Hey Matt, you're having fun with this TT I see. I'll be joining your rage in a while. I can't believe Josh didn't gold this one. What on earth is going on?Still 6 secs to lose though, will try again another day or i'll end up rage-quiting forever lol
and of my friends list only josh & i have a lap done it seems.
Are you insinuating I'm part of his "cheer squad?" I asked him to take this crap elsewhere as well. I doubt anyone wants to wade through this crap in every seasonal thread. Rant over.I'm just as sick of reading what his cheer squad says, same old same old. Who'll be the next baby sitter?
Furthermore, I have been told I will never beat him so why wouldn't I post when I have?
Mind you, my post was in no way offensive by any stretch of the imagination so what's the problem, people here regularly talk about getting in front of someone or other, nothing malicious in it.
Took several frustrating tries, but I finally golded it.
Congratulations on getting gold RACECAR, but perhaps posting an external view of your race would be a better choice though. Nearly 5 minutes of looking at a black screen doesn't do it for me. Cheers mate.
Yeah it ain't nothing easy to learn track this long this way. Try doing some laps in freerun mode in some nice car, after you start to have some idea how to flow tru the track whit some momentum, try it again.
And yeah, it's really hard to comprehend how those top guys do it, I mean i could find couple seconds on PB but still wouln't be even no were near them.
Could you explain to me JamesLSn1 what you mean here? I use a DS3 (buttons) but what is the 'd pad' and how/what is the switch to analog? Thanks mate.new here just did this time trial. I was having trouble with ds3 using the d pad which is what i always use. So I switched to analog and got 6 sec faster, finally got gold 9:19.211 almost flipped car lol
pad=directional buttonCould you explain to me JamesLSn1 what you mean here? I use a DS3 (buttons) but what is the 'd pad' and how/what is the switch to analog? Thanks mate.
The two sticks in the middle of the controller, it helps smooth the car and makes it easier to control on quick left to right changes like the cone challenges.Could you explain to me JamesLSn1 what you mean here? Thanks for that mate, forgot what the analog was.The two sticks in the middle of the controller, it helps smooth the car and makes it easier to control on quick left to right changes like the cone challenges.
How far off are you? Practicing offline can do wonders for your lap times. And if you're using the driving line, turn it off. I thought it would help, but I was going slower because I was concentrating on the line and not on the track.i give up on this. no gold for me on this one

For a couple of years the Nurb had been my most deaded track. I founded it daunting and couldn't believe how anyone could memorize such a long track. Now I'm starting to enjoy this track quite a bit.
AHHHHHHH WHY!!!!
Previous best time - 9:20:640
New best time - 9:20:134!!!!!!!
Great, another 50 more DQ's until i complete a clean Lap... hopefully 0:00:134 faster. UGH!
I concur. Anyone who claims that the average racer using a DS3 is the same as the average racer using a wheel is living in another world.i first did this with ds3 which i golded with, and lots of laps later got down to the 15,16's but i could not go any faster,so thought bugger this and got the old 200° wheel out, after getting used to this little wheel and several dq's my time started coming down and finally got under 9:10 and i was very chuffed hard work for me but this was fun...i am not the fastest out there with either but it is possible for those like me....ds3 settings abs 1 and sens on 6 i had drive line on but you can make your own.........and yes knowing the track does help a lot, practice in offline mode but time can be made up anywhere...........good luck to all.👍.....oh and i also got my fastest time on the other tt with me little wheel

I have found in this race that fast/sweeping curves especially, would be much easier with a wheel. Where you can hold the line without having to tap tap tap on the way around.

And tap tap tap means taking ones finger on and off the controller.
At the risk of argument, I am 4 seconds (at the finish) behind someone in a, over 9 minute, race who uses the best wheel on the market. I don't begrudge anyone using the best tools available, eg, we now ALL use SRF when it's available, but claiming racing superiority is a tad ingenuous in my opinion. Horses for courses.
I don't know how many people are faster than me in this race who use the buttons and I don't care, but I know some wheel users aren't. Well, there you go.
I concur.
At some tracks a select few DS3 users can compete but if the Corvette/Nurb TT from GT5 is any indication, at least 5 seconds is the gap between wheel and DS3 there on the old course, more on the 24hr.I concur. Ha ha, the 1st 38 racers here use the same wheel as you do, I would suggest it's the best available. No idea if it's the most expensive, just that it is obviously the best available for GT6.Since I know you are referring to me here, how could you not , I hardly use the best wheel on the market. (G27) Take your ass whipping and stop making excuses.

Success!! Getting gold in this TT is a personal victory. I've raced here so few times that I honestly didn't think it possible, specially after running a 9:36 on my first complete lap last night. I was on pace for a sub 9:15 lap right up to the carousel, but sadly it went down hill after that as the following section is pretty unknown to me. Then again I should be glad for having completed the lap, since I almost went off three times in that last section.
