Still have to get the PPs and the top speeds on 2 cars.

And where do you find out which cars are prize cars for what?
I think I saw one of these is a prize car.... Not sure though.

Audi s4 183mph hit limiter
Jaguar s type r 190mph did not red line
Jaguar loses a lot of revs when shifting to 5th and 6th gear is basically useless unless drafting or going down hill.

Just a tip... don't waste 3 minutes of your life like I did testing the Nissan Skyline Deluxe 63. :ill:
OMG, it makes the Honda Z Act's gearing seem right.
You can just take the gearbox out of the 63 skyline and throw it in the garbage!!! :boggled:

Ha ha I don't believe I've ever driven that car before but it makes laugh that you had to suffer the fate of driving it.

I don't know I may be on later if your still running it but I don't know if I'll make it. Thanks for the offer.

I can't get on tonight. :(

@amarynceos has several of the cars done already. :) I'm hoping more soon. ^^ :D

Once I get at least 3 sets of times together, then I'll see about trimming it down, and then we can probably get more people to test (with a smaller list).
But fear not... whatever cars get cut from this list, will probably make it into another list, so then you'll be ahead of things.

A few of the Legends cars are pretty pricey:

$525k -- DMC DeLorean S2 '04
$237k -- Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Coupé '54
$500k -- Dome ZERO '78
$375k -- Lancia Stratos '73

and the -- Plymouth XNR Ghia Roadster '60 is a cool $1,000,000:eek:

Bring your checkbook if you want to play in this league!:D

haven't tested that Golf V yet... but I'm suspecting it'll be in the ballpark of the Peugeot 207 & Focus 03.

These may be cheaper lists.
Well I htink there's 2 prize cars in the hot hatches, and several cars in the traffic list peeps already have from the Commuter list.

Obviously I'd have to cut down the Traffic list, as there are more than 16 there... but that's just a starting point.

The Plymouth is a prize car though. At least that's how I got mine.

But yeah, they are kind of pricey.

Not as much as the historic race cars or the classic super cars though.
I don't even have them all yet.

Someday I would totally like to do a mixer list with the historic race cars that fit together. Of course we'd have to have a few people each in each car... but the list could be done... I used to do that, suiting the numbers to match the participant level. Like with 9 people it would be 1-3 car-a, 4-6 car-b, 7-9 car-c. And then have another list for more people, etc.

I was referring to your legends list
Yes, but my point was that other lists with cars have worked, even though *I* got a 7 second spread between the fastest & slowest on Deep Forest. Meaning that spread for me on Deep Forest is not necessarily a big deal.
Now... if LongbowX was getting a 7 second spread at London... then I'd say we had a big problem.

Ha ha yeah.

Something to remember, I've got all kinds of ideas people mention... and I'm always filing them away in notes. :sly:

I'm not sure how keen I am on that particular list... But I kind of like the Volvo, Beetle, 120d, C4, and Abarth 500.
Though some of them I think are awful.
I hate the Brera Pig Window.

I decided to try some of the Legends cars at Cape Ring Inside, so I purchased a Alpine A110 1600S, the Lancia Stratos '73, and the Lancia Delta HF Integrale '91 and ran them for a couple of laps, and got some results:

1:06.067 -- Alpine A110 1600S '73
1:06.660 -- Lancia Delta HF Integrale '91
1:07.024 -- Lancia Stratos '73

The Stratos is the fastest, but because of its continuous tendency to oversteer and swap ends, you have to drive slowly and this makes consistent laps times tough (for me). The Delta Integrale is easy to drive but it has excessive understeer, so its just plowing thru every turn. Its very controllable but its front tires are just protesting all the time. The Alpine is the most enjoyable to drive and this seems to be reflected in the fastest lap time, though its perhaps down on power.

Now since I dropped a enormous chunk of change for all these "Legends" cars, I decided to see if there was an A-spec race that would re-fill my wallet.💡

So after a little searching I found one:

The GT Compact Car Championship Race # 2 at the Cape Ring Inside track (a National B Series race)(which pays out at $21,060 a race).

So I took the three Legends cars to Race # 2 at the Cape Ring Inside track and took on the AI.

My results for the three lap race:
-----------------------------------
3:19.986 -- Lancia Stratos '73
3:20.864 -- Lancia Delta HF Integrale
3:21.778 -- Alpine A110 1600S

So the fastest was the Stratos and the slowest was the Alpine, the exact opposite of what I got for my single lap tests.

Now, I would like to re-run each of the cars in the GT Compact Car race again to see if the ranking is consistent, just in case I happened to run a fast or a slow race, but its interesting how the rankings swapped. The AI do get in the way during the races, but it feels realistic to a real on-line race, so it feels representative.

See you inside:)

Would all the cars on the list fit into that race? (GT Compact Car nat b)
??

I wonder what other races there might be for my current lists...
(As you can imagine, I'm starting to have worries about credits. LOL)

If we can find some career mode races that fit all the cars of a single list...
it would go a long way to getting people testing the cars 💡
(ie; grinding while you test)
As long as they're all tested in the same race with the aids off... it should be a good way to judge the power/handling.

The Plymouth Ghia doesn't because it too long. The restrictions for the race is 4200 mm I think, plus 450PP.

And maybe a couple of the others might exceed the length restriction.

However, its a very good race for all the other cars on this list and on some of your other lists.

Surely all the cars on the Hot Hatches list would work in that Compact Car event, don't you think?

I'd only be worried about THE PIG WINDOW.

We have to find races all cars in a list can compete in.
They must exist!

With this...
GT6: Platinum trophy, 98/101% complete, Gold Super License
You must be very familiar with all the races. :boggled:
LOL

I think I have 24% complete. ha ha

I think that the Alfa Sky Window is too long, plus the Volvo C30 R Design and perhaps the Citroen C4 Coupe 2.0, and the VW Golf V GTI '05.

The BMW 120d '04 is right on the limit so we would have to test it.

Edit update:
---------------
I just tested the BMW and its too long!

The rest of the hot hatches would meet the length restriction I think.

I just checked the Ford Focus ST170 (which is the next longest hot hatch on your list) and it just fits under the race's length restrictions, so the game lets it into the Compact races.

One that comes to mind is the Polyphony Digital Cup race (International B Series).

Its restricted to 500PP or less and does not allow any tuning to your cars.

The only downside to this race is that the AI who show up are fairly fast(I've seen a Nissan GTR '07 and the Aston Martin DB9 Coupe), so in the low-powered cars, we wouldn't very likely win the races to gather the biggest cash payouts.

I mean like you could definitely win the Sunday Cup - but probably coming in 8th place in another would give you more credits.

On the Delta put harder tires on the rear, the Stratos put harder tires on the front (ie cm vs cs) and voila they become oh so much easier to drive. Not quite as fast but so much better balance gripwise.
