RX-7 but it was taken already. :( Im excited, going to feel nice driving something different.
 
I had the online bug last week. 12 drivers, all in the Miata DCL (premium), Nurnburg GP/D.

It was all the usual signs, about 1.5 sec slower per lap, understeer. Very confident we had the bug. BTW, this is only the second time I have experianced the bug. First time at the end of September and now this race.

Then one left after the first race, being down to 11 cars it was all fine.

I will switch to PAL when the official announcement comes out. Less distruction for me on this time slot. Main drawback though is that i will most probably always end up on wait list. :D

The announcement has been made in the race specific thread. Just post here which of the available cars you would like in the pal division and it will become official once litchi is back online. If cant find the cars go to qualifying charts and click the driver reminder list, then on the right hand side you will see the available cars 👍

People will miss announcements in race specific threads, cause they won't expect them to be there. ;)
 
If I can do 1'43.0 in free practice I will be aiming for a 1'43.5 in the qual (preasure).

I would think anything in the 1'43.x will be in the top-6 and maybe 1'44.x will enough for top-12. Pole will probably require a 1'42.x.

Just my two cents

SO this is what I should be aiming at... Time to get practicing :D

Although I could not come close to my qualifying pace until the end of the race when I was light on fuel and on fresh tires. I was consistently 1.5-2 seconds off my qualy pace, and felt a bit different handling. I was by myself for a majority of the race, so I was in clean air for the duration.

As I said, I'm so far off the GT500 pace ATM, I can't tell if I'm affected or not...

Any chance of switching to GT300 and keeping my GT500 car :sly: I might be competitive then :)

JK, I'm looking forward to racing and pushing myself to better my performance with the GT500 drivers. A long way to go, but it's a long season...

How is the ballast system gonna work with pp's?
Or is it a pp reduction instead of weight?

That's 3 question actually :P
The weight will be checked, and PP rating will be taken from the car with ballast.
Example: NSX - 597PP
An NSX with 40KG's ballast will be checked to meet a minimum weight of 1140KG, and just as an example, the PP may drop to 595PP, so the player will also have to meet 595PP as well.
 
Also something that hasn't been added to the OP yet I don't think, is that we'll arrange some basic, short "mock races", where you'll get together with an admin or co-admin, and maybe a few others, to see that you know the proper racing etiquette, to be added to the series.

Sort of a weeding process to make sure we continue to only add the right drivers to the series. Nothing personal to anyone looking to join. :)
