That’s exactly why it’s one of the 3 cars I don’t have in the game even though I have the money to buy it. I really don’t see it being useful or practical anywhere as of current, and I don’t even think it looks that good to have as a piece to look at. Since there is no reward or trophy for collecting all cars I’m good not having it in my collection or garage. If it becomes part of an extra menu then I’ll get it just to collect the reward.
I used it recently for some old-timers race. Pretty fun with that cockpit view!

Need to double-check the list, but after buying the MP4/4 I think I'm down to 6 remaining. Unfortunately 4 of them are 20 million CRs each:

Shelby Daytona Coupe
Ferrari 250 GTO
Mercedes-Benz 300 SL (W914)
Mercedes-Benz S Barker Tourer
Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B Touring
Chaparral 2J

Only after the first 3 to be honest. Don't really want the fridge, and I know that technically I could get it for free by learning to drift, but may grab it next time just to mark it as done. Hopefully the others don't appear for a while (I know the Shelby was just there) and I can naturally build up the bank balance from TTs and GTWS - can't face the grind at the moment.

Short of, short shifting, fuel saving and all that stuff might be helpful in real life but when it is about GT series ........... the floor is the limit.
As about turns ...... road , grass, fence ,wall , anyway ,whatever comes first 🤣

Serious now , fuel mapping ,tyre wear x 3 x 23 x 33x 103 and all that stuff just make things more complicated, you have to make a compromise against " this " or " that " all the time.
Usually our lives are an endless compromise race against many things, usually against people and situations that we have to face every day .
Sometimes you need to breathe freely, to do " your thing " without the need to choose.

I wish someday to swap fuel tanks instead of engines or special parts , it would be more useful as the game it is .
Refueling 3 times in 7 lap race can't stand even as a bad joke .
Yesterday running the 911 i was surprised from the feeling of the car and how smooth was ,after first lap , watching the fuel inticator i felt like someone want to revenge me for buying it .
2 laps fuel ?
Are you serious now ?
Something is going very wrong in the Danimark kingdom.

I refuel only once at the end of 4th lap (FM6) and won this race very easily each time with my Nissan GT-R '18.

But I agree completly, any race car in GT7 should be able to complete 7 laps (+/- 95 kms) without refueling.

Since I play on Sport mode (TT and Daily races), I've almost stopped grind-like-a-famous-greek-billionaire

I'm skipping these two, not that interested in so old cars, only cars from the 50's and newer, but I will buy the '32 Ford Roadster... maybe I will buy the Alfa if not that expensive.

Edit.

Alfa is 20 mill... so no, I'm not buying that either.

Highly recommend the Ford. Great fun. Will buy another when it turns up to do the engine swap.

I found the nice AMG Black series and a tuned up 458 are GREAT to drive at Le Mans, but are terrible as gas mileage goes. My “go-to’s” for Le Mans are a tuned Ford GT, and a Praiano-tuned R34. That one will do 4 laps on racing mediums! Even on FM6, you still can easily win with a smooth, sticky ride. Love it!

Only problem with the GT1 is not being able to lighten it. That would work wonders for its performance to match its racing version rivals.

Nor can the aerodynamics be adjusted either.

Given PD’s affinity for Porsches now that they can use the license again, I think the 1998 Le Mans winning GT1 will be DLC eventually.

Dying here waiting for the McLaren F1 GTR in my garage!

Only been playing GT7 for 3 months.
May I ask which version of the F1 GTR your waiting for?

The 95 F1 GTR or the 97 F1 GTR?

Cause the 95 F1 GTR was in the LCD not that long ago but the 97 F1 GTR should be coming up really soon just make sure you have at least 12M credits.

I just wanted to clarify is the 911 GT1 not able to do 3 laps of Lemans on FM6 in 700pp spec? If so what kinda power is it making and is it the aero that hurts the fuel mileage? I’m just wondering why a much larger naturally aspirated engine like the McLaren F1 can go 3 laps flat out or 4 laps with some management but the 911 can’t with a smaller turbocharged engine?

It’s a slightly complicated deal when it comes to fuel economy in game, some cars/engines either sip or guzzle fuel and it gets even more complicated when you add engine swapped cars with race engines in them to the equation.

For example, both the 904 GTS and the Toyota Crown with the SC430 GT500 swap can easily no stop the Tokyo 600 event and have tons of fuel left over despite one being a small Flat 4 and the other being a race bred V8.

And yet if you take something like a Lancer Evo round that event, you’ll finish with a whole lot less fuel left on board.

Now all cars in game IIRC are equipped with 100 litre fuel tanks so fuel tank size isn’t an issue, it’s purely down to the efficiency of the Car/engine combo.

Apparently not if you run an automatic transmission but I can get to 3 laps by shifting around 7300 RPM without issue.

The ‘97. The 95 one is not in the same class as the GTR Race Car. I got the 95 from the legends. I’m very fond of the ‘97 version from GT5, love everything about it.

Also patiently waiting on the CLK-RM. Another smooth killer from Gr. 2.

They lost the license? When? 😲

Those two are very cool, but are absolutely useless in game. Should have been prize cars.

Nope on the fuel tank. Race cars have whatever they are supposed to have. Quite a few cars have a fuel number on the display so you can see this.

All cars have a 100 litre fuel tank. You can see this most clearly by refuelling the car in the pits - which takes:

[100 - current fuel load]/[refuelling rate in litres/second]

... seconds to do.

Quick example, I set the refuelling rate to one litre per second and it took... 100 seconds to fill the new Mercedes-AMG GT3 up from empty, giving a 100-litre tank.

The real car is 106 litres (for the endurance tank) and the dash display claims 73 litres. But in GT7 it has a 100-litre tank, like every other car in the game.

It dosen't say Litres in my game, but % when refuling, 100% is full tank.
It says litres on the refuelling rate, not the fuel tank.

100 seconds at one litre per second is 100 litres.

Ferrari F50 is here!!!
Is it worth it??
2nd choice for purchase Maserati with Plymouth!!
It's possible to do Le Mans 700 in it though the handling is abit 'floaty' for lack of a better word and it sounds and looks good IMO. Upgrade visual options are pretty poor on it though but if you're a fan of the F50 then it's worth it I think.

F50 is wonderful, first car I bought twice. Fully tuned it with hit 11,000 RPM. With bolt on parts you can clear the 700PP Lemans race with ease though I agree it’s not the most efficient competitor it’s still a lot of fun and sounds amazing

How many laps can do at lemans the F50 before refuel and at what FM mode?
Am asking because the latest Porsche 911 can't do more than two even at FM6 and was a huge disappointment in that area.
