Needs more Mustangs.
Hmmmm...I must not be having as much fun with this game as I thought I was having.
Now I'm confused.![]()
Needs more Mustangs.
Overall, I feel I'll eventually enjoy this game, and I guess it's good for a breather from gt5. However, I have two major gripes with it.
1. Input Lag! I hate this, with a passion. Did they bother testing this thing? Oh, it takes a second and a half for your car to react? Good enough, lets ship it out so we can get the next nfs game out in two weeks.
2. No one else has really commented on this, but it still bugs me. 720p. EA does this for all their games, and it makes me angry, because there's no excuse for it. It's just laziness and a lack of pride in their "work."
/rant. Thanks for listening guys.
Why oh why must rolling starts for time attacks hand over control mid corner... so frustrating.
Oh, it takes a second and a half for your car to react?
I've found the freezing problem occurs much more with the faster cars. Anything with a rating of 1900+ and I'm looking at two freezes an hour, but I can race C-Class all day long. WTF? A patch can't come quick enough.
Finally someone with the same problem as me.
I guess you're on PS3?
I haven't found anything that reduces the risk of freezing though...
Driving slower cars is the only thing that helps.
I've registered a case with EA support, they have passed it on to "extended support" whatever that its.
Yeah, I'm on PS3. As far as EA support goes, every racing forum I've been on (including EA's Shift forum) has numerous complaints about the freezing issue so I wouldn't expect a personal response from them. They know about it so we just have to wait for the patch now, which I think should probably arrive mid-May.
I finally tried it with a wheel...it's all right, much easier to handle than with the ds3 hahah anyways i have is question..is there a way to make it fully manual so it doesn't shift for you automatically whenever you hit redline? I can't find the setting for this
It's nearly unplayable without a wheel.
Sounds like the Physics are terrible. Not worth the money.
Great, another one drawing conclusions without even having tried the game. 👎
Wow, the physics are not as bad as I've seen people describe them.
You have to take it for what it is, most of the time, which is either:
1) People who are fanboys of another franchise and who will never like Shift 2.
3) People who drive using a hand controller and complain that the game is not "sim" enough.
2) People who expect the default wheel settings to be 100% to their liking out of the box.
3) People who expect the default car setups to be 100% to their liking out of the box.
4) People who are impatient and get mad when they feel like they are not as good at driving as Michael Schumacher, because they are used to playing against an AI that doesn't present any form of challenge whatsoever.
Exactly, especially the first one. This is why I always try a game out myself before listening to anyone else's opinion or a review.
