Here's the highlights of the second race of the league I'm running in, managed to get a second place again. Had some connection problems that day, that's why my car blinks at times:



With that result I'm tied with another driver in first place for the championship, with two more rounds to go. Next tuesday we'll be racing in Charlotte's Road Course.
 
Ok, here's the results from the GTP Touring Car Cup pre-season race:

I may have finished second, but I didn't run that well in the race. First time in the Jetta and first time on Brands Hatch. Not consistent at all and had one off in turn 1. I ran the Jetta on a few other tracks after the race and felt alot more confident behind the wheel. Brands Hatch is just tough in the Jetta for me at least.
 
It is quite a tricky car to drive, totally different dynamics than any other car in the service. Some close and fun racing though!

I'll try to get my Class C license this week since the Skip is running in Lime Rock. But only after the private league's race tonight though, got to focus on Charlotte for now.

I still dont quit understand how point are being accumulate in the iracing championships.
I remember i was once leading the MX5 series and then suddenly i finished 6th overall.

Just as an advice, stay away from Limerock! It's an SR killer!!

VIR was the killer for me. I was 10 points away from getting my B, the VIR came and I dropped like 90 points, and over 300 on my iracing level. The first run on Limerock wasn't any better though. I had the pole, went into the first turn on the inside. My spotter said someone was on my right side and I was against the inside of the turn. I pulled left quick and then someone was on my left. I ended up in the wall and the race was over for me, before I even got through the first turn. For some reason my spotter went crazy and decided to try and kill me. At least I somehow didn't take anyone out with me. Hopefully tonight is better.

Yeah, the second part of the double right is just impossible to see, and so difficult to judge the turn. Still 2:11.9 fastest lap on my first time around the track wasn't too bad.
 
Haha I tried it too, jumped into a race the first time on the track, did ok, followed people's lines, came off track a few times though.

Managed a 2:10.x but it was an sr killer although I expected it since my first time.

Just ran an mx5 race, kind of disappointed towards the end though, 5 people rage quit so there was only 4 of us left, ended up winning but didn't feel like it.

Thank's man! Will certainly try to improve and go for the win tonight since I got colleced on someone's mistake on lap 1 on Monday's race wich left me 32 seconds behind the leaders on a race I had the pace for a 3rd place finish...

I like Lime Rock, it's tricky but fun. Charlotte's road course is harder in my opinion. Raced there last night and almost managed to win the race. I got the pole and I was leading during 22 laps until the driver in second tried to overtake me and we hit. I went to the wall and broke the front suspension, race over. :(

But it was fun and I'm still in third in the championship so I'm happy. Next week it's the last race of the league, we will race in Summit Point.

Man I love Limerock, but what I love about the track is also what makes it an SR killer! It's a high speed madness lap with just 1 passing spot, problem is that if you start anywhere but the front 2 rows you are not gonna win by being patient and then all hell breaks loose!!
 
Imagine what they run there in real life then Jav :)
3 different classes, from GT´s to Prototypes in insane speeds!

They do however use the chicane (our version is a bit dated)

I personally love Lime Rock but it seems when it comes to faster cars, not many do :)
Especially in multiclass. I see it as a challenge and feel it´s in some ways easier then multiclass on Mosport for example.
 
Man I'd love to do a LMP/GT race there!! We do have the chicane on our version! I've done a few laps arround there on the Honda and it is insane!!
 
No that´s the old Chicane :)

It´s a bit different and there is one at the turn after but for 2011 i don´t remember them using the second chicane.

Yeah the chicane on up hill turns in earlier and is almost like chicane S's. Then the turn between uphill and downhill is also now a chicane. Pretty sure they changed it to cut speed into downhill since they have so many crashes there
 
I'll be back home on Sunday with my new computer all ready to max iRacing :). I'm going to pick this game up again and hopefully race without frequent freezing and lag. Rank ups here I come!
