Man that is a nice Cobra!!!
How much power they got?
Also how much the car weights according to the sticker? Crub Weight and Gross Weight

Same as the GT since that is all it is. Canada badged it as a Cobra--which was retarded. 225bhp 300torque

Which seeing as its light and a manual transmission, its quite quick.

Dayum man, very nice. I wish Holden had small sports cars like this on the cheap, I'd own one. It kind of wants new rims and lowered coil-over suspension though.:sly:

Thanks, ya she's been wanting lows and some rims for the padt 23 years haha.

I think these car's were just under 3200lbs so ya with 225hp and 300ft lbs of torque, she does go.

ah, nice car. The GT never made it here so the scarce ones that loiter around are well cared for here. It needs 93 Cobra Wheels.

Nah, it needs the pony wheels.

I had the pleasure of driving one (*edit* just like yours) and enjoyed every nanosecond of it. I love them. :sly:

Congrats dude! Take care of her, but enjoy too ;)

Typical Ford interior. In the '80's and early '90's, the interior color matched the exterior color on Fords. Same with my Ranger.
Same with my F150. I'd kill for the porno red though, such a nice interior

Quoted 0-60 time: 6.2 seconds. Quite, quite quick!

Ponys :D

There was also a mesh wheel option on LXs of that time that looks great on them, but yours is a GT, so nevermind!

Twas thinking of some pony's but I'm currently on the hunt for a certain type of wheel for this car.

Hehe, ya I had a back country run in with a 350z and the stang was dead even in a straight line. :P

About the mesh's. I'm currently on the hunt for some Enkei 92's for this car. Saw some pics of Fox's with them and I fell in love!

What I really, really want is some CCW's though. Never knew they even made CCW's in 4 bolt!

Those are EXACTLY the mesh wheels I'm talking about! Never seen 'em on a GT, but those pix just showed me that's awesome :D The CCWs are NICE! But they cost an arm and a leg...

Priced em out and the CCW's come to $675 each for 17's. Definitely not as expensive as I had thought. Might be a possibility now.

GET THEM. They are awesome wheels and look so hardcore. A friend just bought a set for his 1969 Camaro (which may be the only car in Mexico to sport those wheels), and while it is far from done we presented them the other day and they look absolutely bad-ass. And they are not so pricey, indeed.

$2700 for 4 wheels? Please tell me there's a redeeming factor to those besides looking awesome! That's extremely expensive!

Maybe you should go for some Magnum 500 wheels, like what I have on the Ranger. But I'm not sure how they would look on a Foxbody. If real ones like mine are too expensive or hard to come by, you can always go for some replicas.

I've seen some Magnum 500's on a fox and was pleasantly surprised by how nice they actually looked. In the meantime, I think I'd settle with some mesh's first.

Realized something important.....Car has wheel locks, car does not have key nor did the last owner....Any ideas?

Sawzall.

Where's the thread of the V-Dub guy who cut his wheel apart just to cut thru a locked lug he had no key for?

Take it too any tire place, they have a tool that takes them right off. You won't be able to use the lugs again, but I don't think thats a problem for you anyway.

If you can't find a place that has one, let me know, I know of a place that I use thats about 30 mins away from you.

So you have a stock 5.0 and you want to put expensive rims on it as your first mod.

You're doin' it wrong.

Clean car though. Keep it that way.

No not exactly, I wouldnt get CCW's as a first mod on this car ha. Wanna make this car into an autocross car rather than go the usual route mustangs go. I'm thinking some suspension mods and then some sticky tires first. Still want to get the stock mesh's that came on older fox body stangs to replace the turbine rims though.

I see you've gotten yourself an '88. What happened to your other Mustang?

If you want to get all suspension stuff first, start saving your money and check out http://maximummotorsports.com

They make all the best stuff. There is no better setup for a Fox. It is also, massively expensive. I'm getting the Road & Track box eventually.
I've had the '88 for over a year and a half. Long story. It's got more mods than I can even remember, and not yet finished.

Another place to look into for suspension is called Griggs. There's some bickering about whether MM or Griggs is better, but both are great

Nice car man, even more so because your up here in Canada its getting harder to find a nice solid foxbody like yours. As for your mods.... you have exactly the right idea most people go for all the power then then realize they can't drive!

FYI - if you want wheels you are better off (saving money) getting them across the border.... i say make the day trip to either buffalo or detroit. Discount or Belle tire in Detroit have great deals.

Well got some parts for the 5.0 today....

Mustang LX tailights:
Hate the cheese grater tailights on the GT's so I picked up a set of LX tailights.

Steeda front strut bar:

MMkay everybody I have sold the Mustang....Actually more like traded it for something a little bit nicer!

It's a 1995 Camaro Z28....Hehe, crossed over to the dark side I guess.

Tunercat's was used to tune certain parts out.

It's tuned on 94 octane and the owner assures me it makes around 300 to the wheels. Considering how it drives I might have to believe that.
And onto the pictures! These are pictures I've taken since I've got her. It's rolling on stockers right now as the ZR1 rims are rolling on summers...

I've also got a pic of it sitting on the ZR1 rims that I wish I could put on right now...

So far, I'm loving it. I swear it makes my Stang feel like an economy car!

Pah. Not a Trans am.

XD

Nah, I actually like the phase I gen IV Camaro better than the Ph. II, though that's reversed with the Firebird. Looks like a good catch.
