Legendary cars dealer refresh

The F1 GTR is different to the street F1...it most likely won't be worth as much...
Depends on how they approach it. Given that the F1 GTR in the game is officially recognized as the "Kokusai Kaihatsu UK Racing '95" example, that car is worth much, much more. In certain car circles, it's been reported the factory has turned down $40m+ offers for it specifically.

Do you recall how many Collector Points you got when you received the car?
Oh man. That’s a good question. I’m not going to lie, but I didn’t notice my collector level change at all. Maybe I’m just not very observant!

I guess you can add this one to the list.

I was given the following car for being a Hagerty member. I am a McLaren F1 fan (I even own the book “Driving Ambition” by Gordon Murray, Ron Dennis, and Doug Nye) and was looking forward to having one of these in the game at some point. Given my schedule and responsibilities grinding for one was impossible and paying for one was out of the question.

Being given this car sort of contradicts the reasons given by the developer for the values. I was given this car by virtue of who my insurance carrier is. Some may recall my thoughts on this in another thread. How much will this cost when it goes in the Legendary car dealer?

I appreciate Hagerty for this opportunity of course, but I hope Polyphony addresses complaints so it is easier for others to enjoy their dream cars as well.
Won't surprise me if a so called Hagerty Finance existed in game where you will experience the financial crippling monthly payments for your most desired car in game as well as real life. Kaz sure be providing a close to reality experience.

Hagerty is an Insurance company though, not a lending service...

Yes, but the F1 GTR racecar will most likely cost much less than the 18.5m the street car commands.
Actually, the F1 GTR in this game is the one example that won the 24hr Le Mans, the Kokusai Kaihatsu model.

If anything, this car is even rarer and more desirable than the Road Car, and it likely would take a ridiculous amount of money for McLaren to actually sell it to anyone.

So, just expect the worse at 20 million credits. Not to mention that this Mclaren is the best Gr.3 car in the game (not taking BoP into consideration ofc).

Well... unlike buying or winning cars, gifts like this don't trigger the Collector Point animation. It just silently increases in the background.

If you're able to screenshot your garage or list the cars you have in some way, I can probably work it out.

McLaren F1 switched to limited stock, nothing else new.
I’m very curious to see what replaces it in the shop and how long we’ll be waiting for the GTR version to show up. Still boggles the mind that the F1 showed up so early into the games life cycle, if it is meant to be ‘end game’ item (as the price would suggest). Would also be interesting to know whether it is a manual/curated selection or if it is simply random.

No such as 'end game' when you can purchase in game currency in big quantities but will of course cost a pretty penny.

I'm guessing it is going by theme as in the past week there has been a heavy Le Mans prototype-GT influence as compared to the first day release when we had the Alfa 155 DTM and the Supra JGTC car etc. But this could be coincidence. Hopefully, it settles down once the F1, 917K and C9 goes and the Pennzoil Skyline JGTC comes around.

Guess it has to be the F1 to buy then.
And hopefully the 917k stays for 3 more days so I can buy it as well.

Unless something even better replaces the F1.

Sure I would be happy to. I’ll grab that and PM you.

I bought the Mangusta on Wednesday and it's quite hairy to drive. It slides everywhere and barely has any grip on Comfort Medium but that's part of the fun. It actually feels like an old car on old tyres which is really refreshing considering how grippy old cars were in GT Sport.

Sauber C9 out of stock
Mangusta limited stock
Porsche 917K limited stock

Nothing new.

Wow, Mangusta limited stock already? I wonder if there are a set number of ‘stock’ they have available for sale in addition to the rotation mechanic. Like if it sells over a certain amount it leaves the shop sooner. If not, it just rotates out after a set number of days.

Plus the F1 is limited stock, we could potentially see 4 new cars in there tomorrow night

Only out of stock cars get replaced, so next up we’ll see something taking the spot currently occupied by the Sauber C9.
I'm counting on the Mangusta selling out as well, because it's cheap. The 2 - 18 million cars probably take another day, so, maybe 2 sat, 2 sunday night.

No, cars aren’t getting replaced immediately after being on limited stock. First they need to sell out and remain greyed out for 24 hours. That’s why we’ll only see the Sauber C9 getting replaced tomorrow. It’s a cumbersome process, but it has been the pattern so far.

These are what we've observed so far;
  • initial release to limited stock: 3-5 days
  • limited stock to sold out: 2 days (no exception)
  • sold out to new cars: 1 day (no exception)
You're counting on something that has never happened before.

Wolder if the Miura will go up in price. Even though the XJ13 dropped, I’d gather the Lamborghini is a bit more sought after.
Hard to say. Hagerty value the production 1967 P400 at up to 1.3M USD, they haven't valued the Bertone prototype. I would guess it comes in around 2.5-3M credits, so a big reduction on the GT5-S price, but it's really hard to decide on a real world valuation when it's never been sold on IRL. It was bought new in 1966 by J.W. Marriott and hasn't been sold since.

So, it's not based on actual sales then and instead, just a set time table, ....don't know if i like that,...
