Hey, congrats to everyone that had been jonesing for the F40! Was it everything you dreamt it would be? I just stripped a bunch of weight off of my third and am going for a low-weight/moderate power build as something new to shake-up Sardegna for a few races, though the tune is not perfect to put it lightly, lol. Really doesn't like braking, or should I say it prefers to brake by slamming itself into the barrier! Feel like this should be easy to tune out but I'm having issues...

Been saying this since launch! They've got the 930, 964, 993. They've got the old 356 variants, the old Carrera Speedster, and even have their second major super car in the Carrera GT. Give me the 959! And throw in the 919 Spyder for good measure... And a 911 GT2 for god's sake! lol

Unless the physics have changed since my experience with the F50 Super License at Monza, the F40 handles incredibly as stock - better than I remember the F50 (back stepped out very easily and quickly, again, unless physics were altered - which is possible as my Diablo GT and Countach now feel amazing after being barges originally).

F40 - not even being a 4-month yearning fanboy - is beautiful stock. I was fearful it would disappoint (based on my general Ferrari experiences with the Berlinetta, F50, FXXK amongst a couple of others stepping out/twitchy rears) but wow, I'm gonna leave it completely stock - I'm so happy it hasnt disappointed.

Either that or taming and tuning the RX-787 has taught me to control the back end better (I don't think so though).

Pretty sure I didn’t pay anywhere near that much for the F40 first time round (money was tight back in those days).

PD and Haggerty obviously been reading all the posts asking where it is and jacked the price up - supply and demand, inflation in a video game, what a world.

433/433 at last with the F40. I guess now time to actually play the game, hah.
Although building up a 100m bank to avoid grinding anytime soon and not soon if PD won't be adding any 20m cars with next updates is something I'll probably do anyway. Got 50m now after buying two F40s, so it won't take too long.

Now the F40 has appeared I'm thinking that the Alpine and the Porsche 962 may have swapped places. That would put the Alpine appearing again around 14th July... just a thought...

I just bought it..... and think I wasted 2.6 million credits. Took it for a lap at LeMans - what a gas guzzler! Not sure it will win the WTC700 there but will try later.

Most of the road cars on that race go through a tank of gas in 2 laps tops when you floor them on FM1 (apart from 787 swapped RX7 obviously).

Try fine tuning it to PP700 and drive it on FM5 or FM6, short shift on half bar and you will be good. In my experience, even 2 laps on FM1 is ok because most of the time the rain comes at the end of lap 2, so then I pit for inters/wets, switch to FM6 and short shift through the rain. When it stops, back to the pits, racing hards and full throttle on FM1 until the end. If anything, it's fun and interesting.

Even if the rain doesn't come, these tuned road cars are so much quicker down the straight compared to the Gr4 cars that you can easily win the race even with 3 stops, you build up enormous advantage lap by lap.
