you can use any driver, i used my level 40 stig on all 3

You're right - I had all my B-Bobs set to "shared", so it wouldn't let me use 'em.

Anyway, I retired a couple of my L40 Bobs and started a new guy, and went right out and started winning with him.

Took a few tries on Rome, but the NSX LM Prototype Road Car did the trick once I tuned it down to 500pp. Won by 1.6 seconds.

For those complaining about this Seasonal just because it's B-Spec as opposed to A-Spec, at least this is something different. Don't you at least give PD credit for trying to expand upon the range of Seasonal Events with something like this? This is a different challenge. And besides- B-Spec racers, whether you like them or not, need some challenges outside of the in-game races. I also get tired of hearing/seeing people say that B-Spec is the computer playing itself for you. B-Spec was primarily mostly about being your own racing team principal in guiding racers to doing better. GT5 actually does this much better than GT4.

So let's not treat B-Spec and this B-Spec challenge like how the Standard cars are mostly treated. Let the B-Spec boys/girls play already!

For some, it is never enough. I enjoyed B-Spec due to team concept. My car, their driving.

Sheesh, sometimes its never anything but complain whatever the result. I'm happy - job done. Earnt some cash, going to milk it even more tomorrow and the day after because I don't have to sit there and drive for hours (like I did for a 9hr A-spec endurance race I finished on Weds).

If you don't like it don't race it or play it - no-ones forcing you, similarly don't bitch about it endlessly send constructive ideas to PD or stfu kindly.

Newsflash:

If you don't like B-spec you don't have to play it.
If you don't like racing suits and helmets, you don't have to equip them.

Just thought I'd spell it out for the people that can't think for themselves.

LOL:tup:👍👍

Keep in mind that none of my drivers are at Level 20, yet my B-Spec drivers still won the Rome Circuit event. That event recommends Level 20 B-Spec drivers. My highest-skilled B-Spec racer lost by 13 seconds and finished 2nd at Tokyo R246. Once I reached Level 20 B-Spec, I made a fifth B-Spec racer. I got to get him going (his name is J.Orlando; Jon Orlando I call him).

Just now, my second lowest-level B-Spec racer won the High Speed Ring event! I challenged him to win it again, and he did! The modifications to its Performance Points was mostly in providing ballast to the car (first time I toned down a car's performance with ballast modifications). My winning car was my 2003 Volkswagen Lupo GTi Cup Car.

All that remains for Gold for my drivers is to win the Tokyo R246 event.

Rather than just a B-Spec Seasonal, I would have liked to see it released as an A-Spec as well so it can cater to people who don't care for B-Spec.

I don't mind it being B-Spec but do think PD should have released in both A & B Spec flavours so all are happy :)

I first tried HSR with a level 34 Bob in a modded Volvo C-30. He got past the last 8 cars in 2 laps. I figured he might need a little coaxing but it should be an easy win. By this time the lead group of 5 cars had pulled ahead a bit. During the 3rd lap he wasn't gaining on the them so I had to tell him to speed up. By the middle of the 4th lap he had caught up to the 5th place car but was staying behind him. I gave him the overtake command and it took him until the middle of the last lap to get past. The 2 lead cars had pulled out a good gap but I figured 3rd would be pretty good for the first try. He quickly passed the 4th place car and got right on the bumper of the 3rd place car. I hit overtake again, but he didn't move from behind him all around the last corner. He must be setting him up for a pass out of the corner I thought. Unfortunately it was the 4th place car behind him that actually executed that maneuver and Bob came in 5th.

Won the High Speed Ring on my first run with a Mercedes Benz 190 E 2.5 - 16 Evolution II '91 with 215 HP but idk what car to use next :indiff:

Thanks for sharing that. I used the same car/HP for an easy win.

I won the Rome event in a fully upgraded and detuned to 500pp Dome Zero Concept '78. My level 31 Bob needed prompting to pass the lead car on the 4th lap though, before going on to win. If you want an even easier time, then a Citroen Zsara Rally Car tuned to 497pp wins with no prompting whatsoever.

I used the Citroen for Rome and it was another easy win, thanks again.

I'll try 246 tomorrow.

In case anyone's looking for hints on what cars to use...

In stock condition, the fastest car below 400PP by FAR, is the Hommell Berlinette.

I recommend a fairly good Bob though, since the car likes to step out with its back in turn 3 on HSR (the first right-hander of the esses).

I tried with a level 32 Bob, and he won by 24 seconds on first try (with coaching).

Good thing is that the Tokyo R246 event is ten laps because there's no way in Hell you're going to pass eleven fast cars from 12th place in five laps on a track like Tokyo R246.

My downtuned R10 TDI Stealth got to first in 4 laps in Class 40 driver. It is possible.

I have Rome worked out:

RUF Yellowbird with no upgrades or oil change or detune to 500 wins very, very comfortably. In fact it gets the lead come lap 2 or 3. You can buy it in the seasonal OCD.

Sit in a close room watch tv or surf the net, start a race then wait 7.5 minutes press x, x, x, o, x, x, x with a few seconds between each and you'll collect your money and start another event. Rinse and repeat. Earns you 1 million every 20 minutes, and your partner won't even know you're doing it!

If that's the case (Post #84), I may well tune down my Peugeot 908 or some other car. Good thing is that the Tokyo R246 event is ten laps because there's no way in Hell you're going to pass eleven fast cars from 12th place in five laps on a track like Tokyo R246. I also have the R10 TDI as a car that can be borrowed, but I'm using the 908 HDi FAP as my high-end Premium Le Mans racing machine. I may try Tokyo R246 and High Speed Ring again to try to claim Gold in both.
Bold - My level 40 driver did it with the Gamestop Joey Logano car and the Stealth NSX.

My M. Schumacher in BMW M3 GT3 did some good racing and went to 1st on second to last lap. He's 39lvl btw.

Pretty impressed by my bob in fully mod Enzo. His best lap was 1:42 while I barely managed 1:41 in same Enzo (supercar fest) after much practice. Was much worse than my bob initially. I would likely lose to my bob in a race as he is more consistent.

HSR: Lupo GTI Cup Car
Rome: Renault Trophy Race Car

IT'S OVER!!! I took the Mazda Furai advice and won at Tokyo R246 at long last. My B-Spec driver sure made it dramatic as he was surely spent. His Strength was gone, and his Mental Strength was near gone. Chasing me down was a Ferrari 330 P4. Still, my man got it done. All I had to do was add some 50 kilograms ballast, and this car was great.

So my B-Spec team has now won on every course in this Seasonal. Great to knock down all these races. Getting 75K Experience (with 200% bonus) is also very cool after this win.

Guess my level 16 Bob isnt good enough as the Renault Trophy Car only made it to 3rd on repeated tries. Finally used the RUF Yellowbird and Bob took the lead on lap 4. McLaren F1 GT car took an easy win at R246.
