Quality racing guys, unfortunately someone has to take the wooden spoon! Going to put some more hours of testing and practice in this week so hopefully I should be nearer the chase next race! Lack of setup really showed through in the race, p.m me is anybody has good geometry settings for the high speed ring, I've got the gearbox and ride height pretty good,

Ran some laps at High Speed ring with my Rome set-up.

Very looooose, but very fast. Was consistently in the low 1:11's, with the odd 1:10. Tires wore down quickly, but after 12 laps I wasn't noticing much of a difference. In fact, the wear seems to counter whatever oversteer the car had.

This is going to be a fun race this weekend coming up, I played with setting a bit, an I ran a 1:11:283 and that was only 5 lap run, there is going to be a lot of drafting and high speed I can already tell.

Ran 1:11.12 last night on first test session before realising the car was only at 188bhp, altered final drive and went 1:10.989 before ending session and dropping the oil, car back up to 194bhp so tonight should be interesting!!

On a separate note, I am now completely sold on the Acura NSX RM. Was in a free-run room on the Nurburgring, and decided to take it out. It handles amazingly online.

Got a 7:30, at night, with a few cars in my way. Coming from a DS3 user, it was thrilling to say the absolute least.

Awesome. Any idea when the NSX series will start? I'm worried that I'm going to miss some/all of it because I'm going to Japan for five weeks starting August 1st.

Anyone preparing for the La Sarthe race? I'm practicing a bit here and there in hope of being well prepared for the endurance race. My fastest lap so far is 4:23.799. I'm having a lot of trouble setting the rear down force. My back end is too lose in a few corners and I'm spinning out every once in a while from lift-off oversteer. I haven't done much testing to check how significantly straight line speed is effected by rear down force. For example, would increasing the rear down force from 10 to 15 slow you down significantly?

Likely as soon as this is over, so the end of June/ beginning of July. I mentioned a few pages back about how I wanted to expand it to maybe 8 races, as well.

Yup, I ran a 1:10.3xx and I think any more speed would have to be in the tune. Of course with draft we'll probably run 1 flats

Yeah, the key for me will be getting the car stable. Should be reletively easy, but I'll have to do it tomorrow in the midst of what's looking like a busy sked between this, WSGT, and the Cappuccinos.

I think what I'll do is keep the schedule aligned with the Miatas, while putting up practice rooms and having unofficial practice races on weekends.

I'll send messages to regulars who haven't been posting here as well, to get the thread active again.

It won't be very impressive if Wiifreak ends up winning the championship because of these two bonus points. These were supposed to be "non-championship" races. If their results affect the championship then they are not non-championship races. You never stated participation was mandatory for the unofficial practice races beforehand so why are you punishing people who didn't show up? You might as well be subtracting two points per race from everyone who didn't participate.
