Thanks. That's a strange intermittent error I get every once in a while. I'm pretty sure it's a timing issue - something happening a little sooner or a little later than I expect.

I think I've fixed it in the next version, but time will tell.

And I'm getting close to releasing the next version. In the next handful of days, hopefully.

Just downloaded and set up my GranTracker account. This is extremely well done and hopefully will encourage me to get better. I’ve enjoyed this tread with you and @TheNormsk going back and forth working through the bugs even though I don’t speak that language at all.

If there’s a minor bug to report it would be my progress bar doesn’t seem to be working properly but there’s a possibility that the errors are occurring at my end.🤔 - lol

I concur. Definitely a bug. My progress bar has also stopped advancing this week, so I think the tool is definitely broke.

Mine too - it won't go past 76%! In all seriousness, as @TheNormsk knows, the percentage is off by 1%, which isn't that big of a deal. But it's fixed in the version I'm about to release for beta testing.

Not sure if I mentioned this before but are you all aware you can add new races every week's schedule? I added an "M" race to cover last week's race. This week I added a "N" race and so far everything seems to work out. Just wanted to throw that out there in case others are not tracking these other races that affect our DR & SR.

Thanks for pointing that out. Also, you can reuse the letters if you want. (I think - correct me if I'm wrong.)

Hopefully not that long. But if nobody seems interested in beta-testing it, I'll just release it to production. It's no big deal.

Is it possible to add car manufacturer to the DR grid? I looked at the custom fields but you can't add a drop down field based on existing data items so I figure this is something you would need to add to the standard grid column hide/show options.

If I ever make it out to Southern California I really need to owe you a beer or two or more..

I noticed that the crtl-D function to copy values from the prior race is not working for my custom field if the race is race A. I worked for me last week with race B but for race A this week, not working.

The race letter shouldn't matter. Remember that it can only copy a previous value if the previous race for that week in that race letter has a value to copy.

Hi, still appreciating your program very much! v2 works flawlessly, no crashes or errors while importing screenshots.

Here are some things I'd like to see, either I'm too stupid to find it or it's not (yet) possible:

• Race weeks: I can't enter a description for Daily Races, only for manually added races
• Edit custom fields in race week section: I'd like to add fields for fuel, tyre multiplier etc. basically all infos included in GTPlanet's articles.
• When adding a new race screenshot, I'd like to have all fields except start, end position, CRB and FL pasted as the most common use case is doing the same race with the same car again. Oddly, Race B is always selected even when the previous race was not.

Not sure why I don't allow you to enter a description for daily races. I'll look into it.

Custom fields in race weeks - Yeah, I was just thinking about that yesterday. It may or may not happen, but I can certainly see the benefits.

It already duplicates those fields, but you're right - it only does it for Race B. I'll look at why it always selects race B. Probably a leftover from the code I originally wrote, where I only did race Bs, and never changed it.

No, you'll have to add those yourself (it's easy). I am working on a new feature that will update some data, but not cars for right now.

New features include SR Percentages, and Data Updates (you can download the new Race Week Daily Races each week, instead of having to create it by hand). Other goodies too, so make sure you check the version history.

FYI, for those who are waiting for the ability to enter new races manually, that's next on my list.

1) Is this something you still want to see? I know that a lot of people are losing interest in the game, so I just wanted to check.

2) If the answer to #1 is Yes, then how would you like it to work? Specifically, what should the Date/Time default to, and what should the Race Letter default to? If anything.

I still think the ability to enter manual races to be very useful.

I’m not losing interest in game but now I’m in the Holiday season and also busy with work, I’m spending less time on it. I expect to be much more active back in January. I better be as my new cockpit arrives on Thursday. Either that or I’ll be in iracing as I just spent the day setting up a pc for that…. 🤫

For manual races I would default to race A as that is primarily a no DR race so tend to be the one that I forget about recording a screen shot for.

What may be useful as well that would expand the usability on the tool is to allow a free form race entry. I know that would be more difficult to program, but it may then appeal to people in leagues, and who do online custom lobbies. They could potentially enter races that are specific to them, and not part of the Gran Turismo sports campaign.

For date and time just default it to current. You can edit date and time just like you do now. I always edit my dates to be the precuse start time of the race and not the time the screen shot was taken anyway.

Thank you for asking my opinion. Use your program as much as possible.

I may not be the best person to ask as I limit my online racing to race A mainly (if I even race online - too many nasty people for me).

Honestly most of my racing goes unrecorded because having to remove the external drive, plug in a USB jump drive to copy the results, move it to a computer and import the results. This is easy if you have 1 or 2 races a day but when you do 5 it becomes a pain to remember where I started and where I finished. Did I get a CRB, fastest lap, or special notes related to the race? I am getting to old to remember details like I used to AND too lazy to write everything down.

I always have the computer on the H-shifter stand next to me and it would be easy to enter the data while it happens. I know I wouldn't get the updated DR & SR but I could figure out a way to match them later if needed (via import).

I am selfish and look forward to your updates. I would like them to continue but understand if there is no community for it then why would you waste your valuable time continuing to update it. You like racing, does this make your racing funner (was considering using "better" but "funner" seemed more appropriate)? Is working on this program worth your time?

If manual entries was to come to fruition, date\time could default to system time (as long as it is editable). Race letter wouldn't matter as long as it is also editable.

FYI, the Data Updates for Race Week 2023-49 are now available.

There's a small issue: Race A is supposed to use "Snow" tires, and I don't have that kind of tire in the Lookup table. So I set it as "CS". Feel free to change it yourself if you care.

A future update will address this issue.

I am selfish and look forward to your updates. I would like them to continue but understand if there is no community for it then why would you waste your valuable time continuing to update it. You like racing, does this make your racing funner (was considering using "better" but "funner" seemed more appropriate)? Is working on this program worth your time?

It is indeed worth my time, because 1) I use it, and 2) It's been a blast to write. It's using different technology than I used when I was still working, and has different challenges too.
