I will give this one a miss because I can only concentrate on these TTs for a few minutes.

Well, this is the best place to improve on that :)

And after you done some grinding on 10 min. track, those under 2 min. TT's feels like a walk in a park, atleast for sometime.

I done this once it took me over 10 minutes and my brain said you can not concentrate anymore because it is far to long for this TT so it time to move on.

Why oh why must I keep trying then?
9'37 in second try with a big spin out; 9'22 a few tries later.
That was 4 days ago... I can't complete the goddamn track anymore, I manage to be 4 secs in front but always make an error :ouch:
GREAT job Polyphony putting disqualifier in, I've learned the first 50% of the track well, but not the end thanks to that bright idea.

yep, that pirata666 and prasinar guys keep beating each other whenever I check the leaderboards.

Yeah it ain't nothing easy to learn track this long this way. Try doing some laps in freerun mode in some nice car, after you start to have some idea how to flow tru the track whit some momentum, try it again.

And yeah, it's really hard to comprehend how those top guys do it, I mean i could find couple seconds on PB but still wouln't be even no were near them.

:yuck::yuck::yuck:AHHHHHHH WHY!!!!
Previous best time - 9:20:640
New best time - 9:20:134!!!!!!!
Great, another 50 more DQ's until i complete a clean Lap... hopefully 0:00:134 faster. UGH!
Well at least it a very good sing you made it so close twice allready. And just believe me when I say you are getting faster and faster, it's not just so easy to see from where you are standing.

👍

Why don't you try this track in free run mode it will help you to learn the whole track without dq's, hope this helps you.👍 :):):):) 👍 :gtpflag:

❤️Thank you for the support guys! Fortunately my roommate got gold so at the least we have the money and the paint color you win. I will try free run mode instead next time.

Is the seasonal version of the Lexus just the same lexus we have but with zero tuning or parts bought?

I don't think you understand or apparently haven't been around long enough. It is absolutely no problem in beating Dalone at any given time....I've proved this point over and over again, end of story.
Contrary to your boasting Cargo there have been some close calls, and I don't think you were ever able to beat me when we used to race at the lowest possible PP in some Seasonal Events in GT5.

Really don't know about the car, but what ever car you choose, nürburgrin especially that original nordschleife section is THE BEST (at least IMO) track to hone your skill. And after you start to feel like you start to get familiar whit this track, other tracks aren't that hard to learn!

And just keep in mind that you're dealing whit absolutely the hardest track in game and probably in world. And like someone said, first 100 laps you spend learning the track and rest of your life trying to master it!

EDIT: And also keep in mind that what works for me or someone else might nor work for you, so these advices are just something to consider, if it doesn't feel good, try to work out something that you are more comfortable doing and develop from there. And just try to make it fun for your self, I mean you're the one who you are playing the game for, right? :D

Just an idea for anyone having trouble, there are enough straights at Nurburgring to break the track down to small three or four corner segments.
You can run a segment then pause the run and look up at the map to familiarize yourself with what corners are coming next.

Really good tip, those GT5 amg driving academics were priceless when it comes to learning Nurburgring!!!

Give it a rest Dalone.....to put it bluntly, I can beat you anytime I feel like it, everyone here knows that. Call it boasting, bragging or whatever you want. Fact of the matter is, I'm a much better driver than you. You keep wanting to count the times when I just put in a mediocre effort to get Gold as close and that just isn't a good comparison. Let me put in a good, 100% effort and I will bury you, every time. So enough already, take your ass whippings and stop making excuses. And as far as your little lowest possible PP games, I was never interested in doing it that way and you know it, that's just you blowing more smoke trying to bait me into something I have absolutely no interest in. You are really starting to make these Seasonal threads un-enjoyable for me and am seriously thinking of just staying away. I don't need your bs.

To everyone else: Again, my apologies for the bickering. I know it takes two to argue therefore I will just take myself out of the equation at this point. Have fun with the Seasonals and remember, never give up, you can always do better. Stay fast everyone. Peace.

I hope you mean it this time. I'm here to read about the seasonal event--not your endless pissing match. Seriously, get a room.

I had wheel session with my new Wheel Stand Pro last night (quite an improvement over the old too low and wobbly coffee table), so tried out this and the LM/Sarthe TT as I have no intention of driving them with the DS3.

I'm familiar with the 'Ring now, but not good enough to get really good lines and carry speed. I was not confident with the car due the understeer and found I wasn't going any faster than a 450pp/SH car through quite a lot of corners :dunce:. Several DQs and 2 clean laps left me with a 9:30.

The first time I rounded Aremberg and was confronted with the deep red sunrise sky, I nearly forgave PD for all of their 'misjudgements' with this game . I though the hazy early morning light as I powered up the long rise towards Klostertal was really quite atmospheric; good work there.

Now, I need to stop getting distracted and lose 10 seconds somewhere...

How the #@$% do you take schumacher S so fast? I can somewhat pace your ghost and then poof your blue line is gone like a missile?
I think you use the curb but, when I try it I overrun the next corner.

Absolutely loved this TT, car and track are a treat. Enough of a challenge to be mildly difficult, but very attainable with a good clean lap. Great fun.

New leaderboard leader, someone from Hong Kong, and the 3 best times are now separated by .009 of a second!

I noticed two of them used strong active steering, so despite me being on a controller, I switched to strong too and finally golded it (not sure if it was the placebo effect or just me logging so many laps/tries, tbh not sure what active steering does) :dunce:

damn, should have gotten GT5...

you managed to get ghosts to work?
Previously, your friends' lines would start before the start/finish, now they're simply gone (mine does show up like regular ghosts). I know, now that the mental hurdle is passed, I got 9'10 and below in me, if only I could use their ghosts...

After 1 week of trying, after many many DQ laps, with only 5 legit laps, finally manage to tame the Green Hell with a nice 9:17.xx with DS3 / Directional Buttons for steering...It was a sweet nightmare for me...:boggled:
Nurburgring is a track that or you love itor hate it. I was in the "hate" side until now. This event helped me to learn enough this track and change my opinion.
I can't say I love it but definetely do not hate this track anymore :sly:

Good luck to everyone!

:)👍

I totally had the same experience with this TT isn't it funny how it went from driving us crazy to becoming enjoyable lol I place this one on the intensity chart right up there beside the final round of GT Academy in the GT3 GTR on Spa.

Question for those struggling, did you ever do the AMG school in GT5 for the ring?
They used to use a couple of sectors for it for the GT5 WRS qualifying too.

Can't think of a better tool to master the ring with. You can learn by sector.
Its broken down into 4 sectors that can be run dry or wet.

I still go back to it from time to time if I need to brush up.

It definitely helps to visualize and anticipate the turns and bumps, but returning to GT6 and hopping in the Lexus afterward can be dangerous! I barely clipped a curb as demonstrated by AMG, and the Lexus rolled 5-6 times and landed upside down!

I've done this and it was very helpful. In fact, the reason I bought GT5 in the first place was because I read somewhere about the 'ring AMG tests.

Another thing that really helped me was spending a lot of time on the 'ring in really really slow cars...like under 400 pp on sports hard tires. There's a lot to process and learn and it's just easier to do at 60-80 mph than at 100-140 mph.

I think somewhere a while back on some thread I can't remember...
...I posted that it would be nice to see a Ring Taxi school for GT6 since there is no AMG school.
The queen of the ring has actually been a mentor for previous GTAs.

I agree, with the slower cars technique and lines are really important.
...but nothing beats seat time on the ring, I miss the GT5 A-spec Seasonal events for that.

For all those who feel it's impossible, it's not!

Finally! I hate seeing anything other than glod trophies, and this on here was giving me fits! I'll echo previous sentiments... why hot lap Nür, why 8 gears, etc. My very first run was silver (don't remember time), then (as many others) a series of red laps "Hulk smash DS3!". I do my best to remain calm during any attempt, but c'mon 4, 5, 6 mins in and ya know yer on a good pace, yer heart will pump just a wee bit more, right?

Well a few days ago I hit 9:28ish and thought "ok, just be smooth and watch the high speed sweepers (where I am always a bit skiddish)". Again, more red laps (damn sweepers and if ya can believe it I frickin' red lapped to the inside of the carousel! ). Time fer a smoke break... Come back and knock 6 secs off my time! Alrighty, I can do this! A number of laps later and I shave a second just in the GP section! Feelin good, trying to remain calm, slow in fast out. I slowly gain as my lap progresses. 2 last concerns, the last turn before back straight (sorry, don't remember turn names well lol) gotta carry that speed and breaking for the "S", get throu clean enough and cross the line in 9:18:088!

Not the best time here and I think I could scratch out a bit more, but will leave it there lol

AT
AS (Mild as I was so twitchy with those sweepers)
TC-5
ASM-Off
ABS-1

I am finding that running this Time Trial is a bit addictive. :guilty::D And great fun!:)

Pushing hard on a hot lap, I've just done a double barrel-roll after clipping the left-side curb coming up out of Fuchsrohre. The game didn't even give me a DQ because I landed on the track on my roof!

Another re-start was in order since the previous run was a good one, and I've found another second, so I have lowered my best lap to 9:02.954 :):):)

See you on the tracks!

It's just that urge of needing to gold everything. I have it too, but I guess I can manage without golding that. And the event will be gone in a couple of weeks anyway. No one will ever know...
