This guy started the post off by laughing at shift 2 when he only played it because a friend RENTED IT.

I've avoided getting more involved with this thread but I do want to point out that the friend was my housemate and we've it every night since Monday. Cheers for all the replies though guys I didn't think this post would be such flamebait but it has been entertaining!

I'd come up with something witty but need to get back to my 2400 hr endurance race in GT5 which I'm doing in one sitting, just like the REAL PRO RACES IN REAL LIFE.

Pros dont look at the forums while driving in real life. Well not that we know of.
One thing I will give Shift 2 credit for, the interiors. They are VERY impressive. Probably the best interiors I have seen in any racing game.

Honestly, every game is unrealistic. How? Because you can't crash and have something fly through the window and impale you like a vampire. But thats why we love games right? How we can do things without getting hurt while in real life you would get hurt. Escaping from reality really.

Wow. It's been about a day since the last time I saw this thread, and I come back to find out that not only has it still yet to be locked, but it has also managed to hit three pages of posts relatively unscathed. What was originally over an advertising claim's credibility has turned into mostly a combination of offtopic jokes and arguments over which game is better. Unless you all stay on topic, this thread is essentially lockbait.
