There's a chance I might not be able to make it. My dad's going to stay up late today and is using the TV, he's probably going to use it until 2:00AM. I'll see if he's off before then, but if I'm not in the ICGTC lounge 10 minutes before the start of qualy consider me absent. Really sorry.

I didn't expected anything today, But todays race was a joke. At the beginning of the race my car felt super slippy. Other people Just flying around me. The lag was insane. Adam/ADR/Hurley just lagged everywere at times, complete chaos. I hit several people while it actual never happen't for others. At one time Artman and Erik where i think 10 seconds infront of me. Still I had to avoid there lag. Try to do that in the kink.

On top of that Hurley, ADR and netherdragon were behind me the entire race. Pretty dissapointed when the leaderboard change the last lap.

I don't know what happent and didn't happent today.

Quite happy with my result , it will be tough with the ballast for the next 2 races though but the points were needed today .

The dirty air was a killer here and getting clean air was the key to me beating falcon.

Steward report

A few incidents and some illegal blocking was investigated, but we came down to only one thing to penalize this race and it really only was a small racing incident, but the fact that the one to blame took advantage of it was what made us look into it further.

Lap13 (Left turn after the long right hander)

Doc goes up on the inside of Netherdragon and pushes Netherdragon wide and used this opportunity to pass Netherdraon.
Doc does not have sufficient overlap and Netherdragon have corner rights.

From the OLR:

B:
You must establish substantial overlap with the car ahead before they reach the corner’s turn-in point to have the right to drive up their inside, or to expect them to leave inside room for you. At least the front of your car should be up to the driver’s position in the ahead car. The ahead driver has the right to be fully committed to the racing line of their choice without any interference if there was no substantial overlap before he turned in.

As Doc hits Netherdragon on his left rear wheel on turn in it's clear the overlap was not sufficient.

Other things that was looked into was:

Lap 2 Corner 2
Netherdragon hits Hurleyman24 making Hurly go into the wall and losing position, Netherdragon wait for hurley in correct manner and loses a lot of time after a incident he knew he was to blame.
Racing incident and no further action as Netherdragon gave the position back.

Lap 42 Last corner
Falcon tries to block djgonzales on exit of the corner, the move is withing the one move rule, but you are not allowed to move when the car is directly behind you or have already started to overtake

A:
Leading cars have the right to choose their own line down a straight. They can change their racing line once while driving down a straight (Move from the outside line to the inside, or vice versa). As they approach the next corner, they can return to the racing line of their choice However, they're not allowed to change their line when the behind driver is directly behind and changes his line to try and make a pass. If your movement causes an accident, you're responsible.

It didn't affect anyone involved so no further investigation

Lap 43 corner 1

djgonzales touch the rear of Falcons car so Falcon goes wide, on Falcons part we can really feel his frustration on this, but the bump is so gentle and after looking into this from different angles we have seen worse bumps getting away even with no warning. Falcon's rear tyres made this very gentle touch into going wide in our opinion. We can see he gets harder bumps earlier in the race with no consequences.

Forgot to mention one thing in the report. No penalty, no warning (because it's not in our rules) but information.

djgonzales was seen flashing his light when being behind cars he wanted to pass.

As this game doesn't have flags we use the light flashing as a blue flag, I know blue flag means a faster car behind, but we are allowed in ICGTC to fight for position as long as we aren't lapped. Being on a different tactics is allowed and you are allowed to fight for position even if you are slower than the car behind.

Being lapped however is a different story, so if you gain on a lapped car it's allowed to flash your lights.

We have found this useful in the past and it's something we will keep doing.

Anyway a really good race by everyone, it's a track I actually expected more incidents and everyone keeps impressing me on how clean they are. To bad we had to penalize one guy, because it wasn't really dirty. But that's racing, if he would have let the car he "snowplowed" to the side, pass him back that incident would have been overlooked by the steward team. Sportsmanship takes you a long way.

Fastest lap: IMMORTALPILOT (lap 24. 1:36.166) Go watch, how this guy can keep the speed through the corners amazes me. And remember this guy had 60kg of ballast!!

Now let's see how the weather will be next weekend.. Suzuka in the rain is always interesting

I got to say my teammate did a great job coming thru the field yesterday , well driven Hurley to get that 5th place .

Suzuka is tough and ill need a lot of practice to get fast here.

Thank you, consistency goes a long way and I have seen that in the first two races.

Immortal is fast as usual , I dont think he would have had it so easy at Tokyo with Marco and Nissman there , Falcon and I were racing each other and that made Immortal pull away. He beat me by 11 seconds , thats not too bad in human to alien comparison

I'm not 100% on this week. My Grandad is coming over from Greece and we're having a bbq for him with the whole family round. So it might be tough to get an hour and a half away from everyone.

Yeh Suzuka and Laguna Seca were my bad races last season 10th place in both , I'm no fan of the rain but I'm hoping to do better this time around.

I got a new headset today so hopefully that should make life easier.

If I could get rfactor for free I would try but I already am having trouble with iracing money let alone money for rfactor.
