Hey Wardez, i assume the black shade means a DQ? (season 1):

Actually, it denotes the dropped round. For instance: Owens made every race, so he had his two worst finishes dropped (in black).

Other people don't have them because they missed at least two races. Pag finished every race but one.

A Driver must maintain a 4.00 Safety Rating for at least 3 races to be eligible for promotion.
Promotions will be done through Stewards deliberation. Stewards eligible for promotion will be excluded for deliberation.

Once you have started for 4 races and maintained a 2.0 Safety Rating or higher, you're automatically promoted to class D.

The Default Safety Rating is 2.50 if you are a newcomer. Lowest Rating is 0.01 and highest is 5.00
I'm confused.

Other than that, I'm wondering why 4th and 5th don't gain any points, and also possibly 8th, for mixed class races, since they have no shot at finishing higher?

I had this in mind also, actually, here's what i had earlier:

But i found out that it was going to be hard to calculate the season 1 results, so i went with an easier route by just giving the podium finishers points (well rounded numbers too). The current season is already past half way, so that contributed also. SR point rewards will most definitely change in Season 3, the current thought is - reaching 4.0 is a bit easy... might lower the points... but for now, it is what it is. :)

Hi guys!
Just want you guys to know that I wont race in this series anymore.
No hard feelings or anything, it has been a pleasure driving with you guys :)
But my fridays is getting overboked and another series is starting on sundays.

So have fun guys, maybe I'll be back to the next session // Christoffer

That's too bad Swede. You're a crazy good driver. You're welcome back anytime, even if, for any reason, one of your Fridays gets freed up 👍

Bite your lip! Hahahaha as Wardez said. Dropped races.

Kammy, should be on in about an hour or so.

So it's staying above 2.0 for 4 races turn a rookie into Class D, and for any higher class you must maintain 4.0? This is the part I wasn't sure about.

Also, the easy way I can think of to make it harder to "class up" is to remove the +25 for reaching a whole number. 👍

Yeah, that'll do.

I can also take out points for 2nd and 3rd place and leave 1st with just 5 points.

As it stands now, Owens and Ultrap are now eligible for class C promotions (after Suzuka)... but we'll see after i recalculate.

You werent kidding about creating a Citroen GT series! 👍 Is this why you canceled the V8 championship?

Well, that - and i noticed that that there's only about 6-7 core racers in the V8 after the initial launch (14 signed up but most were unsure). Hopefully, this one will be more popular. I can't race in WSGTC since im busy on fridays, so this'll do for the moment :D

Just did my quali:

1st lap was just testing the limits and warming up tyres think i did a 1:22.7.

2nd lap DAMN i was flying UNTILL i came to the last sector and messed it all up ending in a 1:22.443
I think i could of got into the 21s with my lap but dont think it would of beaten chordas lap

I think DENSO are going to sack me at this rate, Any teams looking for a driver for next season LOL

What room are people qualifying in right now?

Is it still Kamy's room?

Put it in the spreadsheet and make the banner green.

I am on this one. ;)
But still couldn't forgive them for what they did to Arsenal. :(

Haha yeah, even Alex Ferguson felt sorry for the slaughter they received, felt a bit of sympathy for them, I'd rather have them as title contenders again than Manchester City..

It's Moleman's room, not in it right now but will get a number on here asap!

EDIT: Room Number 1472-4710-9995-5393-6313

Just left that room but Biffy and Scanny are still there so it should be open still.

Happy with my lap, did a 1:24.8 in practice so a 1:25.1 is good. Tbh I expected pace to be a mid to high 1:25 for front row pace, but Adam's early 1:24.9 in practice this evening meant I had a lot of setup work to do :P Played around with every setup going, then eventually went back to my Nurburgring setup and shifted the brake balance drastically. Hey presto, car handles fine. Struggling with the rear of car still in places but no setup seemed to change that, just having to drive a bit cautiously in places.

Ypu damn aliens make it sound so easy... :yuck:

Guess I know what I'll do tomorrow afternoon...

Just a friendly WSGTC public service reminder about using the race specific thread in order to find, updated, details information on the coming race each week:

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=222816

As always, lease read the entire post carefully, post any questions about track or race details you'd like to ask there, post observed qualifying times there and post or forward all results and details on the race after it's completed.

Thanks 👍

Hope you're supporting Manchester United, otherwise there may be trouble :sly:

I am a FC Porto fan, so its pretty obvious which team I was going for. Too bad it ended in a tie, Man. U started with some bench players. They could have won if they wanted to. lol

Yeah I can, I'll open up a room unless someone else has something open. brb with the #
