Wowbagger; You can drive some (or all) of those in Liscense Tests and Missions

Do you guys think they started selling the CLK LM because they're prepping to do a Gr2 race next week?
I hope so!!! I adore Gr2 events. I have already bought 3 gr2 cars (2 Nissans and CLK LM). I don't know what is the best gr2 car yet. Maybe Nissan (pp 850+) is better then CLK LM (pp830+). I finished 4 wtc800 events by CLK LM today and i will compare my best lap time with Nissan.

Preference wise, maybe, maybe not. But, based on what influences the pricing, C9s are worth much less than the CLK GTR/LM examples.
You're the one that follows exotic pricing, right? Any idea why a Group 3 wouldn't fetch as much as an LMGTP? Going to go out on a limb and guess that it's due to the Sauber, et al being a tube chassis, engine, and an aerodynamic skin whereas the CLK is loosely based on an actual road car, meaning it would be easier to make it street legal? Am I even close?

@Volksauto I believe you missed the original '69 Z car (not sure if it's a Datsun or a Nissan but I'm pretty sure it was pictured in the LCD)

@sixty4half That would be great if they were bringing Gr. 2 content, but I think it's more likely we're seeing a price drop due to the backlash from the economy. Hopefully both are true

I mean, aside from there being less CLK LMs built, you can see part of the reason in this topic as well. There were a lot more people excited for the CLK being available compared to when the Sauber was available.

Part of that is down to the fact the C9 was in Sport and the CLK wasn't. That is a factor for me, for sure.

Hi, friends.!I think CLK LM NOT WORTH 6.2MIllions. I'm CRAZY GRINDER, now have 18.000.000 cr.(want buy more cars possible), but for that car.... thinking save my credits for 787B or Jag, or Nissan 91CP,or Bentley gr. 1 cars(some of them may be count for 3 leg cars trophy)... And this cars a way better than CLK LM imo. Sauber C9(Love that car)
Immediately buy it when pops in LCD. With this BEAST i beat all PP 800 races first try with no refuel!!! And important - Price is a half of CLK LM.
P. S I hope they add in time CLK DTM TOURING CAR( one of my best favourite cars in GT 5-this car i will buy it for sure)... No matter how much it costs!!!! Cheers fellas!

By the way, 2-3 days ago i hit 20.000.000cr and I decided to try one or two races and after that-my credits up than limit????? For a short time I had 20.125.000cr. This is a bug or so???? Soon i will hit again 20.000.000 and i will continue to drive and will see what happened!I will post for that info!!! Cheers!

Yes, sounds a bit digital to me. The car sounds warmer and thicker in real life, more like a rally car.

The one in GT7 is running the Le mans spec Sauber based engine instead of the FIA spec V8 hence why it sounds different even though the paintjob is from the FIA car albeit running the wrong wheels. I would have much preferred the FIA Spec engine sound aswell but it doesn't sound too bad IMO.

How many days does a car stay available for? I'm more than 4 million away from the CLK, but with massive grinding I may make it :D

It sounds really low at Le Mans, so I'm not so sure about this.

There's two CLKs...

There's the CLK-GTR and the CLK-LM. One has a V12 the other has a V8. The one in the game is the LM which has a V8 which is also the one that raced at Le Mans.

Watching those videos... Really makes me miss how this game doesn't have the Viper Team Oreca and the Toyota TS020 GT-One, and the Panoz.

Yes, and after it raced at Le Mans they did something with the V8 engine which made it sound very different, but the same as in the Goodwood videos.

When the CLK LM in GT7 is running stationary and very low speed, it sounds a lot like the one in the Goodwood videos though. But the one in GT7 at full throttle it sounds a bit robotic to me.

This is the first car i want that I've seen come up which I can't afford. Cant be bothered (and don't have time) to grind to 6M+ credits to buy it just to see the 787 or 155 come up next.

Really need that april update with increased payouts soon.

I think that plays a factor; street cars are a far easier thing to sell collectors on than race cars which can need special teams & training to run them on a track day.

In this case, I would guess the CLK goes for more just because it became a significant car in Mercedes' history. They're a bit of 90's supercar icon alongside the F1, Diablo, F50, etc (been in all sorts of games & books to build fans). Then, it has the Super Sport & Roadster which had its own unpleasant history, the GTR being recalled as the most expensive car of its era, its links to the LeMans flip w/ the CLR or that lesser known, its relationship to the McLaren F1 as a competitor whilst it also used Chassis #11R as a secret test bed before giving back to McLaren. Add in that the race cars are much rarer & the road cars are just prettier versions of them at their core, any variant of the CLK GTR is basically well sought after by collectors above most Mercedes.

Ah, that makes a lot more sense than what I had in my head, lol. Thanks for the info!

they changed the 20 million cap its higher now

Because you have 9800 credits left of some paid credits (pre-order bonus?).
The cap is still 20,000,000 for 'free credits' (credits you earn in-game), that will change later in the year to 100 million. 'Paid credits' are unlimited.
Ah, good catch! I just figured it was bugged out somehow. I bought the game like 4hr before it launched so I think I did get the pre-order credits. Definitely got the Porsche 917, GT500 Supra, and RX-Vision Mazda

Edit: Are you serious about paid credits being able to go above 20mil?! I'd heard that before but thought people were just being facetious!
