im not on about the people who are causing the trouble, im on about how much pressure the public services are under...

Looting is one thing, but why burn houses, businesses and other buildings and people's cars for no reason? I heard earlier on Sky News that someone told the reporter he is looting to get his taxes back but I'm sure the cost of insurance and stuff will be going up in their area as well as for many others. Hope no one gets killed and the people who are doing this get sorted out.

The GF and I were thinking the same thing. It occurred to me that they could be insurance fires deliberately set so the "rioters" would take the blame for it. I only thought this because it was random buildings here and there instead of lots on one block.
The cars though? Just plain idiotic boredom.

I live in the New Cross area of London and its been quiet round here. Probably because there isn't a Currys or JJJBBBB sports to loot from.

Dear looters,
Do what you have to, just don't torch my car.

A tiger is apparently free in London. First image is CCTV of rioters breaking into the Zoo, second is a mobile phone photo of the Tiger, I've seen another photo too but lost the link.

I can't believe how its spreading :( Good luck all GTP'er who are affected by it - I cant imagine how terrifying it is. Remember, goods can be replaced, if heaven forbid it comes to that.

There are reports of riots taking place in Bristol according to Sky News. This comes just a few months after a riot which took place there over the opening of a new Tesco store.

That was from Italy.

Glad that's been cleared up then. Although a Tiger roaming around could be useful when it gets hungry.

I've heard from a few friends that people are gathering in parts of Derby although they aren't really doing anything yet, my guess is it will die down tonight then if the police don't react it could be worse tomorrow.

they also set sony's depot on fire in essex, waltham abbey which is a massive site (sky news)...and how is it spreading so quickly?! its nuts!!

Nottingham would be pretty scary, if it's true the gangs want to one up each other with how much chaos that can cause, well....

I don't want to say this, but what if the world is entering a false flag event.

What is happening at the moment:

*The stock market is falling apart.
*Large Riots
*Increase in oil prices

5 or 6 of these went past earlier on. Never seen them before.

That looks like an armored Ford Super Duty truck. Truck itself is one of the most common pickup truck in the States.

I just found out about this news in here. American local news takes the "local" part very seriously. They've been reporting about bunch of nothing.

Not being funny, but this is how the world could end. Not physically, but by the people living on it.
Meanwhile, Sainsbury's Warehouse on fire at Whaltham Abbey (massive fire) and Sony Distribution Centre on fire in Enfield. I used to live there... what a mess it's become.
Right now though, I'm fearing for my dad and his side of the fam. And I have to take a train through London tomorrow. Kind of want to cry.

For what though?

Sainsburys in bristol just set on fire 20 minutes ago: Source Sky News

Any idea which one? It's all getting rather closer to home. I saw 2 people walk past my house about 2hrs ago in hoodies, hoods up, faces covered. No trouble round here, but I think they must be involved in the trouble in the centre.

They didn't say sorry

"hieving and looting across the country. London calls it 'an abomination', Birmingham calls it 'a disgrace', Liverpool calls it 'a Monday"

a quote from a youtube video...a bit harsh isn't it?

It's 1 of 13 Jankel Guardian riot trucks that are used by the Metropolitan Police, Sky News are talking about these vehicles right now. It looks like the Met Police are bringing out the heavy machinery to try and deal with the situation.

You should add the increase in food costs, wages not rising and the HUGE hike in the cost of precious and non precious metal.
Drain covers are being taken from the streets and lead from rooftops.
Buy silver, buy gold. Money is almost worthless.
