❤️Thank you Guys❤️! took your info and put in a few hours of this TT. Im happy and very infuriated all at once. Got my time down to 9:20:620!!!!! UUHHGG knocked down 7 seconds from my last best time but still not good enough for gold. And it seems that now i can't even stay with my ghost. Some of the turns i have no idea how i went thru them so fast. The more i kept trying the worse i got. I ended up calling it a night. Goin to have to give it a try 2mrw.
You can forget your ghost, it's very easy to loose or make time all aroud the track, i mean if you are 2 secs behind your ghost you can still make better time on rest of the track.

And don't get me wrong, it's usually good thing to have referense points tru the lap, but since theres so many places to recover, it's only gonna make you nervous when you see your ghost so far ahead, or behind. Thats the main reason I usually never use the previous day ghost, if it's not so fast it's useless, and if it's very good time im gonna get mad really soon trying to copy yesterdays result and it's really easy to get frustrated, just try to make clean lap and the results will come to you!

Maybe that means you are trying too much, being over aggressive with this type of car and tires will only result in slower cornering speed. I did 9:06.039, 2 secs faster than my previous time, and i was more conservative.
I am sure you can make gold, forget about your ghost for a couple of minutes and concentrate on your driving.

Another improvement, down from 9:19.757 to 9:18.126.

Yep, in front of Cargo at the moment.

edit......But wait, there's more. Just for good measure I tried another lap straight away and took another few tenths off.
Now on 9:17.524.

Congrats, you must feel proud. Like I said, I'm only interested in Gold in this one. Take the cheap win, it may help your ego.

8 days left but i think you might have done me now but i will keep trying:cheers: :) :gtpflag:

Whenever I race online on the 'Ring, I always do poorly, not sure if it's me, the car, or just being off. Now I can confirm it. A 9:36.129 on my first full lap. I might look at some of the best lap times in the leader boards because I'm clearly doing something wrong. I decide not to run over those dodgy apie (?) and, as the lap progressed, I got more conservative, and more prone to making mistakes getting all tensed up.

Are the top players posting times in the 8:40's even playing the same game, or are they all reincarnations of Anakin Skywalker in Sebulba's podraces? Seriously? Struggled massively to gold this one, and I can't see for the sake of anything how there's over 30 seconds to be made... Bleh. I guess I'll stick to my day-job.

Oh, and thanks for the vids, GTP_Ezza - kind of like showing a replay of Messi scoring a free-kick, and expecting to do the same ;)

Hi there, hope these replays help with golding the time trial.

I was giving this TT another go, and realised I had tonnes of time still out there. Now it's just a matter of finsihing the bloody lap! It seems a lot harder to finish it this time around.

Oh, and as for the temperature changing during day time, I did notice that there is a dash to the left of the steering wheel which shows the temperature at the time.

Thanks for sharing this, 👍 has anyone verified if it also works for the seasonal?

I haven't tried it yet myself but I'll give it a shot hopefully tonight. :)

EDIT: just tried this in the TS030 TT and can confirm it works. But if you sign back in while you're driving then as soon as you finish the lap and come back to the event pre-race screen and go back in, they're back. You could stay signed out but then you have to wonder if you'll be able to sign back in and register your lap. :scared:

Yes it does, I have been using this technique for months. One thing to watch out for is, don't change the ghost lap you use before you log back on and register your time, if you do you may get a failed to register message. You can back out and change driving options and car settings but, it seems the lap resets if you the change ghost lap.

8:58.716 using a manual transmission. I am still awful using it but, I can see lots of places here where it helps.

Thanks, I really appreciate the follow-up. 👍
I will update the OPs for Seasonal TTs when I get time, sure it will come in handy for many. :)

Cheap win? Rather ungracious of you old son.
I previously brought you into the conversation because of our long standing rivalry, and especially due to the fact that you once claimed (on another thread) I would never be able to beat you.
Fact is, even when you did beat me here I was ahead of you for half the race. But times have changed mate and you are not the benchmark here, sorry if that lets some air out of your tyres.
But I want you to have another crack at this one (ha ha, I'll bet you're already doing so) and see if you can overtake me. Cheers.

Doesn't let any air out of my tires at all, never claimed to be the benchmark here....I think that would have been you who made me the benchmark, I had nothing to do with it. But, the very fact that you mention me in your post clearly shows that you are chasing my times. At any rate, I clearly stated that I was only after the Gold on this one anf if I felt like it, I might take another stab at it if you moved ahead. Well, you have moved ahead and I still don't feel like running it again, so, congrats on the cheap win. Because, when/if I give it a honest 100% effort, that's all it is for you, a cheap win. You don't see me celebrating just because I beat some of the faster drivers than me do you when they only give it a half assed effort....no because it doesn't really matter to me because I know they are way faster than me. I would rather earn a victory than have one given to me.....you, apparently not so much.

Sure mate, wink wink, nod nod. But what do we see here, oh no, not those dreaded 'excuses' you so often espouse, ha ha.

Yeeeeaaaa, I don't need excuses. I think I have proved time and time again who is the undisputed king here between you and I. Anytime I feel like it, all I have to do is shift gears and send you home with your tail between your legs. Matter of fact, now that you have got my dander up, I may just do just that. :sly: Like I said before, don't poke sticks at snakes, or in this case rats , you'll get bit. :P

Gotcha!
I should add, we don't poke sticks at snakes here in OZ, we break their backs with them, or, on the odd occasion, grab them by the tail, swing them over your head and crack their head off like when using a whip.
So no chance of getting bit here, but thanks all the same for the advice.

Good to have some fun banter with you again "D", maybe we should stop now though, not everybody is amused by this. 👍 Seriously though, I'll give this another try tomorrow to see what I can do, I'm running the WRS event right now.
No worries Cargo, all good mate.
PS, see if you can catch my ghost within the first 4 minutes or so.;)

Didn't have a chance to try again today. Just wanted to say thank you for the support and the helpful tips:P
Next time i have another go at it i will pretend I'm doing it for the first time. i will be patient and relax. No ghost! well, maybe some COD Ghost, But thats a different story:P
Thanks! xo⛄️xo

A couple of things to report. Had another try earlier and two things happened worth mentioning.
1st, I could not load my ghost 'again', in fact none of my ghosts were there when I went to load my latest one. And, there were no friends ghosts (blue lines) and I wasn't able to click them up on the track.
2nd, I did two complete laps one after the other (previously have only completed 4 or 5 since I started a few days ago) but only managed 9:19 as I did not know where I was in relation to my best time (ghost line). Usually I quit if I'm over 1/2 a sec or so behind and start again.

did a couple of laps this am, no improvement so far but as dalone said no ghosts. On lap 3 i crashed, so sat there working out what i did wrong (was a good lap up until that point) when 7 seconds later blue lines started going past???

I had the blue lines appear at 3:55 into the race when zona99 and Stewyripper went past me like I was standing still so there may be glitch somewhere on this TT about the blue lines why are they appearing during in the race and not at the start.

No no no, on the contrary, nothing is more amusing than pointless internet argument over absolutely nothing :D

Why don't we make things little bit more interesting whit a little bet? I mean first of all Dalone makes a sub 9 min. lap, and at the latest that point @GTP_CargoRatt HAS to start grinding to win @Dalone or Dalone gets the bragging rights. Or if Dalone never makes it sub 9 min. he'll just shuts up about the whole matter :D

By the way, how do I get those blue things on to their names?
